Chapter 4218: Nothing Is Impossible

Far away, Lu Yin had teleported the Seven-Treasure Anuras and Mister Mu into the Aevum Inch. The seven-colored land could no longer even be seen. There was absolutely no way for the Blacklight Civilization to pursue them.

Most of the Seven-Treasure Anuras were placed in a Zenith Mountain. The only ones who remained out in the Aevum Inch were Lu Yin, Mister Mu, Old First, Old Fourth, Old Fifth, Little Eighteen, and Astral Anura.

Where are we? Old First asked. The black qi that once shrouded their body had dispersed, exposing the toads true form.

Compared to Old Fourth and the others, Lu Yin realized that Old First was the most imposing and impressive of the Seven-Treasure Anuras. Their head was even blockier than the others.

Were some distance away from your homeland, beyond where the Blacklight Civilization can see, Lu Yin replied.

Old First looked at Lu Yin. Thank you, human. If not for you, I would have also died.

Old Fourth and Old Fifth hurried to express their gratitude as well.

Lu Yin exchanged a look with Mister Mu and then turned back to Old First. Theres no need for thanks. Astral Anura is a friend of us humans, and I also promised him that our human civilization has his back. He came seeking our help, and we wouldnt refuse.

Astral Anura was moved. He knew that Seventh Bro was making things up again, but hearing those words still deeply touched the toad.

Old First glanced at Astral Anura and nodded.

Old First, are we really not saving Ancestor? Old Fifth asked.

Old First remained silent.

Little Eighteen was unwilling. Dad, can you not break that seal either?

Old First shook his head. Half of a lotus leaf was still stuck to it. I cant. That seal is the Blacklight Civilizations ultimate power. Legends claim that it can seal everything in the cosmos.

Even if that creature hasnt actually cultivated to the One-Hundredth Seal on its own and it isnt as absurd as the legends, the fact that it imprisoned Ancestor means that its not something that we can break.

Old Fourth lowered their head, not saying a word. The mood had grown quite heavy.

Revenge! Well wipe out that Blacklight Civilization! Astral Anura suddenly shouted, sparking an echo from Little Eighteen. Thats right, revenge! Dad, we want revenge!

Old Fourth and Old Fifth exchanged glances before turning to Old First. We also want revenge!

Old Firsts expression fell as the toad radiated sharp killing intent. I wont let that Blacklight Civilization go!

Little Eighteen looked at Lu Yin. Human, help us. With another Immortal, we can annihilate the Blacklight Civilization.

Old First snapped in a low tone, Shut up! Humanity helping us escape is already enough of an exception. Whenever an Immortal takes action, they add to their karmic chain. They shouldnt have to pay that price. This hatred is ours, and it has nothing to do with them.

But without the humans helping us, we- Little Eighteen tried to argue.

Lu Yin interjected, Actually, there isnt just one way to get revenge.

Seeing the puzzled looks from Old First and the other toads, Lu Yin glanced back in the direction of the Seven-Treasure Anuras homeland. When I first arrived at your land, I left a gate behind. If were lucky and the Blacklight creatures havent found it and destroyed it theyre in for some trouble.

Old First frowned. A gate?

Obscura? Old Fourth and Old Fifth blurted as one.

Lu Yin shrugged. Im sorry, but to protect my human civilization, I joined Obscura.

Old First and the others stared at Lu Yin in a daze. Youve joined Obscura?

Little Eighteens lips peeled back reflexively, but as soon as they remembered how they had all been saved by Lu Yin, the toad could only suppress its reaction.

Lu Yin met their eyes, silently on guard.

While it was true that he had saved the Seven-Treasure Anuras, who could say just how much they hated Obscura? The toads naturally had nasty personalities, and it was not by any means impossible that they would repay kindness with betrayal.

After a moment, Old First let out a breath. How did you end up joining them?

Lu Yin shared how he had been threatened and left helpless to join Obscura. It was necessary for him to be open about such things; their human civilization needed the Seven-Treasure Anuras. If not, why would he have gone to such lengths to save the toads?

Also, Ancestor Shans words had affected him. Lu Yin had become far more wary of Obscura.

After hearing Lu Yins tale, Old First and the others understood. Obscura always has ways to threaten anyone. Dont worry. While we are indeed mortal enemies with Obscura and Old Second died at their hands, we also know that Obscura is not a singular civilization, but rather an alliance of various creatures. Each creature is assigned to their own missions, and the one that killed Old Second has no connection with you. You unwillingly joined in order to save your civilization. We understand that.

Old Fourths mouth twisted. Just try not to bring it up in front of us. Its disgusting.

Old Fifth nodded, but then the toads expression grew odd, and they pointedly studied Lu Yin. Im so smart, and yet I still cant figure out how an Aberrant like you managed to join Obscura. Every member of that civilization is incredibly strong, only a bit weaker than me at worst.

Lu Yin said, Were not going to discuss that right now. In any case, I placed one of Obscuras gates beside your land. Now, we need to go after another civilization. If things go smoothly, you will have your revenge.

What civilization?

A technological civilization. A fishing technological civilization.

Technology was relatively unfamiliar and mysterious among civilizations that roamed the Aevum Inch. It was also precisely that unfamiliarity and mystery that made technological civilizations feared by all.

Unlike cultivation civilizations, where those who became Immortals were bound with karmic chains, there were no such restraints placed upon technology.

For technology to overcome the barrier of the Immortal realm was something that even Immortals could not comprehend.

However, overcoming that barrier did not mean that the creatures in a technological civilization were able to become Immortals themselves, but rather that their technology possessed the destructive power of an Immortal.

If the power of an Immortal could be used without restraint, how terrifying would that be?

Aberrants were feared and were even rarer than Immortals precisely because obtaining the power of an Immortal without reaching that realm was unbelievably difficult. It was even more outrageous than actually breaking into the Immortal realm. It was why Aberrants were so scarce.

In the Aevum Inch, technological fishing civilizations were the rarest of the rare.

Old First had forgotten the last time that he had seen a technological fishing civilization. It was possible that he had never even seen one. This was the most extreme case that the toad had ever seen, where a technological civilization was capable of roaming the Aevum Inch. Creatures who were capable of roaming the Aevum Inch did not necessarily have to be Immortals. More often, such creatures were Dukkhans or beings who had gotten lost in the Aevum Inch.

The moment Lu Yin spoke the words technological fishing civilizatin, the Seven-Treasure Anuras all just stared at him, too stunned to even speak.

Is there really a technological fishing civilization? Old Fourths eyes bulged. They could scarcely believe their ears.

Lu Yin did not have much to say. He quickly started teleporting towards the human megaverses. Seeing with their own eyes would be better than any verbal explanation.

What concerned him the most about luring the technological civilization towards the Blacklight civilization was exposing their human appearance. The technological civilization undoubtedly knew what humans looked like. If he led them over to the Blacklight Civilization, if the two civilizations communicated at all, the Blacklight Civilization would learn that humanity were the ones who had interfered with their vengeance. This was especially true since the Seven-Treasure Anuras seven-colored land was far from the human megaverses, yet still within the same region of the Aevum Inch. The two were not in completely foreign territories to each other.

Lu Yin was afraid of luring the technological civilization closer.

Still, when considering the potential of using that civilization against the Blacklight Civilization, was the risk worthwhile?

He kept considering that, unable to come to a final decision.

While traveling, he raised a question. Why didnt any of the Blacklight creatures use an Immortals world?

Old First replied, There are many methods available to Immortals, any one of which can be a deadly technique. Each Immortal has some power that they favor, believing it to be more effective. For example, take our Seven-Treasure Anuras inherited battle technique, Astral Anura Star-Plucking Hand. We also dont use any sort of world, even though we are able to.

The Blacklight Civilization is similar to us in this matter. They trust the powers and abilities that they have inherited, as well as the cosmic laws that they resonate with.

This trait is actually common among many fishing civilizations. It is hard for the power of an individual to surpass the power of a civilizations legacy. Many would rather trust in their civilizations inheritances, recognizing that as true power. The power that each individual cultivates is instead only considered a support, or even a tool to break into the Immortal realm.

Only civilizations that lack such legacies continue to develop individual power. However, once those civilizations reach the level of a fishing civilization and gain legacies that can be passed down, the direction of the entire civilizations cultivation path shifts.

Lu Yin understood. This was much like the difference between the Tianyuan Megaverse, the Nine Odysseys Megaverse, and the Spirit Nidus.

The Nine Odysseys Megaverse cultivated with spirit seeds, which could be considered an inheritance. That led the people there to not develop unique powers, as was the case in the Tianyuan.

The Tianyuan had too many parallel universes, and that had led to too many different cultivation paths. There was no overall unification.

The simplest way to summarize matters was to say that an individual could not overcome an entire civilization, unless that individual was capable of rewriting the civilization itself.

This is one way to distinguish between powerful civilizations. While not entirely accurate, it is a rough way of measuring, Old First explained.

The original trip to the seven-colored land had taken quite a bit of time, but this return trip was quite quick due to the pathfinding stones that had been scattered along the way.

There were not many pathfinding stones left, which left Lu Yin feeling a bit wistful. If humanity could obtain an endless supply of pathfinding stones and scatter them throughout the Aevum Inch, how wonderful would that be?

The Heavenly Karmic Macrocosm drew close, and Old First stared at it in the distance with trembling eyes. He recognized the presence of a true expert.

It was no wonder why Old Fourth and Old Fifth had turned back for reinforcements after encountering this human civilization; there was a top-tier expert among the humans, not to mention one who had comprehended the power of karma.

Lu Yin took the toads directly into the Nine Odysseys Megaverse, and they appeared in the Sea of Karma before Greater Sancte Green Lotus.

Having reached humanitys megaverses, they could not simply pass on by without stopping.

Greater Sancte Green Lotus observed the group that Lu Yin had brought back. They had appeared out of nowhere. His gaze instantly fell upon Old First, and the human Immortals eyes were filled with strong wariness and vigilance. Both individuals could sense the others strength.

At the same time, Greater Sancti Awe Gate and Blood Tower looked over and started moving for the Sea of Karma.

The Seven-Treasure Anuras thank the human civilization for the rescue. Facing Greater Sancte Green Lotus and the other human Immortals, Old First slowly bowed.

No matter how strong the toad might be, they would have died without the assistance of the human civilization. Old First owed them his life.

Greater Sancte Green Lotus smiled. Humanity and the Seven-Treasure Anuras look out for each other. This was merely the right thing to do.

Old First did not know how to respond. Ancestor Shan had made the decision to not have any dealings with the human civilization, and yet the humans had changed things into looking out for each other.

This reaction left the toads feeling rather awkward, as if they had repaid kindness with betrayal, and yet they were stuck in a situation where they could not really refuse the humans assistance.

Besides, this human civilization was strong.

There were not only the three Immortals who stood before the toads, but also Lu Yin and Mister Mu who had gone to the Seven-Treasure Anuras land, Kang Tian, Master Qing Cao in the Spirit Nidus, and Jiang Feng in the Tianyuan Megaverse. All of them served as a reminder to the Seven-Treasure Anuras that this human civilization was strong.

In Old Firsts eyes, if not for the existence of Ancestor Shan, the Seven-Treasure Anuras would never have even been a match for the current human civilization.

The Blacklight Civilization had succeeded in ambushing and imprisoning Ancestor Shan, which had allowed them to suppress the Seven-Treasure Anuras. However, there was absolutely no chance that the Blacklight Civilization could suppress these humans.

That was particularly true due to the fact that this human civilization even had an ability like teleportation. That was a truly terrifying ability, particularly when it came to war.

Without teleportation, Old First would have never been saved.

When distance no longer needed to be considered, what remained impossible?
