As Yun Jhin got closer and closer to the black spot he could start to recognize what it truly was!It was a dark pagoda made out of hellish iron of the highest quality! Even though he was far away he could recognize the iron from a glance, he still remembered how he almost lost his life to a rival of his from hell who wore an armor made from this iron!
The power of this iron was that the more of it existed the stronger the defensive capabilities of it would be, so technically that gigantic pagoda should be impenetrable!
Also, the pagoda shouldn't even exist, the iron was very rare and even those in the 9th layer wouldn't squander it on anything besides heavy armors.
Yun Jhin frowned as he got closer to the pagoda, he could feel other ki signatures appearing in the 7th layer that he was rather apprehensive of, they were all at the later stages of the sage realm and above!
undefinedYun Jhin could feel their presence because they were making sure to expose it and the distance between them wasn't that big, it seemed the inhabitants of the 7th layer weren't the only ones who wanted to get a piece of this inheritance.
Yun Jhin didn't mind the competition, these types of inheritances were extremely hard to get and they grew accordingly harder to the cultivation and battle power of the person who entered.
So if a God realm expert entered he would have tasks that only a God Realm expert could do, the same could be said for the realms below.
As Yun Jhin got closer and closer to the pagoda he felt that the same could be said about the people that came after him, and he wasn't talking about the sage realm experts!
He could feel that his hair was rising due to danger and that only meant one thing, God Realm experts were making their move!
While he didn't mind them entering the pagoda for the inheritance he didn't want to be seen by them or there would be trouble!
He immediately used his stealth technique as he stopped teleporting, teleportation would attract attention due to the energy fluctuations that would pierce through space, fortunately, he wasn't that far from the pagoda anymore and he could fly there.
Yun Jhin looked up and saw spatial cracks appearing in the air, he was currently laying on the hot ground of hell which was almost akin to lava, the lava-like heat didn't really affect Yun Jhin at this point, after all, his body refinement rank was at the maximum possible.
The 5 Gods from the 9th layer appeared and looked around, they felt the fluctuations of space breaking at high speeds that were comparable to themselves and they thought there was another companion from the 9th layer but there was no one here.
They realized that the person who was teleporting didn't want to meet them so they snorted and left with a flick of their sleeves, it wasn't that they didn't want to search for the culprit but they wanted to rush to the inheritance and the first ones to enter so they would have a higher chance of getting to the inheritance first.
Yun Jhin flew at a low altitude at his quickest speed while making sure he didn't emit any ki, he knew that if he let out any fluctuations of ki those three could come back and attack him.
While they wanted to rush to the pagoda and be first, they wouldn't mind taking care of the competition on the way.
Yun Jhin's control over his own ki was as exquisite and perfect as it could be so there was no chance for them to find him if he didn't want them to.
After another while of flying, Yun Jhin arrived at the base of the pagoda, it was stretching endlessly into the red skies of the 7th layer and it was quite imposing, Yun Jhin admired it for 1 second before he started to search for the entrance.
He could see that some sages tried to barge into the Pagoda from time to time but there was no luck on their side
There were no Gods around and that meant they should have entered the pagoda by now.
Yun Jhin looked around the gigantic pagoda and couldn't find any entrance, there were no doors, windows, or any openings that he could exploit to enter it, not even the tiniest one!
It was just a giant pagoda made of dark hellish iron and he really didn't know how the others entered, the inheritance of hell was something foreign to him and all he could do now was try and see how he could enter it.
He tried multiple ways, infusing his ki into the pagoda, trying to hit it with his fists, attacking it with his techniques, but all he did was fail spectacularly, his attempts also riled up the other sages around as they tried to do the same thing as him.
Yun Jhin frowned, if these types of interactions didn't work that meant there would be a need for a key or some sort of sacrifice, considering all of the sages were still around and living that meant there was no need for a living sacrifice.
Yun Jhin thought for a short while before he realized that the multicolored rock might be the key to enter the Pagoda, it was too much of a coincidence for the Pagoda to appear a little bit later after the first multicolored rock was found.
But how the hell did Hao Tian get his hands on such a thing? The mysteries of being a fortuned one...
Yun Jhin took the multicolored rock out of his spatial dimension and the Pagoda immediately reacted as a door opened in front of him, Yun Jhin couldn't even do anything before the door absorbed him along with the rock!
The surroundings were all dark, just like the emptiness one felt right after death or before one was born.
Yun Jhin didn't like this type of environment at all, it reminded him of all of his failures at achieving true eternal life.
He also felt something wasn't right, he tried to look around only to feel that he couldn't move his head nor his body anymore, it was just like back then when he was newly born as a caterpillar.
This wasn't right... what type of test was this?
Yun Jhin tried his best to move or even make a sound but all he did was a small movement with his left foot.
He couldn't hear anything, he couldn't see anything, he couldn't smell anything!
This was a type of torture in itself, however, Yun Jhin started to adapt to this after a short while, he had been in more precarious situations before and this situation could also be used to temper his soul so he could restore them to their former peak.
As time passed Yun Jhin could feel that his body was getting stronger and stronger, with his meditation he could even get some silvers of ki from the void and infuse them into his body to strengthen it.
He could feel that he wasn't connected to the celestial realm anymore as he couldn't cultivate using celestial ki anymore.
However, this could be considered normal as the inside of the pagoda could have technically cut his connection to the celestial realm due to the spatial interference, if he guessed correctly he was just a baby right now!
Yun Jhin wasn't sure what the test consisted of but he was currently unborn with the mind of an adult, this didn't happen in all of his previous lives as normally a soul would enter the baby's body when they would make their first cry.
Time trickled by slowly as Yun Jhin's body increased in size and strength, finally, after what felt like an eternity Yun Jhin could feel the wind tickling his small naked body!
He looked up to see a roughed shaved face of a man who wore a wolf's head like a cap, he gazed into Yun Jhin's eyes as he put his finger on his belly and inserted a fringe of ice-cold ki into it.
Yun Jhin could feel that his vitality was quickly being severed by the finger and that his new life was quickly coming to an end.
The man shook his head seeing Yun Jhin's cooling body as he snorted:
"Another failure, what a bother, when will I get an offspring who can endure the Ice Transformation of Heaven and Earth technique?"
Yun Jhin's eyes were slowly closing as his body went numb, the man also dropped Yun Jhin as he was holding him by the left foot like he was a grape, Yun Jhin could feel time slow down as he was falling to the ground below him, he could identify it as granite meaning his tender brains would sprain on it immediately!
Suddenly a sickly cough could be heard as two arms held him and brought his cooling body to her chest, tears started to pour out of his new mother's eyes as she looked at her dying son.
She looked into the eyes of the male ahead of her and she couldn't do anything as the man glared at her.
Yun Jhin didn't feel anything as he died... things just stopped, reality cracked apart around him only to find himself in the same situation as back then, darkness, no smell nor sense of touch, he was practically a fetus again!
"This is so troublesome... what am I even supposed to do in this situation?"
Yun Jhin was currently stumped by the trial he was given by the pagoda, he thought that he might have to kill something or solve some puzzles just like normal inheritances but it seemed this was rather different to what he thought about...
It was definitely annoying, when he was born would his new-new father kill him too?
There was only one way to find out... and that was to wait.
