Chapter 3050: Green Arrow Guidance

Although the scene in the vision seemed somewhat bizarre, Dox was not foolish and almost immediately understood the meaning of the green cursor.

"The avatar of the Speedy is within her substitution object, find a way to provoke her into using the Substitute Technique."

Perhaps fearing that Dox might not understand what the Substitute Technique or substitution object was, Angel considerately listed below a line of knowledge related to the Substitute Technique.

After reading this information, Dox understood what Angel meant.

Winning was not the goal; forcing Sorceress Sharon to use the Substitute Technique was what needed to be done now.

Moreover, from the various limitations of the Substitute Technique, Dox could deduce that Sorceress Sharon was nearly incapable of casting the Substitute Technique five times in succession. He could quickly locate Sorceress Sharon’s position, but Sorceress Sharon still didn’t know she had been exposed.

Using this information gap, Dox began his first step in the plan: deception.

Dox didn’t direct his gaze toward the direction indicated by the green arrow but instead kept looking around, pretending to search for Sorceress Sharon.

But soon, Dox seemed to realize that this way of searching was unlikely to be productive, so he changed his strategy.

Dox leaped into the high air, looking down below, waved his fists, and bombarded the arena fiercely.

Though Dox was dozens of meters above the arena, each of his punches seemed to strike with thunderous force, shaking the arena incessantly.

"This is... a saturation attack," Sorceress Sharon immediately saw through Dox’s intention.

Since he couldn’t find her, he used this indiscriminate, all-covering saturation attack to force her out.

This method might work against wizards of other disciplines.

But against her, it was undoubtedly a foolish decision.

She was a Space Wizard, and her current concealed state was certainly not just simple invisibility but an entry into a special deeper space.

Her space sorcery wasn’t yet fully constructed.

Seeing Dox charging at her like a rainbow, Sorceress Sharon had to forcibly interrupt the gathering spatial energy, leveraging the "Low-Consumption Rapid Change" talent, transforming that energy into another spell technique.

Low-Consumption Rapid Change was a talent she inherited through a bloodline from a mentor she had killed. It was not a complete version and could only convert high-level energy into lower-level energy.

In other words, what she had gathered was a "spell technique", but when interrupted, using the talent to transform it could only turn it into a lower-level "trick".

This talent to convert a spell technique into a trick might not seem advantageous, but in real combat, it was essentially a divine skill.

Because typically, when spell casting is interrupted midway, the accumulated energy either dissipates in vain, or you suffer a spell backlash... neither result is good, especially with a spell backlash, where sometimes death is a light penalty.
