After Zhu Long's death, countless laws surged into the sky, illuminating the entire Nether Realm in radiant brilliance—vast, multicolored rainbows of law scattered across the heavens, extending in every direction. These laws were remnants of what Zhu Long had once devoured—originally belonging to the spiritual gods of the Tiny World. Now that they were free, they returned to the natural world, waiting silently for a destined soul to one day discover them and become a new spiritual god.
Under the glowing sky, Yu Yan slowly reached out her hand, her expression heavy with sorrow. Petals formed from these laws drifted down like divine snowflakes, each one glowing in dazzling hues. One petal, cloaked in golden flames, landed on her palm before dissolving into shimmering light.
"My old friends," she whispered, "I have avenged you. Now, it's time for me to uncover the truth of my origin."
Lifting her head, she turned and returned to Nie Li's side.
"Yu Yan, what is your current cultivation?" The Lord of Nether and the others, including Ling Yun, stared at her in shock. Their throats tightened as they swallowed hard.
Yu Yan didn't just stun them by obliterating Zhu Long in a single strike—her sheer presence made it hard to breathe. Her pressure was overwhelming, far beyond what any of them could withstand.
"I've only recovered to the Martial Ancestor Realm," Yu Yan said quietly, shaking her head.
Some of her memories returned, bringing with them a chilling realization: beings like the Sage Emperor were her true enemies. With her current strength, even a breakthrough to the Heavenly Dao Realm wouldn't be enough to stand against him.
The Lord of Nether and the others gaped, utterly speechless. "The Martial Ancestor Realm? Only?"
That realm was the domain of the top-tier elders of the six divine sects—unfathomably beyond their reach. Even at her peak, Yu Yan had only reached the Heavenly Fate Realm, just like the others. How could she ascend to the Martial Ancestor Realm so suddenly?
"Nie Li, what about you?" Ling Yun asked, his voice anxious.
Nie Li smiled lightly. "I'm still far behind Big Sister Yu Yan. I've only reached the Dao of Dragon Realm."
"Dao of Dragon? Only?" The shock hit them like a hammer. The Lord of Nether and the others nearly spat blood at his words, utterly lost for a response.
"Master, let's go down," Nie Li said to the Lord of Nether as they began their descent toward the Black Infernal Tower.
"Nie Li…" Luo Jian of the Jade Seal Family stepped forward. His eyes were filled with disbelief. "I never imagined you'd reach this level. It feels like a dream."
More figures emerged from the battered crowd. Members of the other families gathered.
"Brother Luo, everyone… you've all suffered." Nie Li looked at the group, their bodies wounded, faces exhausted and worn.
A tremor ran through his heart. A chill ran through him—he was grateful he'd arrived in time. Had he been even a step late, his master and everyone else might have perished.
"Master, is everyone alright?" Nie Li asked as he turned to the Lord of Nether.
"They're all fine," the Lord of Nether replied. "Thankfully, you once gave me the method to control the Black Infernal Tower. That's how we managed to hold out until now."
Ling Yun and the others exclaimed in amazement. "We still don't know where the Black Infernal Tower comes from. How can it possess such terrifying power?"
Nie Li turned his gaze toward the tower, his expression solemn. "This tower is likely a treasure left behind by Emperor Kong Ming."
In truth, the Lord of Nether and the others had never truly unleashed the tower's full power. If they had, defeating someone like Zhu Long would've been as effortless as flipping one's hand.
"Emperor Kong Ming?" The Lord of Nether frowned. "Wasn't it rumored that the Black Infernal Tower was left behind after a battle between two supreme experts who had mastered the legendary Unbounded Profound?"
"They were merely disciples," Nie Li replied, shaking his head. "They practiced under Emperor Kong Ming's teachings."
His eyes remained fixed on the Black Infernal Tower, one of the reasons he had returned to the Nether Realm.
The Lord of Nether and the others exchanged uneasy glances, deeply shaken by Nie Li's revelation.
"By the way, Nie Li," the Lord of Nether finally asked, "How did your strength increase so much? And how are the others doing in the Draconic Ruins Realm?"
"Oh, I nearly forgot," Nie Li said, scratching the back of his head with an embarrassed grin.
With a casual wave of his hand, several figures suddenly materialized in the air. Ye Ziyun, Xiao Ning'er, Lu Piao, Du Ze, and the others appeared out of thin air, drawing startled gasps from everyone present.
"Huh? Why did I suddenly appear here?" Lu Piao exclaimed, caught in an awkward position atop the Divine Chaotic Dragon Spear. He quickly scrambled down, landing with a thud and looking around in confusion.
His eyes swept the crowd, then stopped.
"Master?!" he blurted out in shock upon spotting the Lord of Nether.
Ye Ziyun and Xiao Ning'er stepped forward, cupping their fists respectfully toward Ling Yun. "Master…"
Du Ze, Duan Jian, and the others also bowed deeply toward Tian Hun and the rest of the elders, paying their respects.
"This is the Nether Realm?" Lu Piao looked around with wide eyes. "Nie Li, how did we end up here?"
His gaze shifted to the surroundings, taking in the torn earth and scorched skies.
"Wait—was there a battle here?" He suddenly sprang to his feet, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Nie Li, where's the enemy? Leave them to me! I've been dying for a good fight!"
The Divine Chaotic Dragon Spear appeared in Lu Piao's hand with a flash of radiant light, releasing a dazzling arc of energy. In the next instant, a terrifying surge of aura erupted from him, spreading in all directions like a violent storm.
Ye Ziyun, Xiao Ning'er, and the others immediately grew alert, their eyes scanning the surroundings. Without a word, they released their auras, overwhelming and forceful, causing the space around them to tremble violently.
The pressure they gave off was suffocating.
Even the Lord of Nether and the others retreated several steps, their faces twisting as they struggled against the crushing pressure. It wasn't just powerful—it was absolute.
They stared at Ye Ziyun, Xiao Ning'er, Du Ze, Duan Jian, and the rest, their hearts filled with disbelief.
What level of cultivation had they reached?
Nie Li's expression darkened.
"Lu Piao," he said, his voice low, "it was Ye Han and Zhu Long who led the demon clan in an assault on the Nether Realm. But it's been dealt with."
"What? Ye Han—that bastard?!" Lu Piao exploded, eyes wide with rage. "Nie Li, why didn't you call me out earlier? He dared to lay a hand on my master? I'd have smashed his teeth in and let him taste my spear!"
As he spoke, he swung the Divine Chaotic Dragon Spear with fury, unleashing another wave of terrifying aura. The power surged outward like a shockwave, causing the surrounding space to rumble as though the sky itself were about to split open.
"Lu Piao, what's your cultivation now?" the Lord of Nether asked, eyes narrowed as he tried to steady himself under pressure.
Lu Piao grinned. "Master, I'm only at the pinnacle of the Dao of Dragon Realm. Just one step away from the Martial Ancestor Realm, but it's a tough wall to break through. I'll probably need a few more days to make the jump."
Then, gesturing casually to his companions, he added proudly, "As for the others—they're more or less the same."
Pinnacle Dao of Dragon Realm?
The Lord of Nether and the others gulped their saliva hard. They could hardly imagine what kind of ordeal in the Draconic Ruins Realm could have pushed their cultivation so far.
The pinnacle of the Dao of Dragon Realm was just below the level of the five elders in the Divine Feathers Sect.
Nie Li looked around at the gathered crowd, then turned to the Lord of Nether.
"Master," he said, "the Demon God Sect has set its sights on the Tiny World. I've already relocated everyone from Glory City to the Draconic Ruins Realm. Now, I intend to relocate the entire Nether Realm as well."
The Lord of Nether's expression turned grim.
"Can the Draconic Ruins Realm even accommodate so many?" he asked, worry evident in his voice.
The Draconic Ruins Realm already held a vast population. Moving the entire Nether Realm meant undertaking a massive task that would strain even the strongest factions. Not only were the logistics immense, but the cost also placed a heavy burden. Every cultivator arriving there required resources, cultivation grounds, and protection. Even a dominant power like the Divine Feathers Sect would find it difficult to sustain such a burden.
Moreover, everyone had to cultivate after reaching the Draconic Ruins Realm, which meant they would consume an immense amount of resources. Even the Divine Feathers Sect struggled to sustain that level of consumption.
That's why the Six Divine Sects traditionally selected only a handful of elite talents from the Tiny World.
The Lord of Nether shook his head. "Even if you've become a prodigy in the Divine Feathers Sect, the elders won't approve such a plan."
"Huh? Master, you didn't know?" Lu Piao blinked, then grinned proudly. "Nie Li is the sect master of the Divine Feathers Sect now. He doesn't need anyone's approval to make that decision."
Nie Li… sect master of the Divine Feathers Sect?
The Lord of Nether and the others stood frozen, their minds blank. For a moment, they couldn't process what they had just heard.
"Besides the Divine Feathers Sect," Lu Piao continued, his tone brimming with pride, "the other five divine sects now follow Nie Li's lead."
The shock deepened.
The Lord of Nether finally managed to speak, voice low with disbelief. "Nie Li… is what Lu Piao said really true?"
Nie Li nodded calmly. "That's right. I'm currently the sect master of the Divine Feathers Sect. As for the other sects, we're technically in a cooperative alliance—but they're likely to follow my instructions."
A wave of gasps swept through the crowd.
Nie Li had only been in the Draconic Ruins Realm for a short time. And yet, he had already ascended to a position of power even most lifelong cultivators could never hope to reach. Everyone present was left wondering—just how had he managed to do it?
Although many below didn't know the full scope of the Draconic Ruins Realm's structure, they understood enough. The Six Divine Sects were the strongest righteous forces in the realm, and now they all listened to Nie Li.
"Master, just make the arrangements," Nie Li said, smiling. "Leave the rest to me."
He turned his eyes toward the gathered experts of the various families. With so many people relocating to the Draconic Ruins Realm, he could already envision the rise of a new wave of powerful cultivators—ones who would become his future strength in the battle against the Sage Emperor.
In the crowd, Long Sha and Gui Sha instinctively shrank back, trying to hide behind the others.
But Nie Li's gaze caught their movement.
A cold glint flashed in his eyes as he stepped forward.
"Long Sha. Gui Sha."
The crowd immediately parted, revealing the two trembling men. They dropped to their knees in terror.
"Hmph, dogs of the Dark Guild," Lu Piao scoffed.
An immense pressure descended on them, pinning them to the ground. Overwhelmed with fear, they didn't dare resist.
"Nie Li, let me kill them!" Lu Piao raised his spear, ready to strike.
But Nie Li raised a hand and stopped him.
"Forget it," Nie Li said coldly. "They're vile, but they didn't betray the Nether Realm. Their lives will be spared."
He looked down at the two, his eyes sharp. "But while they can escape death, they won't escape punishment. Every sin must be repaid. Each of you, leave behind an arm."
With a flick of his fingers, a sharp burst of power blasted forth.
Long Sha and Gui Sha screamed as a flash of power obliterated one of their arms in an instant.
They dropped to the ground and kowtowed in horror. "Thank you for sparing our lives!"
"Hmph. You two got off easy," Lu Piao muttered as he retracted his spear.
"Master, begin the preparations," Nie Li said. "I'll retrieve the Black Infernal Tower first."
With that, he turned and flew toward the tower. He knew it might be a treasure Emperor Kong Ming had left behind, there was no way he would leave something so valuable behind in the Tiny World.
