Back in the day, when they were traveling together, they’d encountered that little girl named Yun Qi. Several grown men had suffered at her hands, and to make matters worse, they couldn’t find her afterward. No wonder Shen Shiqi had never forgotten that mischievous little girl. Even now, the memory of that incident remained vivid in their minds.

"Come to think of it, I’ve heard of someone named Yun Qi these past years. I just don’t know if it’s the same person." Shen Shiqi mused, fiddling with the cup in his hand.

"You mean Azure Emperor’s youngest disciple, Yun Qi? Doubt it’s the same person—probably just a coincidence of names," another man interjected.

"I’ve heard of Azure Emperor’s disciple too. He dotes on her terribly, even securing the Divine Whip as her personal weapon." Another man chimed in, "But her origins are said to be quite mysterious. None of the Azure Emperor’s three disciples are known to come from any particular noble house."

"Hey, look! It seems like a fight broke out over there." One nudged his friend beside him. "We’re just hanging around anyway. Why not go check it out?"

With that, the group settled their bill and left the tavern, heading toward the crowd of onlookers gathering on the street.

When Xiao Junyan followed Yun Qi to the scene, he saw that the group fighting included young men from a collateral branch of the Xiao family. Aside from one girl shouting anxiously nearby, the other two or three youths were already injured—blood trickling from their mouths, eyes swollen from blows.

The four youths on the opposing side clearly held the upper hand, looking far less battered than the two Xiao family members.

Watching this scene, he neither intervened nor called for a halt, merely staying by Yun Qi’s side to observe.

If they were outmatched yet still fought, as long as no one died, let them battle it out!

Yun Qi watched their chaotic brawl with gleaming eyes. Seeing others fight made her own hands itch to join in.

After entering the Xiao family, she’d gone to the guest quarters to rest and hadn’t met the other members. Thus, she didn’t recognize that two of the brawlers were Xiao family scions.

"Those three are slightly weaker than the other four. Plus, they have one more person, giving them the numerical advantage. If this fight continues, they’ll just end up taking a beating," Yue’er said, her chin resting on her hand as her gaze fixed on the brawl.

"These are all young masters from prominent families. They know their limits. At most, they’ll just get some superficial injuries." Xiao Junyan spoke slowly, his gaze also fixed on the figures in front.

"Big Brother Xiao, do you know them?" Yue’er, sensing from his tone that he might recognize those people, couldn’t help but look at him.

Just as Xiao Junyan was about to speak, a voice called out.

"Big Brother Xiao!" Xiao Xiaolin’s eyes lit up upon seeing him, and she hurriedly ran towards him.

Xiao Junyan gave her a faint glance but said nothing.

Yue’er blinked, watching the delicate-looking girl with interest.

So he does know her!

"Big Brother Xiao, what should we do? They’re fighting! I can’t stop them!" she said anxiously, her worried gaze fixed on the group tangled in a brawl.
