"Hahaha! Not bad! I've condensed nine petals and stepped into the Heavenly Star Realm. Too late to realize that now, isn’t it?" Zhu Long hovered overhead, his eyes full of pride and contempt."Milord is invincible!" Ye Han called out as he flew shakily over. His eyes gleamed with admiration and awe.
Even the Primal Chaos Spiritual God—the mightiest deity of the ancient human race—had reached only the peak of the Heavenly Fate Realm. Yet before Zhu Long, even that legendary figure was no more than an ant.
"Hmph. I've been concealing my true strength to draw you all out," Zhu Long sneered. "As I expected, the six divine sects did send their elites to the Tiny World. It seems they take me seriously, after all. But since you're all here... you can die together."
With a casual wave of his hand, cracking noises echoed through the Nether Realm. Ice spread rapidly across the landscape, freezing the entire region under his power. Even the Black Infernal Array vanished beneath a thick, crystalline layer of frost.
"The Heavenly Star Realm? That's impossible! No one can reach the Heavenly Star Realm in the Tiny World!" Tian Hun shouted, his voice trembling with disbelief.
The Heavenly Star Realm stood a whole tier above the Heavenly Fate Realm. Even if all six of them combined their strength, they couldn't hope to match Zhu Long. His breakthrough meant the fall of the Nether Realm was inevitable.
"Go! All of you, leave now! Open the passage to the Draconic Ruins Realm! I'll stay behind and cover your escape!" the Lord of Nether commanded, gritting his teeth.
He looked down at the warriors of every race fighting desperately below, and at the Nether Realm clans still holding the line in the seventh layer of the Ninth-Layered Deathlands. A firm light flashed in his eyes, filled with resolve.
Then came a deep, thunderous rumble.
The Lord of Nether ignited the nether laws within his body, and instantly, the laws of the Nether Realm responded. Dark clouds swirled from every direction, converging on him with overwhelming force.
"Nether, are you insane? You'll die if you do that!" Ling Yun shouted, his voice tight with panic.
Laws were the very essence of their being. To burn them was to burn one's life—and when the laws vanished, so did the soul. Nothing would remain.
"I, Nether, was born in the Nether Realm," the Lord of Nether declared, his eyes resolute. "Aside from the years I spent training in the Divine Feathers Sect, this realm has always been my home. If I must die, then let it be here. That is my destiny."
"Now go!" he roared. With no hesitation, he launched skyward toward Zhu Long.
With no hesitation, he shot into the sky, soaring straight toward Zhu Long like a blazing comet.
"What a fool," Zhu Long sneered.
He didn't even bother to move. With a lazy flick of his hand, he summoned a wave of terrifying laws that crashed down like a tidal force. Chains of pure law formed in mid-air and lashed out, wrapping around the Lord of Nether in an instant. He froze, completely immobilized.
Even after igniting his laws, the Lord of Nether couldn't break free from Zhu Long's overwhelming power.
Zhu Long had spent countless years devouring fragments of divine sparks left behind by fallen spiritual gods in the Tiny World. That accumulation had pushed his strength to a terrifying level.
"Now, as for the rest of you…" Zhu Long sneered, a menacing grin spreading across his face. "I've waited long enough. Do you think I'll let you escape?"
Black flames surged alongside freezing energy, fusing into a storm of fire and ice that swept across the entire Nether Realm—trapping everyone inside and cutting off all paths of retreat.
Then, two beams of light burst from Zhu Long's eyes.
A blend of icy, abyssal, and infernal energy tore through the air, crashing down onto the Black Infernal Array. The spiritual barrier cracked further under the impact—then shattered completely with a thunderous roar.
The entire Nine-Layered Deathlands lay fully exposed beneath Zhu Long and his minions.
"Ye Han, I'll leave the ones below to you," Zhu Long commanded coldly. "I want bloodshed—leave no one alive."
"Yes, Milord!" Ye Han replied, his eyes gleaming with savage delight.
Ye Han raised his arm and bellowed to the demon beasts behind him, "Follow me!"
With that, he plunged into the Nine-Layered Deathlands, leading the savage horde straight into the heart of the battlefield.
Miserable screams tore through the air as the warriors of the Nether Realm fell one after another. Blood sprayed like crimson rain, staining the sky and soaking the battlefield in death.
The native clans of the Nether Realm fought desperately to hold their ground, their lives hanging by a thread in the face of overwhelming force.
With no Heavenly Fate Realm experts left to defend them, Ye Han led a brutal massacre. One after another, the Nether Realm's defenders fell beneath the claws of the demon beasts.
"Lord Ye Han, our Wugui Family is willing to follow you!" Wu Hun and Wu Yu pleaded after they killed several experts belonging to Blackrock City.
Amid the carnage, Wu Hun and Wu Yu—drenched in blood after cutting down several Blackrock City experts—fell to their knees before Ye Han.
"Lord Ye Han, our Wugui Family is willing to follow you!" they pleaded desperately.
Ye Han let out a cruel laugh. "Hahaha! You fools! What use do I have for you now?"
With a vicious grin, he extended his hand. Power surged through him as he crushed the Wugui Family's experts without hesitation. Watching the despair twist their faces filled him with a sick pleasure.
Then he turned to Luo Xiao and Luo Jian, bloodlust dancing in his eyes. "It's your turn now!" he growled.
High above, Zhu Long began his assault. Having sealed off the entire Nine-Layered Deathlands, he hovered like a shadow of death.
"Nether!" he snarled. "Once I devour your nether laws, I'll become the undisputed ruler of the Tiny World!"
Dark clouds formed around his raised palm, condensing into a monstrous storm that swept down toward the Lord of Nether.
"Nether!"
They watched in despair as Zhu Long's power seized Ling Yun and the other experts, locking them in place. No matter how fiercely they struggled, they couldn't break free from the seal. Paralyzed, they could only watch in helpless horror as Zhu Long's hand reached for the Lord of Nether.
Zhu Long had sealed the Nine-Layered Deathlands completely—cutting off all escape, all hope of salvation.
Just as Zhu Long's hand was about to seize the Lord of Nether, a blinding streak of flame tore across the sky like a tidal wave.
With a thunderous crash, the flames smashed into the dark cloud conjured by Zhu Long.
A warm glow spread through the sky as the fire erupted into a storm of blazing rain. The flames rained down onto the demon beasts below, igniting them on contact. One by one, the fire incinerated them, reducing them to ashes.
Even the frozen landscape of the Nine-Layered Deathlands, locked down by Zhu Long's power, melted under the fiery onslaught.
The spiritual array broke apart and collapsed completely.
"Who's there?!" Zhu Long snapped, his expression darkening at the sudden interference.
He whipped his head around—and his eyes narrowed.
Two figures flashed into view above the Nine-Layered Deathlands, arriving with such blinding speed that even the sharpest eye couldn't follow their movement.
"Master, are you alright?" one of them called out as he flew toward the Lord of Nether. Concern marked his face as he took out a small bottle and handed it over.
"Master, this is a soul elixir," he said urgently. "Take it—it'll help stabilize your soul and restore your laws."
The Lord of Nether stared at him, eyes wide with disbelief.
"N-Nie Li…?" he breathed.
Nie Li had left for the Divine Feathers Sect. So what was he doing here—in the Tiny World?
The Lord of Nether blinked, then rubbed his eyes in disbelief. But the figure before him didn't vanish.
It really was Nie Li.
And he wasn't the only one stunned by the sight. All across the Nine-Layered Deathlands, the sealed experts stood frozen in shock, their gazes locked on the young man who had appeared out of nowhere like a blazing comet.
"Brother Nie Li?" Luo Jian and the others stood frozen, mouths agape. None of them had expected Nie Li to return—especially at such a critical moment.
"It's him…" Ye Han muttered, eyes flashing with hatred as he glared at Nie Li. Clenching his teeth, he soared into the sky and returned to Zhu Long's side.
If there was anyone in the world he despised most, it was Nie Li.
Floating beside Nie Li stood a breathtaking woman. Her expression was icy, and her cold gaze locked onto Zhu Long with a sharp glint of murderous intent between her brows.
Zhu Long burst into laughter the moment he saw her.
"Hahaha! So, it's you, Yu Yan!" he roared, manic excitement twisting his voice. "I searched high and low for you… and you walked right into my hands!"
He threw his arms wide as if to embrace the entire realm.
"This is perfect! Once I devour both you and Nether's divine sparks, I'll possess all the divine sparks and laws of the spiritual gods in the Tiny World! I will become the true god of this world!"
Zhu Long radiated a dreadful aura as his laws surged around him. His gaze locked onto Yu Yan, filled with greed—but also a flicker of caution.
After all, she had once shattered his laws in a single strike.
That blow had made one thing clear: Yu Yan had grown tremendously stronger over the years.
But Zhu Long quickly pushed the thought aside and sneered.
"The spiritual gods of the Tiny World are all capped at the Heavenly Fate Realm," he muttered. "Now that I've stepped into the Heavenly Star Realm, what threat could Yu Yan possibly pose to me?"
He must have been overthinking it.
Meanwhile, the Lord of Nether consumed the elixir Nie Li had given him. The moment it touched his lips, warmth surged through his body. The damage he'd taken from igniting his laws vanished instantly.
He stared at Nie Li in disbelief, then gripped his arm.
"Nie Li, why did you return? You have to leave—now!" he shouted, panic burning in his eyes.
In Liu Wuxie's mind, Nie Li had only joined the Divine Feathers Sect a few years ago. Even with his extraordinary talent, reaching the Heavenly Fate Realm this quickly would already be a feat. But to stand against someone like Zhu Long?
That should have been impossible.
Yet the confidence in Nie Li's eyes said otherwise.
"Master, no one will harm you as long as I'm here," Liu Wuxie said, his voice calm but resolute.
He glanced down at the bloodied cultivators struggling below. At that moment, he finally understood—this was why his master had never returned during the fall of Glory City.
The enemy had already brought the Nether Realm to the brink of collapse.
If he hadn't returned when he did, the Nether Realm would've been annihilated.
Nie Li's gaze sharpened. A cold light flickered in his eyes as he turned to face Zhu Long and Ye Han.
