More than a decade later, outside the megaverse where Ancestor Lu Yuan had been staying, the Immortal Lord and Luo Chan appeared in an instant. Accompanying the two was a snow-white flying bird, a Verdant Sage. It was the most powerful Verdant Sage that the Nest civilization had spawned in recent years, and it was already approaching the level of the previous four Insect Lords.
The snow-white bird shot down, making its way into the megaverse in order to scout ahead.
Having been outsmarted by Lu Yin once before, the Immortal Lord needed to be more cautious. They had Luo Chan stay beside them, always ready to vanish at a moment’s notice.
As long as Luo Chan could teleport them both away instantly, the Immortal Lord would fear nothing.
It was outside of Lu Yin’s expectations for the Immortal Lord to take so long to arrive. There was no way that the journey had taken so much time. Instead, this delay seemed intentional, and it was likely part of the Immortal Lord’s attempts to guard themself against Lu Yin. It was no different from the technological civilization; they were both trying to waste time.
Everything Begins From Nothing!
Suddenly, the sky darkened, and everything ceased to exist.
"Leave!" the Immortal Lord shouted fiercely.
The green stalk did not move away and simply swayed, instantly breaking the law that restrained everything. In the blink of an eye, Luo Chan disappeared.
In front of the Immortal Lord, Lu Yin smiled. His lips slowly curved up as he looked at the Immortal Lord while holding a trembling Luo Chan in a hand.
The cosmos was silent for a moment, with only the Immortal Lord and Lu Yin standing across from each other.
"It’s been a long time since we last met, Immortal Lord," Lu Yin said, his smile filling his voice with satisfaction.
The green stalk trembled, and its light grew even stronger. The Immortal Lord spoke first. "Teleportation."
Lu Yin laughed. “So that’s how it is.”
The Immortal Lord had never dreamed that Lu Yin would be capable of teleporting. That ability was the absolute means of the Plume Immortal Civilization.
It was precisely the ability to teleport that allowed the Plume Immortal Civilization to act with impunity, fearless of anyone.
How could Lu Yin have such an ability? What right did he have? There should not be any creatures capable of teleportation, aside from those of the Plume Immortal Civilization, especially not humans.
The Immortal Lord was perfectly clear on just how humiliated humanity had felt when trying to deal with Luo Chan’s teleportation ability. With teleportation, the Nest civilization had also been able to dominate other civilizations, only for this human to have somehow mastered it as well.
In a flash, their past flashed through their mind, especially the time when Luo Chan had been captured. All of it merged with the fact that Lu Yin could now teleport.
The Immortal Lord quickly understood. "You could teleport even before we went to visit the Seven-Treasure Anuras. That is why you dared to allow me to accompany you and did not fear me attacking you. Even if I didn’t care about Luo Chan’s life, you wouldn’t have been afraid."
Lu Yin nodded. "That’s right, I could do it back then."
"So, the reason why you suddenly changed your mind and agreed to release Luo Chan was because you had already obtained its ability." The Immortal Lord’s voice dropped lower than ever. Not even when Luo Chan had been captured had they sounded so serious.
Lu Yin sighed. "There was no choice. Teleportation has caused us too much suffering. Perhaps you don’t understand us humans, but our civilization is unique. The more we fall in one place, the more likely we are to rise from that same weakness."
The Immortal Lord’s tone grew heavy. "What of my power? This is another one of your traps, yet I cannot understand how you did it. How did you acquire the ability to teleport, and how did you obtain my power?"
Lu Yin placed Luo Chan in a Zenith Mountain and then clasped his hands behind his back. "At this point, I still don’t have any intention of sharing that with you."
"Why lure me here? The grudge between me and you humans has already been settled. I don’t believe that you would act against me for the sake of a grudge that’s already been resolved, paying the price of karma for such a thing," the Immortal Lord protested.
As they spoke, Little Eighteen, Jiang Feng, and Mister Mu all appeared. There was no need to hide. The Immortal Lord was powerful, and hiding was not even possible.
This was an Immortal capable of fighting against even Green Lotus.
The Immortal Lord surveyed their surroundings: one Seven-Treasure Anura and two unfamiliar human immortals.
Another unfamiliar Immortal? Just how many Immortals does this human civilization have now?
And why is a Seven-Treasure Anura helping them?
They could not help but feel that a great deal had transpired since they had parted ways with this human civilization.
Lu Yin clenched a fist and shook his arm. "There is something I would like to discuss with you, but words are useless. Immortal Lord, I’ve always been curious. Just what is your true form?"
The moment that Lu Yin finished speaking, he appeared directly in front of the Immortal Lord, already throwing a punch.
This punch contained all of Lu Yin’s power. It was the concentrated force that was able to withstand the pressure of Awe Gate’s thirty-five rifts.
At the same time, Little Eighteen, Jiang Feng, and Mister Mu all made their own moves.
The reason why so many powerful beings had gathered to ambush the Immortal Lord was to finish them off as quickly as possible. The fewer attacks that were used, the less the karmic chains of Jiang Feng and Mister Mu would grow.
The green stalk swayed, Lifeforce boiling from it: Nine Revolutions of Qianyuan.
The green stalk grew explosively, its pale-green light withstanding Lu Yin’s punch without cracking. At the same time, Little Eighteen’s steel fork, Jiang Feng’s sword, and Mister Mu’s palm strike were all blocked as well.
Lu Yin was surprised to see the Immortal Lord start with their Nine Revolutions of Qianyuan, which was their ultimate battle technique. Even the humanoid Verdant Sage had only mastered the Three Revolutions of Qianyuan when Lu Yin had faced them, and that had been enough to force him to merge with the will of a megaverse.
Thunder roared. Jiang Feng’s sword edge trembled, and with a single horizontal slash, he split the cosmos in a single breath.
Little Eighteen roared, their Lifeforce surging into the steel fork as they thrust it forward in a vicious attack.
Mister Mu did not advance, but instead retreated. In front of him, an illusory cauldron appeared. The Ninesuns Cauldron Transformation pushed forward with a crushing blow.
Lu Yin drew his scythe and swept his arm back to release a slash.
There was a clang, and the green light shattered as the Nine Revolutions of Qianyuan was broken. The green stalk spun around like a green ear of wheat, releasing wave after wave of energy that blasted at the four opponents.
Little Eighteen was struck first. They froze for an instant, and then they spat out blood as they were sent flying backward.
Next, Jiang Feng and Mister Mu were both hit by the energy. They were forced to retreat again and again, blood staining the corners of their mouths.
Lu Yin teleported to evade the blast of energy, but the moment he drew near the green stalk, the energy that filled the surrounding area surged into his body in a frenzy.
Is this Lifeforce?
"One Breath Art." The Immortal Lord let out a deep shout as they released even more energy.
Step by step, Lu Yin was forced to retreat. Such overwhelming Lifeforce. He finally understood. It was no wonder Mister Mu and the others had been struck. It was not that the currents could not be evaded, but that they themselves were Lifeforce. Natural instincts would sense no danger at all, yet they were still attacks launched by the Immortal Lord. Even the slightest delay in instinct would result in being hit.
Once that Lifeforce entered one’s body, it was similar to the Activeness megaverse that they had once encountered; it was easy for the energy to overflow one’s body and cause them to explode.
Seeing the green stalk continue releasing Lifeforce, Lu Yin raised his scythe and slashed out again. Activeness, come out for me.
The surging Activeness rushed towards the green stalk, and the Immortal Lord retreated, astonished. What is that?
They were trying to cause the others to swell and burst with Lifeforce, while Lu Yin was using Activeness to attempt the same thing against the Immortal Lord.
The Immortal Lord stared at the scythe in Lu Yin’s hand. Is that an Immortal being?
At that moment, a sword sliced past. The Immortal Lord was a beat too slow, and the green stalk was ripped open in a corner by the passing blade. Jiang Feng had made his move.
The man was not capable of teleporting, but his attack was no less sudden than teleportation. It was born of that hard-to-grasp aura energy, as well as his cosmic law, Everything Begins From Nothing.
At this time, Mister Mu pressed both hands down, once again using the Ninesuns Cauldron Transformation.
The Immortal Lord’s green stalk shuddered once more. In an instant, their Nine Revolutions of Qianyuan expanded countless times, holding back the Ninesuns Cauldron Transformation while branches and leaves spread out from the green stalk, reaching down for Lu Yin and Jiang Feng.
Little Eighteen’s attacks had almost no effect. The Immortal Lord did not even care about the toad.
Lu Yin used Willforce to merge with the megaverse’s will, and then he threw a palm strike at the green stalk.
Lightning flashed before Jiang Feng’s eyes. By relying on Lifeforce and Immortal matter, he forced himself to endure the crushing pressure of the branches and leaves, even as he retreated step after step. The sword in his hand drooped, his eyes closed, and his breathing slowed more than ever.
"Lu Yin, you’re underestimating me! You can’t defeat me! Let me take Luo Chan away. Capturing it is meaningless—you have no idea what lies behind it." The Immortal Lord’s voice rang out. They had no desire to fight these people.
Just a short time ago, Greater Sancte Green Lotus had been the only human Immortal capable of fighting against the Immortal Lord. But now, others from that same civilization were attacking them.
None of their opponents were simple. Not even their Nine Revolutions of Qianyuan could suppress them.
This felt like when they had faced the Hui-Silver Sky Army.
Lu Yin suddenly unleashed his Karmic Dao. Strand after strand of karma fell, surging towards the Immortal Lord, who dodged them with ease. "Your karma is useless against me."
At that moment, a sudden, crushing pressure fell. Heaven's Sight released a power that suppressed all living creatures.
The Immortal Lord failed to defend themself in time and was pressed down slightly. Seizing this chance, Mister Mu raised his hand again. Cauldron, dominion.
This was not his Ninesuns Cauldron Transformation, but rather his mirebound artifact. At this moment, he also unleashed his cosmic law: Dominion, which could suppress all things in the cosmos.
The Immortal Lord was stunned. What sort of power was this?
The green stalk tried to evade, but Lu Yin swung Aberrant in a sweeping slash, and Activeness surged out with the force of a torrential river.
Blood was staining the corners of Little Eighteen’s mouth, and yet they still used Astral Anura’s Star-Plucking Hands.
Jiang Feng’s eyes snapped open. Inhale, exhale. Inhale, exhale. Inhale. He took a single step forward, his sword pointing into the starry sky. Clearly, it was no more than a single point, yet it was as though that point had struck the entire cosmos, forcing everything to bend toward one direction.
The move caused even Lu Yin to glance sideways. He had assumed that Uncle Jiang could only be considered an Immortal of average strength, but it appeared that things were not nearly so simple.
It also seemed that the cosmic law of Everything Begins From Nothing could do more than prevent opponents from escaping.
Boom!
The mirebound artifact descended, slamming into the green stalk and forcing it to bend. Cracks started to appear, and Mister Mu pressed both of his hands down, his expression growing solemn. With his cosmic law working in concert with his mirebound artifact, this method had forced even Hui to the point where it had barely been able to resist.
The Immortal Lord was very strong, but not even they were able to easily break free from this method.
It was at this moment that multiple strands of karma stabbed through the green stalk. Lu Yin stared at those strands. The Investiture of the Gods appeared behind him, and countless strands of sword intents sliced out: Tri-Azure Sword Intent: Hidden Blade.
"Humans, you’re courting death!" the Immortal Lord roared. Their originally soft and gentle voice suddenly became as violent as it thundered across the Aevum Inch. Countless strands of Tri-Azure Sword Intent suddenly froze, as though seized by some unseen force. At the same time, Little Eighteen, Jiang Feng, and even Mister Mu were flung back by that same invisible power.
Lu Yin teleported away. The void had split open where he had just been standing. He looked back and saw a phantom. Was that a green stalk? It looked perfectly identical to the original in every way.
He teleported again. More green stalks appeared everywhere throughout the region of the cosmos, each one ripping through the void and attacking reality.
It was an unseen world, the unique world of the Immortal Lord.
There was a thunderous bang as even the mirebound artifact was knocked away. The green stalk surged out, its green light filling the cosmos as though blossoms were blooming throughout the cosmos. Lu Yin and the others would be buried beneath those flowers.
Green Stalk Realm.
Lu Yin teleported again and again, carrying Mister Mu and the others away, only for the images of the green stalks to always remain around them. They seemed to fill the entire Aevum Inch.
Lu Yin clenched his teeth and teleported all the way back to the human megaverses.
No matter how vast the Immortal Lord’s unique world might be, could it really envelop the Heavenly Karmic Macrocosm?
It was finally time for the others to make their move.
Back in their original position, the Immortal Lord retreated without any hesitation after releasing their Green Stalk Realm. Having already lost Luo Chan, they could no longer teleport.
But just one instant later, two steel forks and a long spear stabbed at them from afar, piercing through the void. The three simultaneous attacks ripped right through the Green Stalk Realm, shooting towards the Immortal Lord.
They turned back. The green stalk’s branches and leaves pressed down, once again using the Nine Revolutions of Qianyuan. A single leaf shrouded the sky like a new world descending, and it brutally smashed down upon a distant point.
