Chapter 5181: Hell’s LordFeng Ye listened to their words, then stared at them for a moment longer before suddenly bursting into laughter. He said to Hao’er and Muchen, “Yue’er isn’t even ten yet. How could she possibly understand these matters of love and affection? You two are worrying needlessly.”
At her age, how could she possibly grasp romance? Discussing such matters with these youngsters was far too premature.
“Alright, alright. Hurry up and eat. Finish quickly so you can return and wait—otherwise they’ll be searching for you later.” Feng Ye finished his meat in a few bites, then took out a handkerchief to wipe his hands and mouth clean.
After the group finished eating and returned to their seats, Xiao Junyan beside Yun Qi noticed her staring at him strangely. He couldn’t help asking, “What’s wrong?”
Yun Qi stared at him for a moment, shook her head, and replied with a smile, “Nothing.”
She turned her gaze forward, just as her parents emerged. Her eyes settled on them. Her Father wore a low-key yet luxurious black robe, its collar and sleeves embroidered with dragon patterns in gold thread. Her Mother wore a simple yet dazzling red gown. Yun Qi’s eyes crinkled into a smile as she murmured, “They look so beautiful.”
Hao’er and Muchen also watched their parents, who walked arm in arm like a perfect couple. Smiles touched their faces. “Yes, they look truly beautiful.”
Their Father and Mother were so perfectly matched, so pleasing to the eye. When they walked together, the entire world seemed to pale in comparison.
“They’re so well-suited, truly a match made in heaven.” Mei Zhuxin chimed in beside them, her eyes sparkling as she watched the perfect couple approach.
Xiao Junyan’s gaze also fell upon the two figures walking slowly ahead. He had heard many legends about them, each one a sensation that shook the heavens and earth. As he looked at them, beyond their rare beauty unmatched in the world, he saw the powerful aura radiating from both of them.
The Phoenix Empress, clad in crimson, gently linked arms with Hell’s Lord by her side. A faint smile graced her exquisite face. Her aura was deeply restrained, seemingly reaching a state of nothingness, making it impossible to discern her true strength or cultivation. One could only sense that this impenetrable aura was immensely powerful.
Beside her, Hell’s Lord wore a black robe embroidered with golden dragon patterns—a look that was understated yet commanding. His aura, however, radiated outward unrestrainedly. A single glance swept over the crowd, carrying the formidable pressure of a true powerhouse—sharp and commanding. He resembled a sovereign surveying his domain, looking down upon his subjects. That gaze compelled people to involuntarily lower their heads, unable to meet his stare.
This was his first encounter with the legendary pair of powerhouses. He knew only that their might made him feel utterly insignificant in their presence.
By now, the crowd had risen to their feet. As Hell’s Lord and the Phoenix Empress halted their steps ahead, they respectfully bowed their hands in salute.
“Greetings, Hell’s Lord, Phoenix Empress.”
The synchronized voices rang out in unison. As the crowd finished their bow and lifted their heads, a voice from ahead spoke.
“Gentlemen, no need for such formalities. Please be seated.”
Xuanyuan Mo Ze gestured with a raised hand, guiding Feng Jiu to take the seat of honor.
Only after they were seated did the others follow suit.
“For this day of celebration, you have journeyed thousands of miles. This cup, I offer to you all.” Xuanyuan Mo Ze raised a cup, extending it toward the assembly.
