"These are wontons. I made them with fresh spirit beast meat and a secret seasoning blend. Would you like some? I’ll make a few for you to try." As she spoke, she began preparing them, adding, "I thought I’d change things up for Master. Eating porridge every day gets monotonous."

"Oh, you mentioned bringing food to your master?" She pulled out a bowl, adding seasonings while glancing at her. "Would you like your master to try this?"

"My master doesn’t usually eat breakfast. He never ate much back on the mountain, and since arriving here, I’ve noticed he hasn’t eaten much these past few days either. Last night, he mostly drank wine without eating much food. So I thought, since Mi’er has such delicious things here, I could bring some over for my master." She spoke with a smile, watching as the bowl was pushed toward her. Inside, several wonton dumplings floated in steaming broth, releasing a tantalizing aroma. Even though she was already full, the scent made her swallow involuntarily.

"Just the smell is heavenly. If I’d known Mi’er was making this, I wouldn’t have eaten breakfast this morning." She sighed softly, scooping up a spoonful of broth and taking a bite of a dumpling. Her eyes lit up.

"How is it? Isn’t it delicious?" Mi’er was quite confident in her cooking skills. Seeing her satisfied little face, she couldn’t help but smile happily.

"Mmm, mmm, mmm, it really is delicious. I think my master will love it~" She added with a beaming smile, "Sister Mi’er, please make me a big bowl. I’ll take it to my master."

"Alright, just wait a moment. I’ll make it for you right now." Song Mi’er said cheerfully, fetching a large bowl and placing some wontons into the pot to boil. She added, "These can’t be left too long or they’ll lose their flavor. When you take them over, have your master eat them while they’re hot. If he likes them, let me know and I’ll make more for him."

"Thank you, Sister Mi’er~" Yue’er said with a beaming smile.

"No need to be so polite," Song Mi’er replied cheerfully.

Yue’er waited by the kitchen, chatting with Mi’er until a steaming bowl of wontons was placed in a food box. Only then did she say, "Sister Mi’er, I’ll go deliver these to my master now. I’ll come find you to play later."

"Alright, be careful not to burn yourself." Mi’er reminded her.

"Got it!" Yue’er waved her hand, stepped out of the kitchen, and headed straight for the courtyard where her master lived.

Xiao Junyan spotted her on the path. Seeing her carrying a food box and walking cautiously, as if afraid of spilling its contents, he called out, "Yun Qi."

Hearing the voice, Yue’er stopped and looked in the direction of the sound. Seeing it was Xiao Junyan, she smiled and greeted him, "Good morning, Big Brother Xiao!"

"I was just about to come find you," Xiao Junyan said, stepping closer to her.

"Oh? Looking for me? Is something up?" Yue’er asked. Seeing him staring at her as if he had something to say, she suggested, "Big Brother Xiao, how about this—I’ll come find you later! I’m just about to deliver breakfast to my master, and this won’t taste good if it sits too long."

Hearing this, Xiao Junyan nodded. "Then I’ll wait for you at Rainbow Bridge."

"Alright, I’ll come find you later then. I’ll be off now!" She waved her small hand cheerfully before continuing onward with the food box.

Watching her retreating figure, Xiao Junyan pressed his lips together. He turned and walked away, heading toward Rainbow Bridge.
