When Long Chen entered the primal chaos space, the dense law power instantly struck him. After devouring countless strong corpses, the law power in this space was identical to that of the Primal Chaos World, just denser and stronger.
Thanks to its nourishment, the Moon Trees and Fusang Trees had grown thicker. Their auras were greater than ever, and the runes etched on them carried a distinct divine charm.
Golden Crows and Jade Rabbits rested within their branches, deep in slumber.
The previous battle had exhausted all of their energy, but the influx of new energy made them undergo a metamorphosis.
High above, Lei Linger and Huo Linger coiled through the sky in the forms of two giant dragons. Bolts of lightning and flame intertwined around them. With every breath, they conjured rolling thunder and raging fire. That battle had been a baptism for them as well.
When Long Can had ignited the Brahma Divine Diagram, divine energy had flooded the battlefield. The two of them had absorbed a significant portion of it.
Huo Linger, in particular, had gained more than just divine energy. She had also absorbed the flame power released by Long Can.
With her unique comprehension of the Nirvana Scripture, she reaped the greatest benefit from the ignition of the Brahma Divine Diagram. Thanks to this, divine light now radiated from her body, and her aura was utterly transformed.
Long Chen looked at the Heavenly Dao Tree and the Seven Treasure Colored Glass Tree. They didn’t change much. But on top of the Heavenly Dao Tree, Zhi Zhi looked thicker than before. Its vines were covered in black lines, and the lines resembled scales with flashing runes inside them.
Long Chen felt a chill when he saw those runes. They looked like the grinning faces of fiendish devils.
In the previous battle, Long Chen had killed an incredible number of experts. Over a hundred thousand acquired Divine Sovereigns had been devoured by the black soil, and the energy contained within their essence runes was saturating the primal chaos space.
Long Chen could feel the primal chaos space pulsing, as though it were breathing.
The primal chaos space seemed to possess its own will. Yet, Long Chen could neither communicate with it nor directly use its power.
A thought crossed his mind. If he could truly command the power of the primal chaos space, perhaps he could even slay Lord Brahma.
As if responding to that thought, a strange pulse rippled through the primal chaos space.
“Primal chaos bead, how many secrets do you know?” Long Chen muttered. “I hope one day you can tell me what happened back then. If you can’t yet, it’s fine. I have enemies galore, so I’ll bring you plenty of fertilizer. You can tell me once you’re strong enough!”
Long Chen clenched his fists. He knew that as long as he continued feeding the primal chaos space, it would eventually be able to speak to him.
When that day came, all the riddles would be slowly undone.
Long Chen’s consciousness went into his spiritual space. The Heaven Flipping Seal floated there, with the Void Blood Python slumbering inside.
Even in deep sleep, the Void Blood Python emitted shocking spiritual fluctuations.
Turning his attention to Evilmoon, Long Chen saw a vast blood-colored blade pointed skyward. Countless petals revolved around it, forming a ring like a constellation.
Evilmoon had used up all of its energy. But now that it was in slumber, it seemed to have entered a strange state.
Long Chen felt like he was looking at a mirror. He saw himself as Evilmoon.
At this moment, his perception split. He could see himself from Evilmoon’s viewpoint, and his body became indistinguishable from the blade itself.
As the viewpoints switched back and forth, the boundary between self and weapon blurred until Long Chen no longer knew which was which.
Eventually, this mysterious state faded.
Long Chen was startled to realize that the three bloodlines he had only just recovered were completely drained once again.
“It seems that Evilmoon needs the power of my bloodlines to fully master its second form,” Long Chen muttered.
Evilmoon could not communicate in this state, but the sudden depletion of his bloodline power made the truth clear.
Then, Long Chen exited his spiritual space and consumed a medicinal pill, focusing on recovering his violet blood, Supreme Blood, and dragon blood.
Once they recovered to roughly seventy percent, he reentered his spiritual space.
The same mysterious state returned. And once again, his three bloodlines were drained dry.
He repeated this process over and over again. Recovering to seventy percent was the most efficient way, because the remaining portion took much longer to recover. It would take twice as long if he tried to fully recover.
After ten cycles, Evilmoon stopped absorbing Long Chen’s bloodline powers. It had taken enough energy. All that was left was for it to awaken on its own.
Long Chen exited his spiritual space and took a deep breath. Letting Evilmoon consume his bloodline energy was exhausting. Even his soul itself felt worn down.
By his estimate, half a month had already passed.
Long Chen quickly checked on the Tiger Venerate line.
The moment he came out of seclusion, he smelled blood in the air and frowned.
Bai Yujing was alarmed when she saw Long Chen’s pale and weary face.
“Long Chen, you’re finally out of seclusion? Are you alright?!” she asked.
“I’m fine,” Long Chen replied. “Did something happen here? Is it Lord Brahma?”
Bai Yujing smiled slightly. “It’s not him. Just some small fries who thought they could take advantage of us after hearing we fought a massive battle. We killed them all. The outside world still doesn’t know what’s really happening here, so more fools keep coming.”
As she spoke, the void in the distance collapsed. An enormous spear smashed into a group of experts attempting to spy on them. Ice and flame energy erupted, wiping them out instantly.
This was the work of Youlan and Qingwu. Amongst that group was an acquired Divine Sovereign, but even he was slain in one blow.
A shadow flashed. Long Chen saw someone snatch the fallen expert’s weapon before vanishing.
It was Xu Changchuan.
Seeing this, Long Chen didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. The smoothness of his movements made it clear—this fellow was getting addicted to getting rich quickly.
After cleaning up the battlefield, the three of them vanished. They hid in the void, waiting for more prey to arrive.
“Long Chen, the Tiger Venerate Scepter has enough energy to activate the Divine Tiger Altar now. But you’ll need to do it yourself,” said Bai Yujing.
She formed a one-handed seal, summoning the Tiger Venerate Scepter in front of Long Chen.
