"Besides, we’ve got no beef with her... Wait... Could it be... she overheard us talking about her earlier? That’s impossible, right?" The other man in brocade robes spoke, but before he could finish, another loud fart echoed through the room, making his face flush crimson.
"Chase her! Don’t let her escape!" they exclaimed, leaping to their feet. But as they stood, their expressions changed again.
"Go!" They couldn’t just stand there. They had to catch that woman first!
So, those below witnessed the Young Masters darting out like shadows, accompanied by several more resounding farts echoing through the air...
Meanwhile, Yue’er was already humming a tune as she made her way toward the Xiao residence.
"Is this the place?" She looked up at the Xiao family’s gate and approached to knock.
"Who goes there?" The gatekeeper opened the door and, seeing a young girl, immediately broke into a smile. "May I ask if you are Miss Yun?"
"Yes." Yue’er nodded in response.
"Miss Yun, please come in." The gatekeeper hurriedly opened the door for her. Just then, a middle-aged man stepped out briskly. Looking at Yun Qi, he smiled and said, "Miss Yun, I am the steward of the household. The young master instructed that upon your arrival, you should first rest in the courtyard."
"Alright." Yue’er responded, following the steward while taking in the surroundings.
After reaching the resting courtyard, Yue’er lay down on the bed and began to rest. Thus, she was unaware that as evening fell, a man dressed in brocade, panting heavily, sneaked in from outside and made his way toward her courtyard...
