Truthfully, they could not believe the story at all. Nan Ling? Death's Dominion? Gao Tian? Damn it, each ones more monstrous than the last!

Lu Yin calmly stared at the Divine Tree. "Ba Se, I want to speak with the White alone."

"Please confirm that White is in Vestigium."

Lu Yins eyes narrowed, and he fell silent. If White were present, then they had definitely heard him. If White were willing to speak with Lu Yin, they would certainly make contact. Silence meant that White had no intention of talking.

"There is one more thing. Orange also took part in this battle and attacked my human civilization," Lu Yin said.

Hong Xia's voice immediately rang out. He had already known that, the moment the war ended, Lu Yin would definitely visit Vestigium to demand an explanation, though no explanation would be given. "Lu Yin, I never made a move against you. I was merely carrying out my mission from Obscura to search for the Ten-Eyed Divine Crow.

"Ba Se, I found the Divine Crow. It is right in Lu Yin's Tianyuan Megaverse."

Bloodlust blossomed in Lu Yin's eyes. "Hong Xia, how many people from my Trio did you kill?"

Hong Xia shouted back, "Lu Yin, you kept the location of the Divine Crow hidden!"

Lu Yin looked up. "There is no need to conceal anything. The Ten-Eyed Divine Crow is mine. It belongs to no one else. If anyone wants it, they can come and take it from me."

Hong Xia did not dare to respond even to that simple sentence. He knew better than anyone what sort of combat power Lu Yin currently possessed. He had personally watched as Nan Ling, Death's Dominion, and Gao Tian were all killed by him. Each scene had pushed the mans wariness of Lu Yin higher and higher.

Everyone in Obscura felt the same way. Whoever went to take the Divine Crow needed to be prepared to fight Lu Yin. No one had any confidence that they could do so, unless they were a three-law powerhouse. Even then, defeating Lu Yin would come at an enormous cost.

It simply was not worth the effort.

"Your Royal Chesspiece, can you still make a move?" Wang Wen's voice came from above, and it echoed throughout the sky above Vestigium.

Lu Yin looked up. This was the first time that he had heard Wang Wen's voice in Vestigium. This was Obscuras Transparent, the Keeper of Balance.

"Wang Wen, its been a long time," Lu Yin replied, his tone growing calm again.

Wang Wen sounded surprised. "A long time?"

"Yes, a long time. Its been a very, very long time."

"Has Your Royal Chesspiece spent some time in the Mirari Realm?"

"Time is relative. When tasting fine food or wine, time passes quickly, but on the cusp between life and death, it will feel like ages have passed in a moment. I have survived multiple life and death fights, so it feels as though the last time I saw you was a very, very long time ago."

"Then I must congratulate you, Your Royal Chesspiece, on completing your transformation. Youve stepped into the Immortal realm, slaughtered your powerful foes, and protected your civilization."

Lu Yin smiled faintly. "Wrong. I havent killed all my powerful enemies. Aren't you still here?"

"I am not your enemy. As fellow members of Obscura, surely Your Royal Chesspiece doesnt intend to break the rules," Wang Wen teased.

"Of course not. I will certainly abide by the rules of Obscura."

"Good."

"By the way, you just asked whether I could still make another move. Let me answer you." Lu Yin's gaze grew sharp. "Yes."

Wang Wen asked with a smile, "Oh? You can still make another move? Then how many times can you take action?"

"That depends on who Im facing."

"For example?"

"You."

"I see."

"Once."

"Not enough."

Lu Yin shook his head. "It is enough. One chance is all that I need. The last piece to complete something should always be reserved for the most important person. Wang Wen, to me, you are that the most important person."

Wang Wen smirked. "Im honored. In that case, does Your Royal Chesspiece intend to leave this last bit for me?"

"I hope it will be you." Lu Yin did not deny it.

Wang Wen continued to smile. "That is a very small hope."

"Having hope is still better than having none."

"Then I will have to see if I can shatter that hope of yours." As he spoke, Wang Wens voice grew louder. "Ba Se, Void Mountain is currently at war with the Death Megaverse. Is a mandatory draft required to fight a war?"

Lu Yin's eyes flickered, and he suddenly saw in his mind the scene of Wang Wen entering Joy City, after which it had suddenly changed course and raced towards Void Mountain.

Was this also part of Wang Wens earlier calculations? Was his purpose to trigger a conscription for a war against the Death Megaverse, all to deal with Lu Yins current situation?

His karmic chain was already nearly complete. If Lu Yin fought in another war, his karmic chain would very likely be completed. Had Wang Wen truly calculated all the way to this step?

If that were true, then the man had seen almost completely through the entire game.

Ba Se spoke slowly, "A conscription may prove necessary. The war between Void Mountain and the Death Megaverse has not yet produced any results. We need to wait for Greens response."

Wang Wen gave a grunt of acknowledgement. "Your Royal Chesspiece, if a draft is issued, will you participate? I remember that you still have one chance to refuse a conscription, but this war will be fought against the Death Megaverse. If I remember correctly, you seem to hate them in particular."

Lu Yin replied, "I wouldnt call it hatred. There are simply some things that I must do and somematters that I must obtain answers for."

"Answers for whom? Your human civilizations ancestors?"

"Wang Wen, I am very curious. What species are you?"

"What do you think?"

"You are the ancestor of the Wang family, and the Wang family is unquestionably human, so you are also human." Lu Yin was certain of that, and not only for that reason. It was also because Wang Wen had betrayed Hong Shuang. The Rampart Warden could not have possibly fallen in love with a non-human.

"Hehe, enough talk. Human brat, do not harbor strange fantasies about Transparent. If he really is human, then you should be even warier of him, just like Orange," Old Man Hehe said with a chuckle.

Wang Wen smiled. "Thats quite right."

Vestigium fell silent. Obscura could never give Lu Yin an explanation for what had happened, but he had also made his own attitude quite clear. He could only take action once more, and yet he had dared to declare that he would reserve that chance for Wang Wen. No matter how exaggerated it sounded, such a threat was still enough to make every other member of Obscura wary.

Lu Yin had come to understand that every member of Obscura stood within their own sphere. Wang Wen could mobilize many civilizations at once and was also familiar with the Death Megaverse. Hong Xia must have made contact with the Grand Clarity Civilization at some point in time. Additionally, there were also Old Man Hehe, Black, White, and the rest.

Lu Yin had sufficiently expressed his attitude to make a demonstration. What he wanted was temporary stability for his human civilization.

In the eyes of others, Lu Yin's desperate threat was burning his bridges, but in truth, he was buying time for himself.

The length of his karmic chain made it difficult for his true body to ever act again, but his true body was not his only asset.

Traveling through the Aevum Inch, the Divine King was heading back to the Divine Realm.

It regretted taking part in the latest war. It should not have joined. Even if it had, it should have immediately dealt with those humans, instead of dragging things out until Lu Yin appeared.

At first, the Divine King had believed that, with a supreme powerhouse like Death's Dominion taking action, the human civilization had held absolutely no hope at all. Later, when Ni Bieluo and Nan Ling had appeared, it had seen even less of a need to intervene.

Those supreme powerhouses were all extremely hostile towards humanity. They were willing to increase their karmic chains in order to wipe out the species.

The Divine King was different. It bore no grudge against this human civilization, nor did it want to increase its karmic chain. On top of that, it had also wanted to seize those two powerful mirebound artifacts, so it had kept stalling for time.

However, the moment that Green Lotus was released from his seal, it had been too late. The human civilization had withstood one crisis after another, somehow remaining stable. The Divine King stared at the man. "What about that human?"

"Dont worry, he wont trouble you. After killing so many powerful enemies, his karmic chain is nearly complete. At most, he can only kill one more enemy at your level." Wang Wen smiled. "And you are clearly not worth that kill."

The Divine King's voice dropped low. "Very well. Our transaction is now complete. Many thanks."

After speaking, he passed by Wang Wen and left. The Divine King wanted absolutely no further involvement with Obscura.

As for Nightflow God, if it dared to return to the Divine Realm, it would die.

Watching the Divine King leave, Wang Wen muttered to himself, "You should thank the human civilization. Without them, you would have never been able to leave."

"Ancestor, what does that mean, leaving?" Wang Miaomiao asked curiously.

Skydog's ears perked up. It was also curious about this.

"Ni Bieluo."

The war ended, and peace gradually returned while the people of Spirit Nidus were relocated. Beneath a dark sky, rain fell upon the earth and the heads of every person.

In the Nine Odysseys Megaverse and the Tianyuan, countless people stood in silence, gazing at the stone steles before them without a word. The rain seemed like the tears of the dead bidding the living farewell, and it covered both megaverses.
