Qin Hua looked around and at first glance, there seemed to be no monsters around but Su Yan all of a sudden ran deeper into the forest, rushing to one of the trees.
Qin Hua also quickly chased after him, running behind him when she saw him fighting against a huge tree like monster.
It looked as if a tree had come alive and had grown teeth and eyes.
[Inspect] Qin Hua barked.
<Ding. Evergreen Treant; Level 34>

"Heh. These things are weak." Su Yan muttered and cut down a few.
[Oh no, you don't!]
Seeing that he was starting to take all the kills for himself, Qin Hua picked up the pace and started her engines as well.
Just as Su Yan had mentioned, the treants were not that difficult to take down. She used her paws swirling with dark energy to quickly bring down a few.

But after finishing a few, Qin Hua stopped and looked at Lu Chen who was also easily taking down the creatures.
"We should let others fight these guys'
Qin Hua scribbled on the ground. Lu Chen nodded, quickly agreeing with her because that was a great suggestion.
Qin Hua used her paw to point at the other monster who was slaughtering a lot of treants. Lu Chen immediately understood what she was trying to tell.
"Ah. Alright. I will talk to him." Lu Chen walked over Su Yan and told him to stop. Alex and Guan Ye as well stopped, letting the others practice their combat skills.
Meanwhile, Qin Hua busied herself with extracting mana cores from the treants. These creatures had their mana cores stuffed deep in their trunk near the root.
Qin Hua sliced them and grabbed the core from all the dead bodies piling up.
Unlike the others, these creatures were not exactly edible but she nevertheless stored the wood as they were chalked full of mana from top to bottom.
She didn't know if they would be of any use.
She could only guess that they might have some use in making some medicinal potions or maybe even melting some metals using these as firewood.
She didn't think about it too much and stored it all away.
Slowly the experience points and the wood started piling up.
The fight against the treants did not take long and after clearing the many acres of monsters patiently, the group came to a stop in front of a ravine.
On the other side of the ravine, the tree creatures were no longer to be found. Instead, huge rock giants appeared that seemed to have a colossal strength and slow speed.
These were proving to be slightly more difficult to handle compared to the treants.
The rock giants' bodies were huge and sturdy and it almost felt like banging their weapons on an immovable mountain.
Nevertheless, with Qin Hua, Alex, and Lu Chen giving back from a distance, the rest of the members of the group were easily able to take them down as well.
Slowly and slowly, their healths were also chipped away and the monsters dropped down one after the other.
Compared to the last time, when the spatial rift was an utter disaster, this time things proceeded a lot more easily.
Everyone hunted with more vigor and energy as well as they slowly became used to the myriad creatures that kept popping up in this new world.
They took their time, had sufficient breaks in between, and kept consistently pushing forward.
"Not bad." Su Yan lazily watched from a distance. He didn't bother hanging around close by or helping anyone if they suddenly experienced a sticky situation.
He was just calmly enjoying the show.
Lu Chen noticed this but what could he say. He just let his friend be, only hoping that things would change with time.
He was very decisive in all other matters but when it came to Su Yan, he was helpless.
Qin Hua, on the other hand, was having a field day. She sprinted around the hunting field, dashing from one end to the other at high speed.
However, just like Su Yan, she was also not helping anyone with their fight. This was after all their training and they needed to learn things the hard way.
Instead, she was amassing every single mana core, she could lay her eyes on. Both the treants and the rock giants had upgraded her affinity with the earth element tremendously.
And there were so many of them!
At this rate, she would even be able to get it to the level of her shadow element.
Qin Hua licked her lips and looted all the rock giant cores, leaving 50% for the others. Of course, she wouldn't cheat her group.
She would later on repay them with other affinity less cores.
But this was not the only thing. As these rock giants dropped down one after the other, Qin Hua noticed that their bodies had different compositions in different places.
For instance, near their mana cores which were typically at the center of their body, they seem to be made of some other type of mineral ore.
She used her paws to cut through these rocks and extracted these special minerals.
[Inspect]
<Ding. Mythril Ore>
[Inspect]
<Ding. Thorium ore>
Just like the firewood, she didn't have any specific use for these mineral ores at the moment but only a fool would leave these behind.
So she quickly got down to business and tended to each rock giant as it fell down dead.
And she even got a new notification because of it.
<Ding. You have learned the skill Mining>
Qin Hua licked her lips in delight. She personally jumped from one monster to another and stripped it down from top to bottom without leaving a single one behind.
From the distance, both Su Yan's and Lu Chen's eyes trailed after her, one watching her in amusement while the other watching her back, making sure that she didn't get any surprise attacks.
