Chapter 176: A need for talents

This chapter is updated by NovelFree.ml

Yun Jhin flew in the starry sky as he navigated towards the ruins of the Blood Throne sect, now that Yuan Fang was critically injured and his soul was in disarray he could go back and get his hands on the formation core rebranding it with his own soul mark.

Even though the ruins were pretty destroyed, they were still rather useful as the formations were still active and all he had to do was reconstruct on them to get them back to 100% capability, it was cheaper to have a foundation already laid compared to just making a new one.

He was also very familiar with the layout of the territory so he knew how to fix it properly.

Thus this was his prime target to reconstruct his organization, at first, he would lay low while reconstructing so he wouldn't attract the ire of the righteous factions but first things first he needed talents...

Rome couldn't be built in a day and certainly not alone, so Yun Jhin needed certain talents to help him with the organization building and the other miscellaneous stuff, he didn't need strong people but people that could be used for that stuff.

undefinedYun Jhin flight speed increased as he got closer to the ruins and he continued thinking where could he even find these types of talents, could he hold something akin to the imperial exams in the mortal's world?

It would certainly be interesting but he needed the carrot and stick for it to work properly... the problem was that he was currently broke and the fate of the treasuries he left behind was unknown... there was a high chance Yuan Fang cleared out all of them already.

After a time of flying at high speeds through the starry sky, he finally reached the territory of the blood throne sect and saw the ruined buildings and other locations... if he remembered correctly the core of the formation that controlled the whole ruins was around the outer skirts in an unassuming building.

He slowly made his way towards the buildings and analyzed them with a critical eye to make sure that we're the ones that he wanted to enter.

There were quite many unassuming patches of rubble that were once buildings where he was so he had to identify the looks of the building by the material that was on the ground in front of him.

The blood throne sect was situated on a large-scale unmoveable meteorite that had been tempered with starlight and sunlight to last for an infinite amount of years and all of the buildings on it were made of especially though alloys and rocks but while the meteorite was practically indestructible the buildings on it were not.

Yun Jhin moved a little bit closer to a building he thought it was the one that he needed to enter only for it to almost fall on his head and bury him in the rubble... he got annoyed as the building that he needed to find was made of the same material as the meteorite he was on so while he hid it by making it unassuming it was very though and it wouldn't have been destroyed... he could have easily found it if he had control of the formation but due to the formation hiding it very thoroughly he was having a harder time.

"This is quite bothersome... I wonder how did Yuan Fang find it in the first place."

On top of it being hard to find due to its looks, it also warped itself around so it wouldn't be easily found so Yun Jhin had quite a big problem trying to identify it.

"Ok so... it must be around here as I made it warp itself around the outer outskirts of the territory."

Suddenly Yun Jhin caught the building in his eyes, he recognized it and immediately teleported near its entrance and barged through, when he looked behind him he realized that the building already warped towards a different location... He continued inside the building as he got to the lower floors and reached the location of the formation core.

The formation core was the head of a strange bird with no beak and no eyes, its feathers were of a deep purple color and it had sharp horns that resembled those of an elk.

Yun Jhin got closer to it but when he reached a certain boundary the empty eye sockets of the thing started to flash a glaring light that attacked Yun Jhin!

Yun Jhin snorted as he easily deflected the light and destroyed it before getting closer to the head, its power was thoroughly exhausted after not being fed for such a long time so its attacks were pathetically weak.

Yun Jhin inserted two fingers inside the eye holes as he rebranded his soul willpower into the head using his ki and one strand of his soul while also removing Yuan Fang's soul willpower... the moment he made contact with it he realized that it was extremely weak and it couldn't give him any problems at this time.

After rebranding the formation core Yun Jhin could feel the ruins cheer as the true owner appeared once again.

Yun Jhin gave the formation some sentience so while it was forcefully being controlled by Yuan Fang it wasn't using its 100% power no matter how weakened it was, the last attack some time ago was Yuan Fang's last attempt at trying to defend the formation.

Yun Jhin disappeared from the location of the formation core as he teleported into the biggest palace where he had stashed some treasures, in the basement where the treasury was located Yun Jhin inserted his ki into a seal that he left behind in his former life only to find nothing besides a piece of paper which said:

"Explosion!!"

And the paper did explode while taking half of Yun Jhin's body with it... Yun Jhin's flesh and blood slowly reattached themselves to him as he regenerated while frowning, he didn't really like Yuan Fang's prank, the explosion wasn't very strong so it didn't injure him critically, it was only a 'surface' injury.

Did all of his treasuries have these notes in them?

Yun Jhin was really annoyed by this, he knew how it felt to be poor but that didn't mean he wanted to endure this, he really needed to make some money to 'hire' people to reconstruct his organization, and for him to get these people he needed capital.

If he had enough capital and made a good name in the universe talented people would naturally flock to him and he wouldn't have to do anything besides taking them in.

He tried to see if the other treasuries had the same booby traps in them and found out that it was indeed the same... which angered him quite a bit...

But then he sighed as he started to think of some ways to make money while also being low-key.

In this situation, he couldn't reveal himself yet as Yun Jhin so he had to make business under the name of an alias and he also needed some capital first to start his new business... as for how he would get it?

By plundering, of course, there was no way for Yun Jhin to waste his time by starting a trading company and get connections quickly so he needed to use his iron fist to make that happen. He could first start by harassing lower businesses with his high cultivation base and then take over other such 'protection' businesses. Of course, he would first have to make a highly detailed analysis of the businesses he had to bully, or else who knows what type of backer they would send after him?

The cultivation environment always had people who wanted to hug the stronger people's thighs for plenty of benefits.

Now Yun Jhin had to become that backer but the benefits they would receive would be their own but just cut as he would take away from them to satisfy his needs.

Yun Jhin wanted to take the soup the meat and half of the bones in this situation.

Now that he had a location where he could create his base of operations he just needed to find his first victim...

Since the blood throne sect's territory was near the grey market it was the best location for him to start. He would also be able to get an information network this way along with a better way to gain cultivation resources. It was certainly a smarter way of gaining wealth than normal plundering.

But at its base, it was the same thing. One needed an indisputable strength to have them!

If you were too weak to hold onto your business someone like Yun Jhin would come along and strip it away from you.

After making sure everything was ok with the formation Yun Jhin decided to visit the grey markets around the blood throne sect's territory.
