Shi Yu and Wu Ya both stared each other down. But this only lasted a few seconds before Shi Yu shot out and attacked Wu Ya. When Wu Ya saw Shi Yu attack, she gritted her teeth as she readied her metal whip and lashed out.
"Humph! You need to do better! Cloud Step!" Shi Yu's body suddenly swayed as she lightly stepped on air and leaped over the incoming whip. She did so at an angle that made retaliation almost impossible. As her body rose, she twisted it and slashed out with her sword causing a ray of sword qi to shoot out. Wu Ya's face instantly turned pale as she saw the ray shooting towards her. "You know sword intent to this extent!?"
Wu Ya panicked and quickly snapped her whip back and encircled her body with it to block the attack. She never expected someone of the qi condensation realm to be able to utilize the second stage of sword intent, release. She might be in the same realm, but the skills and techniques for this realm were weak compared to that of the higher realm, and the first stage of sword intent alone was enough to strike fear into anyone's hearts in the qi condensation realm and lower as it would make the ones who learn it monsters in their own right.
"Junior Sister Shi still amazes me with how powerful she is. She learned sword intent when she was in the qi gathering realm. But she has been practicing with the sword since she was old enough to walk and understand that only the strong could become someone in this world." Yi Tan said with a little bit of envy. While he was able to cultivate to this point, he still had not been able to obtain much of anything in terms of techniques, whereas Shi Yu had learned sword intent at such an early stage in her cultivation.
"Senior Brother Yi, you are just as amazing." Mei Ling said with a nod of her head. Her cute little smile would warm anyone's heart. Yi Tan looked at her and smiled as he reached out and rubbed her head. The group was like a real family of sisters and brothers. But he knew one day each one of them would need to go their separate ways as they did with their real families.
Kana watched the interactions between the group and smiled. It reminded her of her own family and made her miss them even more. She decided once she gets out of this world, she would make sure to pat Bell's head.
As Kana was lost in thought, a yell came from behind them. "You bastards!" Along with this yell came the shattering of a sword. Kana reached up and rubbed her head before turning around and looking at the young man who was around sixteen years of age. "Did you just try to stick your sword up my butt!?"
Everyone looked at Kana, who was dusting sword shards off the top of her head and all thought the same thing. 'How was that even close to your butt!?' But before they could even react to the situation, Kana grabbed the young man and began slapping him over and over in the face. "How dare you try to do something so perverted!"
Wu Tai, who was being slapped in the face without any restraint causing his head to spin. He could sense no spiritual qi from the girl in front of him, but yet she possessed such great strength. It was then during the slaps that he finally realized the one he targeted was actually not human! Fear filled his heart as he kicked out with his leg escaping Kana's grasp. With red cheeks that were slightly swollen, his gaze fell on Kana, looking at her with great caution.
Kana was actually stunned. She never thought the young man could so easily escape her grasp. He only needed to kick her with a bit of strength to make her retreat a few steps. But this also excited her because this meant that cultivators were indeed strong. At least this was what Kana thought, not realizing that she was only able to do what she just did with her current strength because she was a dragon. Anyone else would have died from that attack just now. Kana's powers were restricted, but her defense and strength as a dragon were still there to a point. She was no stronger physically than a qi gathering cultivator, and her defenses were only at the peak of the same level. If Wu Tai had used a technique when striking just now, the chances of Kana getting injured would have been higher. But he did not seem to think before attacking. Now, if Kana also had spiritual qi, the situation would be much different.
"Tai! Get back!" Another voice came from the side. This time it was a young man of twenty years of age. He was the oldest of the demonic cultivators' Wu Ming.
Wu Tai's eyes lit up seeing his older brother. He quickly ran to his side. The fight between Shi Yu and Wu Ya was about to come to a close at this time, with Shi Yu about to give the final strike when Wu Ming Showed up. Wu Ming looked over at his sister, who was about to get defeated, and gritted his teeth. "You dare!?"
He never thought a day like this would come. He took out his sword and cut open his hand. He then waved his hand, sending out a spray of droplets before making a few hand seals: "Blood Puppet!"
Infusing the droplets of blood with his spiritual qi, the droplets expanded, creating five bloody clones of Wu Ming. He looked at Kana and the group and snorted: "Release my sister now! Otherwise, you will all die here today."
Yi Tan let out a light laugh as he readied his sword. "Junior Sister Shi, kill her."
"On it!" At Yi Tan's command, Shi Yu did not hesitate to stab her sword through Wu Ya's neck, effectively taking her life. Wu Ya didn't even have time to say a word. Only the look of reluctance and unwillingness filled her eyes as she died.
Witnessing such a scene, Wu Ming's eyes turned red with rage as he waved his hand: "Kill them! Kill them!"
