Chapter 4190: Overwhelming Silver

Greater Sancte Awe Gate, Kang Tian, and Lu Yin all watched as the final cauldron rammed into the silver coffin. Truthfully, the other eight had already done enough damage. The silver coffin had essentially been shattered, but the last cauldron still fell nonetheless. The nine cauldrons represented the will of the megaverse and its people who had been slain by the Hui-Silver Sky Army. The ninth cauldron had to fall; it deserved to fall.

Boom!

The final cauldron struck with a deafening crash, shattering the silver coffin as Lu Yin and the others watched on in amazement. The cauldron continued on to smash into Huis body.

The silver body was torn apart. The nine cauldrons shot through the void, merging back into one.

Attack! Greater Sancte Awe Gate shouted sharply as she thrust Awecloud forward, using Cloud Manifest.

Kang Tian flung out a spatial mire.

Lu Yin emerged from the red coffin, Aberrant in his hand as he struck.

Blow after blow landed on Hui. Their body kept shrinking, the silver being was ground down until only a silver liquid remained. They were unable to utter a sound. There was just a pool of silver fluid spreading across outer space.

No matter how Lu Yin and the others attacked, the silver liquid only kept shrinking.

Finally, the cauldron shot upward, only to drop back down, pressing into the silver liquid.

Suppressed beneath the cauldron, the silver liquid nearly lost all of its color, turning grey.

Lu Yin quickly released his Champions' Stage Purgatory. Master, let it enter.

Greater Sancte Awe Gate flicked the tip of his her spear, flinging the silver liquid towards the Champions' Stage Purgatory.

Nearby, Mister Mu used Origin Tracer to lock the space around the liquid, and outside of that lay a spatial mire. Even at their peak, Hui would have to struggle to break through such a trap, let alone in their current state.

There were no complications as Hui was forced into the Champions' Stage Purgatory. Lu Yin eagerly awaited to see an increase in his karma, but even after a moment, there was still no reaction from his Karmic Dao.

How was that possible?

Every living creature had karma, even ordinary people. How could there not be even the slightest increase?

Given Huis weakened state, they were absolutely unable to resist the karmic cycle of the Champions' Stage Purgatory.

Unless

That isnt Hui. Lu Yins expression changed as he looked around. Everyone else did the same. Hui had escaped? When?

Lu Yins mind raced. Hui had indeed escaped, or else Lu Yins karma would not have remained unchanged. But when had Hui done it? It could not have been before they entered the silver coffin. Hui had possessed far too much confidence in Obscuras methods and had not believed that anyone could break the silver coffin. If they had tried to use the coffin as a distraction while escaping on their own, the risk would have been much greater. That meant that Hui had to have escaped after the silver coffin was shattered.

Everyone split up to search the megaverse, hoping to find Hui.

However, since the silver being had escaped from right under their noses, it was impossible to find them quickly and easily.

Mister Mu stared out across the universe and used Origin Tracer.

The greatest use of Origin Tracer was not to lock space with time in a defensive manner, but rather to search. Anything that had once appeared within the River of Aeons could be found.

The only question was whether this megaverse still had its branch stream of the River of Aeons.

If that branch no longer existed, then no matter how powerful Mister Mu might have become, he would not be able to search the past by using the main stream of the River of Aeons.

Origin Tracer failed to locate anything. The megaverses branch of River of Aeons no longer existed.

It had likely returned to the main stream.

Lightstream flickered around Lu Yin as he peered into the past, but Lightstream could only affect a small area.

Had they really let Hui escape?

Mister Mu raised a hand, and the cauldron reappeared. He spoke to it slowly. As long as that creature remains in this megaverse, Hui cannot escape. Old friend, let them see what a mirebound artifact truly is.

As soon as the man finished speaking, the cauldron suddenly spun. In an instant, a phantom form of the cauldron expanded to encompass the entire megaverse.

Was it merging with the will of the megaverse?

Lu Yin stared upward.

Before his thoughts could process any further, the cauldron abruptly stopped spinning, and everything in the universe froze in place. Time, space, and even matter invisible to the naked eye stopped.

It was not only the cauldron. Mister Mu was also invoking the cosmic law that he resonated with: Dominion.

By fusing Dominion into the cauldron, the cauldron became an artifact of Dominion. Dominion, in turn, aligned with the cosmos itself.

Huis silver world had once replaced the megaverse, and after that, karma had done the same. At this moment, the cauldron suppressed the entire megaverse, stopping all movement in its universes. Everything beneath the cauldrons influence froze as it entered Mister Mus line of sight.

He suddenly shattered the void with a palm, looking as if he toying with the megaverse as he pulled out all of its sequence strings. He peered through one parallel universe after another until one was chosen. He peered into a corner of it and raised a hand: Origin Tracer.

Lu Yin instantly teleported over, arriving in that location even before Origin Tracer. There was a nearly imperceptible speck of silver light that had merged with a grain of sand on a single planet. The moment that Lu Yin appeared, that silver tried to tear through the void and flee, but it was already too late.

Human, you cannot kill me, Hui growled.

Lu Yin swung his scythe down. Using Extremes Must Be Reversed, both Activeness and Stillness converged in a single strike.

Hui was horrified. What is this? Just how much power has this human kept hidden?

Human, you cannot kill me, you-

The scythe slashed down, cleaving the silver in two. Around the severed halves, the Champions Stage Purgatory descended, sealing them within its hellish domain.

Lu Yin still refused to stop. He intended to use Hui to further expand his Karmic Dao. The silver being had lived for far too long, and in the past had even accepted a mission to annihilate a human civilization. Later, a similar task had been carried out by Qi Xu instead, though for reasons unknown.

Hui had to possess a vast and terrifying amount of karma.

And yet the bisected silver did not die. Instead, they fled in two different directions, escaping from the Champions' Stage Purgatory.

Lu Yin quickly tried to capture them, but the silver vanished in an instant.

There was no need for Hui to tear through the void, as they could simply merge into the void and escape to a parallel universe.

Mister Mu pulled over another universe and struck at a location with Origin Tracer. Lu Yin again found Hui and once more tried to shatter the silver speck and trap it in his Champions' Stage Purgatory. However, there was still no increase in his karma.

The real Hui had still managed to escape.

After several more failed attempts, Lu Yin had no choice but to stoptrying to increase his karma. Kill it.

He was afraid that, if things dragged out any longer, something unexpected would happen.

Gates appeared, blocking every direction.

Kang Tian threw out spatial mires without pause. With a bit of luck, they would be able to slow Hui and restrict their movements.

Lu Yin swung the scythe down again and again, relentlessly cutting the silver speck apart.

From the first tiny speck of silver light that he had found, it was whittled down until not even one percent of the original speck remained. Even then, Lu Yin kept going.

Human, I will help you! I am the only one in Obscura who can.

Do not kill me, human!

I was wrong. I dont want to die! Human, release me!

There was a roar as Lifeforce surged out. The silver was releasing its final burst, and light spread out like a thin veil. It was a manifestation of the cosmic law that the Immortal had resonated with.

Hui was dead.

Any time an Immortal died, there would always be a corresponding phenomenon. The same thing had happened when the droplet-shaped Verdant Sage died, and Lu Yin saw another one with Huis death.

The silver creature was finally dead.

Everyone stopped moving and stared blankly as they gasped for breath.

The battle had been an extremely difficult one. Without Mister Mus breakthrough and the mirebound artifact that he had summoned, it would have been impossible for them to kill Hui.

A single mistake might have gotten them killed.

The question of whether they or Hui would survive had truly been decided in an instant.

Mister Mu watched as the silver faded away with a complicated expression. Scene after scene of the past played out in his mind. It was still the same megaverse. Before, he had fled. Now, he had gotten revenge.

Everyone remained silent as they stared out across the universe.

They had to admit, the dim silver light was actually rather beautiful.

Suddenly, a line flashed by, and Lu Yin vanished. He reappeared in front of the line, trying to grab it. It changed directions, seemingly with a will of its own. It fled again, only for Lu Yin to teleport after it again. It could actually move even faster than Hui.

Lu Yin was only able to keep up with the silver line by teleporting after it.

Greater Sancte Awe Gate and the others watched in a daze as Lu Yin repeatedly disappeared and reappeared. They were unable to see the silver line. Previously, they had only been able to see it because of Huis actions. Without that creature, the silver line was completely invisible to them.

Ultimately, the line could not escape and was seized by Lu Yin. It twisted and writhed about in his grasp.

He gave a satisfied smile. Since I can teleport, wouldnt it be ridiculous if you escaped?

He released his inner universe as he held the silver line and moved towards the star of divine energy.

Both belonged to Obscura, but what was the difference between the silver and the red lines? He was quite curious to find out.

As the silver line approached the star of divine energy, the red line within the star flashed out. The silver line suddenly increased its struggle, and Lu Yin released his grip. The silver line shot towards the star, and to Lu Yin's astonishment, started weaving through the divine energy together with the red line.

Had it found a new home?

The next moment, the star of divine energy abruptly swelled. Lu Yin's expression changed, and his eyes turned scarlet as divine energy erupted from his body. He involuntarily underwent a divine energy transformation, releasing endless bloodlust into his surroundings. The energy eroded his mind. It felt exactly like when he had first undergone this transformation

When the red line merged with the star of divine energy, he had felt the same sensation, and he had only barely managed to suppress it.

This time, Lu Yin felt like it was almost beyond his abilities to restrain the energy.

Nearby, Mister Mu, Greater Sancte Awe Gate, and Kang Tian observed Lu Yin's divine energy transformation. The aura of Obscuras energy was even stronger than when Hui had released it, and it was clear that Lu Yin was gradually losing control.

"Its a line from Obscura. He cant handle two of them at once," Greater Sancte Awe Gate said anxiously.

"What will happen to him?" Kang Tian started to back away.

Greater Sancte Awe Gate's expression fell. "If he really does lose control, he may end up becoming a monster that knows nothing but slaughter."

That terrified Kang Tian, and the snail retreated farther away. It felt like Lu Yin was far more terrifying than Hui. The human had far too many methods at his disposal. His means were various and complex to the point where it defied understanding.

If things truly devolved, it would be the first to flee.

Mister Mu stared at Lu Yin and waved a hand. The mirebound artifact cauldron flew towards the younger man. "Suppress."

That single word caused Lu Yin's boiling divine energy to begin calming down. The uncontrollable bloodlust faded from his mind. Breathing heavily, he looked over at Mister Mu. "Master."

"How do you feel?"

"Much better, Master. Please continue to suppress my star of divine energy."

Mister Mus eyes turned to the largest red star in Lu Yins inner universe. If he was being honest, even Mister Mu could no longer understand Lu Yin's path of cultivation.

Once, in the Tianyuans Technocracy, Lu Yin had felt lost because of how many powers and abilities he had been cultivating. At that time, Mister Mu had offered the advice that reaching the peak with each power would be enough.

However, even Mister Mu was currently wondering if Lu Yin may have taken his advice too far.

Nearly every power that Lu Yin cultivated had reached the Aberrant level. Such absurd strength had enabled him to fight against even top experts like Hui head-on, and the silver being had felt completely helpless.

The Aevum Inch was vast, and fishing civilizations were powerful. The unknown was frightening.

But to those civilizations, Lu Yin himself was a terrifying unknown. Forget foreign fishing civilizations, as even human civilization could not fathom the man.

It seemed possible that Lu Yins strength would experience another transformation in a few more years, but only the heavens knew for sure.

No one could see Lu Yin's path clearly. It was a road that he alone could walk.

The cauldron continued to hover above the star of divine energy, suppressing it.
