Eisen took a deep breath as he stepped out of one of the divine gates with exhaustion practically written all over his body due to all the things that he's had to do over the last while.
"Perfect, now you only have two more divine realms left to go through, don't you?" Ambriel asked, seemingly quite happy to be able to get rid of Eisen quite soon. Over the past few days in particular, ever since Eisen stepped into the divine realm of the god of comfort, since he thought the tasks should be relatively easy, Ambriel's initial opinion of Eisen had declined to the deepest level as it could possibly be.
After all, all that Eisen had to do back then was care for people. Literally hand-feed them, massage them, and clean up after them. It was annoying, but it was over pretty quickly mostly because people were incredibly lazy there and didn't want to deal with Eisen being so hectic around them.
And just like that, Eisen had the chance to pretty quickly get one more god's acknowledgement while also learning about why exactly this 'God of Comfort' changed so many major things about the world. And in the end, it boiled down to Samuel interfering and giving this god more power so that he could change the world to be a bit more game-like.
People didn't really want to deal with things like getting dirty of defecating, after all. It seemed a bit unnatural to Eisen, but this god of comfort was obviously quite special to begin with. And that was because he wasn't really a normal god to begin with. In the end, it seemed to be something like a golem, or even a Guardian of sorts. Something literally created from the grounds-up so that Samuel had something to control however he wished. It annoyed him, but at the end of the day, it didn't matter much to the old man as long as all of what he did counted toward his quest to be acknowledged by the gods.
And now, after getting through a good number of divine realms, Eisen had just two more left that he had to make his way through, two that he chose for his own convenience. And the second to last one would be the realm of Mystor, the god of truth. Considering what sort of deal he made with one of Mystor's angels, he thought it would be a good idea to meet Mystor himself.
And so, the old man stepped through the gate of that divine realm, and the moment that he did, a notification appeared in front of the old man's eyes. It was different to what happened in the other realms. Usually he had to first interact with others to figure out what his quest was supposed to really be, but instead, the task was being delivered in a slightly different way. And to begin with, it was one that was simply incredibly different to all the other tasks from the ground up.
For those tasks, Eisen always needed to interact with the souls of the divine realms. But this time, that was different.
[New Quest – Mystor's Acknowledgement]
[Description] You are seeking to be acknowledged by the gods of heaven and made your way into the realm of the God of Truth, Mystor. You have to prove that you cannot be deceived by false truths. Mystor is hiding somewhere within his divine realm and hid plenty of clues, a majority which are distractions.
[Condition] Find Mystor's Location amongst the souls of his divine realm within 24 Hours
[Reward] Mystor's Acknowledgement
[Penalty] Mystor will not acknowledge you, and you will lose the right to try again for 1 Year
Eisen looked at the quest-information with a smile on his face, before crossing his arms smugly, "Is that all I have to do?" The old man asked with a smirk. Although, it seemed like Ambriel was already aware of what the trial for Mystor's Acknowledgement was supposed to be. With a smirk from themselves, they looked straight at Eisen.
"Are you sure you aren't being a bit too cocky here?" The Angel inquired, and Eisen slowly turned toward them before Ambriel continued, "Mystor is capable of controlling truths to the fullest extent possible. He can express them perfectly, or he can twist them around. Anything he speaks automatically becomes the truth. Mystor is truly one of the most powerful gods. That mere ascended deity that is your son is nothing against him."
Eisen turned around with a deep glare. He was already aware that Ambriel was a piece of shit, but hearing this kind of thing was still more than just annoying in any possible situation. The old man sighed deeply, "Are you an idiot? The world doesn't change according to Mystor's words. Mystor just doesn't say anything false because he knows close to everything there is to know." The old man pointed out as he slowly waved his hand to the side and caused his item storage to appear in front of him.
Ambriel didn't seem quite happy with this old man's words, but at that point, Eisen already tuned out everything that he could be trying to say. Instead, Eisen stepped into the space within his item storage and stepped over toward one of the shelves. Without hesitation, Eisen pulled back one of the boxes inside of it and quickly grabbed a few of the metal cubes inside of it.
And together with those cubes, Eisen grabbed a small pen-sized stick before walking back out of his item storage and making it disappear immediately.
First, Eisen placed a few of the cubes onto the ground next to each other before pushing his mana into the pen-sized crystal stick. He pointed it directly at all of the cubes, which then proceeded to fold open and create small gates into a sub-space created with spatial gems.
And out of those sub-spaces came a flood of CR-Units. That was of course, the Camera-Rat units, the land-based surveilance creatures that the old man created quite a while ago already.
They flooded out toward the town in the distance, observing everything there in as much detail as possible. Of course, at the same time, they used the mana-copy abilities to really convey every little bit to the old man.
And that wasn't all, because then, Eisen threw some of the other metal cubes into the air and activated them in the same way as these others, and they stopped mid-air, creating similar small gates as the other ones. But instead of the CR-Units, out came the CB-Units, the Camera-Bats. They stayed in the air until Eisen handed some of them the rest of the cubes and then sent them off.
Because soon, within the actual town, the CB's would release all of the CF, Camera-Fish, units inside of the small rivers that were flowing through it.
And just like that, the old man was able to basically immediately figure out the scape of the whole town, and with his visualization he quickly displayed everything in front of him and watched as the miniature town grew in front of him while Ambriel still looked at the small gates with confusion.
"B-But that's cheat-"
"Cheating? Seriously? Shut it, there's literally the fate of two worlds at stake here. I'm making use of my full capabilities, there's nothing wrong with it." The old man grumbled in response. While he didn't necessarily want to acknowledge the angel's antics, Eisen figured out that it would only get worse if he did actually end up ignoring them. So instead, Eisen would usually passive-aggressively, or simply aggressively, respond to Ambriel to try and shut him up and usually managed to do so pretty easily.
Either way, soon, Eisen had a pretty extensive map of the whole town and even managed to figure out something like a first clue quite quickly already. He activated his demonic transformation and quickly flew over toward the place that the camera-units found.
There wasn't actually anything all to special about it, it was just one of the few places that reacted to Eisen's truth-sight, meening that it's true form had been altered to something else. And one of the camera-bats was able to see through that fake exterior.
The old man landed right in front of the place in question, although right now, it seemed to just be a simple brick-wall in the middle of an alley. It wasn't anything special, at least that's what one would think at first sight. But Eisen quickly activated his truth-sight, and saw that instead of just a complete wall, there was a wooden door placed into the center.
With a smile on his face, Eisen extended his hand toward the handle and soon felt it hit something that wasn't supposed to be there. He pushed the handle down and pushed the door inward, before parts of the wall quite literally crumbled away as the wall opened up. And beyond it was nothing but a pitch-black space, which seemed too suspicious to not be the next place that Eisen was supposed to go. And even if it was just a red herring, Eisen still had time to figure things out.
And so, the old man stepped through the door after deactivating his transformation, still keeping on his truth-seeing eyes nontheless, and quickly started to look around. Through the mana everywhere, Eisen was able to see here in the dark even though he usually wouldn't even be able to see his own hand if he pressed it up to his face.
But right now, what Eisen was able to see was a simple, straightforward space. It was just the interior of a regular room. A desk, a closet... Some shelves. Even a couch. Lots of clutter was placed everywhere in here.
And once Ambriel stepped into the room behind Eisen, the door slammed shut loudly.
The old man turned around immediately as suddenly a number of glowing red letters appeared right above the door. It started with a 60, but then counted down to 59 immediately after. Eisen already had a pretty good guess at what this was supposed to be, considering a certain concept that Raziel had been incredibly curious about before when Eisen revealed a lot of different information about the other world to her.
But to confirm his suspicions, Eisen took a look around, while it was still this dark, and soon found a plate on the wall that Eisen quickly pushed his mana into, as he recognized that it was supposed to create light. And once the place was lit-up properly, he looked at the pieces of paper that were laying around, and then just squatted down with a loud groan.
"Seriously? The task is a damn Escape-Room?"
