At that moment, Emperor Slayer was the center of everyone’s attention.
Countless eyes watched as that finger caused the void to warp as it traced out a growing arc. Light gathered quickly and formed a vast flow that resembled a star. Suddenly, it all collapsed into a blade of energy that stabbed at the giant droplet.
The blade struck the droplet, and countless eyes stared on in disbelief as the droplet was pierced through. The blade shot straight through the droplet, stabbing across to the other side.
There was a thunderous boom as the enormous droplet exploded. The blast swept out to the sides, cleaving the universe in two.
Above the tear, ripples spread out from the blade.
It was a scene that could be seen even from outside the Tianyuan.
Lu Yin was the one who saw these events play out the most clearly.
Through the Heavenly Karmic Macrocosm, he stared at the Tianyuan in a daze. He could no longer see the battlefield. The explosion of the droplet had split the universe in two, with the battlefield down below and the sky up above.

“You’ve been watching. How could you not know? Lord Lu, if that attack was made by that Immortal bug, there’s no need for us to continue on. We should hurry back to the Nine Odysseys Megaverse. We might still be able to help defend that megaverse.”
“I just said that it wasn’t. The Tianyuan is still safe.”

“Why else do you think I’d be so calm?”
Master Qing Cao studied Lu Yin for a moment before letting out a breath and sitting back down in a cross-legged position. “I hope that you’re right. Do not be impulsive. The survival of the entire human civilization can hang on a single thought.”

He slowly lowered his arm and then lifted his head to look out across the stars at an angle while muttering, “So you still managed to force it out of me.”
The droplet creature was on edge. So it really is him. This is the human Immortal. That karmic barrier was his.

Shan Xiao and the others grew warier. The insects in the swarm that surrounded them grew restless, but none of the bugs moved.
Silence returned to the universe.
“You are not human, are you? So why do you protect this civilization?” the droplet creature asked.
Emperor Slayer sighed. “Does it matter if I am human or not? Do such things have any meaning for us?”
The Immortal fell silent again.
“You broke through to the Immortal realm only recently, didn’t you?”
The droplet creature was startled. “How do you know?”
Emperor Slayer sneered. How do I know? I don’t.
Still, he had known that there was nothing wrong with saying those words. “Recent” was something that all depended on one’s perspective. The Immortal bug was looking at Emperor Slayer as though he was unfathomable, which meant that, in comparison to such an expert, the bug’s breakthrough could have only been recent. “You have not yet seen the cosmos clearly.”
The Immortal’s antennae twitched as it stared at the beast. “Since civilizations hold no meaning to you, why not abandon humanity and join our civilization? Ours is far stronger.”
Emperor Slayer reacted with a booming laugh. “They are all the same in my eyes! Enough with this nonsense. Leave. This megaverse is under my protection.”
Evident displeasure entered the droplet creature’s voice. “Even as a fellow Immortal, you may not be capable of driving me away.”
Emperor Slayer raised a brow. “Do you want to try?”
He raised his right hand and pointed his index finger at the bug.
The creature instinctively shifted to the side. The energy blade had clearly been released from that finger, destroying the massive droplet and shattering its own power. When that finger was pointed directly at the Immortal bug, it could not help but feel fear.
Emperor Slayer sneered. “Not going to try?”
The bug continued to stare at him. “Since you insist on protecting this megaverse, we will show you face and withdraw.”
Emperor Slayer suppressed the joy in his eyes and revealed only cold indifference. “That’s better.”
The bug continued to stare intensely at the beast. “However, there is one question that I would like to ask, as a favor.”
“Oh? Tell me.”
“When you released that attack earlier, you seemed to say something. Could you repeat it?”
Emperor Slayer’s eyes twitched. Damn it!
When he attacked, the only thing on his mind had been success or death, and he had just randomly blurted something out. He had never expected the attack to be so powerful that it would actually shatter an Immortal’s attack. Now, thinking back… what exactly did I say?
