Kana and Lysairth walked towards a small restaurant not far from the store. They were happily talking to one another. The wall that was once between them had broken down some, and now they truly looked like a mother and daughter. Ceilie and Lysairth's maid both smiled at this, but that smile did not last long when a few burly men came walking towards them. They stopped in front of Lysairth with eyes full of lust as they scanned her body up and down. Lysairth frowned and pulled Kana behind her. "Who are you, and what do you want?"

"You must be Mrs. Williams. You truly are a looker. Too bad you messed with someone who is very petty and seeks revenge for the littlest wrongdoings. Now then, you two and…" The burly man in the front took a look at the two maids behind Lysairth and Kana and grinned as he licked his lips. "As a bonus, you two girls as well."

"No…" A small voice came from behind Lysairth. Drawing the attention of the burly man. He looked to see a young girl that looked highly malnourished. But the look in her eyes did not seem right. They were filled with a cold, murderous intent.

Even Kana was surprised by her anger. But she felt these men were no different than those she had seen in the back alleys all these years. They would say things along the same line and then drag the girls off to do unspeakable things. She hated men like this very much. This did not mean she hated all men, just ones who acted like the people in front of her now.

"Little girl, I do not like the look in your eye. If you do not want to be beaten, just behave and deal with what is to come. Maybe you can keep your little life." The burly man in the front said in a low, threatening voice. He felt like this little girl was about to do something drastic.

"Kana!" Lysairth tried to pull Kana back behind her, but Kana refused to budge. She was not willing to see her new mother fall into the hands of such despicable people. She shrugged Lysairth's arm off and stepped forward. Tears were gathered in her eyes, but she did not care. She would protect her new mother even if it meant getting dragged away alone. What she said next stunned everyone who was watching.

"Take me if you want, but please leave my Mama alone! She is such a kind and caring person. She took me in and treated me as family, me a beggar off the streets. I don't care what happens to me, I won't complain, but please… Please leave my mother alone!" She didn't care. She truly did not care. As long as Lysairth was okay, she was willing to suffer. She had only met Lysairth for one day, but the kindness and warmth she received was something she will never forget and could never repay. If her little life could keep her new mother from suffering, she was willing to face any treatment no matter what it was.

Ceilie and Lysairth's maid were both stunned by such a declaration. This little girl was willing to sacrifice herself to keep her mother safe… The two couldn't keep the tears from welling up in her eyes. They knew now that they had no choice but to step forward. They only planned to move if the men made a move, but now they decided to make the first move. But before they could, a cold melodic voice was heard from behind them.

"Well said! You have a lot of courage." Everyone turned towards the new voice. Kana's eyes opened wide when she saw the handsome young man. He was no more than fifteen at best, but even then, he was still handsome enough to even make older women blush just by looking at him. She couldn't take her eyes off the young man. She had never cared for what she looked like before now, she suddenly felt embarrassed because she was so skinny and looked so young even though she was twelve. Her little cheeks blushed as she looked down, not daring to meet his eyes. She felt if she did, she would be lost in his eyes to the point that she felt her whole soul would belong to him if she did not avert them soon.

The young man smiled at the little girl before walking forward and standing in front of her. He was truly impressed with the little girl's bravery. He turned and patted her on the head like he was patting a small child before turning around. The smile that was on his face disappeared. His ice cold gaze fell onto the burly man in the front as he said: "You need to turn around and leave now, or you will end up not being able to walk again."

"Brat, are you trying to play the hero? First, it's a little girl now a young boy? Do you see all the people watching this? None of them dare to make a move but you stinking brats who have no idea how high the heavens are. Even if the police were here now, they wouldn't dare say a word. In fact, they would probably order the girls to come with us. But I am not a heartless person. As you are not my target, I will give you a choice. Leave now and live or I will kill you and then drag the girls away."

"Oh? You will kill me? I'm sorry to say you and your people are not enough to even touch a hair on my head." The young man said before rushing forward and kicking the burly man in the face. No one had expected the young man to make a move and so quickly at that. Before they realized it, he had already beaten down all the men that were there. He then turned and looked at Kana and the others and smiled. "Your girls should get going. I will clean up here."

"Thank you... But... Umm…" Kana spoke up. She had no idea who the young man was and wanted to give him her thanks. "Your name…"

The young man who had just turned around to go do what he said. He had only taken a step forward when he heard Kana. He turned his head and smiled at the little girl: "It's Creige. Go.. Take your mother and your maids out of here before their back up arrives."
