This step is crucial for Sasukes future strength and the eventual awakening of the Rinnegan. Without unlocking the Mangekyo Sharingan, Sasukes potential achievements would be limited.

To ensure that Sasuke progresses as needed, Fugaku will be kept alive and used as a tool to occasionally stimulate Sasuke. These stimuli will drive Sasuke to pursue strength and ultimately unlock the Mangekyo Sharingan in the future.
