They looked at each other nervously.

Miao Yin was going to call out for her mole, but Long Chen gave her a look that stopped her in her tracks. The fact that she was able to plant one of her people here was proof of her ability. If the academy couldn’t find that person, that was proof that they were lacking. They had to remain vigilant at all times, so knowing that one or more among them were loyal to someone else would force them to stay sharp.

Miao Yin continued, “According to my information, those disciples were considered mediocre by their forces’ standards. To put it simply… they were nothing but cabbages. They were just a waste of their sects’ resources. Their higher-ups estimated that at least half of them would die in this battle, and the remainder would be decent enough to warrant some investment. To put it frankly, they viewed this fight over karmic luck as a trial for their worst disciples. So… how about that? Now that you know this, are you still pleased with your results?”

Everyone was rendered speechless. Huge waves raged in their hearts. They were the top elites of the first academy. A group of second-rate disciples had been sent to kill them? Never in their life had they experienced something so utterly humiliating.

The copies then vanished. Long Chen announced, “Your current power and abilities have been copied. In three days, you will be tested against ten of your copies. If you cannot beat ten copies at once, you will be expelled from the first academy. This is a hard rule.”

Long Chen waved his hand, and the scene in front of everyone changed. Suddenly, the sounds of slaughter shook their ears. They were shocked to discover that the enemies they had just killed had returned, crashing upon them like a ferocious tide.
