At the front of the assembled forces, the four leaders stared at Souta.
Each of them had a different reaction.
Urhan’s frown deepened.
The moment Souta appeared, he sensed it immediately.
The energy radiating from Souta was far greater than before. The difference wasn’t small. It was enough to make even him feel alarmed.
’He’s become stronger...’
Urhan’s grip on his trident tightened unconsciously.
Beside him, Armante’s expression grew solemn.
He had initially believed Urhan’s report might have contained some exaggeration.
Now he realized he had underestimated the situation.
The monster before him was even more terrifying than what Urhan had described. The pressure rolling off Souta alone was enough to make ordinary experts lose the will to fight.
Meanwhile, Sea Devourer reacted differently.
His six eyes widened and a trace of fear appeared within them.
Without realizing it, he took a step backward.
The movement did not escape Urhan and Armante’s notice.
Both men turned toward him.
"What’s the matter?" Urhan asked.
Sea Devourer’s throat moved, his gaze never left Souta.
"T-This monster..."
His voice trembled slightly.
"He’s an Emperor."
Silence spread among the nearby experts.
As an Advanced Fifth Stage monster, Sea Devourer’s instincts were far sharper than those of humans. The moment he saw Souta, he recognized it.
The oppressive aura.
The overwhelming pressure unique to a monster.
The natural authority that stood above all monsters.
Everything pointed toward a single truth.
An Emperor.
Sea Devourer found it difficult to accept.
The probability of encountering a Monster Emperor was already exceedingly low. Yet one was standing before him right now.
Across the battlefield, Souta glanced at Sea Devourer. A faint smile appeared on his face. Then his gaze shifted.
He looked beyond the four leaders and toward a group of monsters gathered among the republic’s forces.
His eyes settled on a particular figure.
"What about you?"
His calm voice echoed across the battlefield.
"Are you going to stand there without greeting your Emperor?"
The monster he addressed was a humanoid creature standing roughly two meters tall. His skin was blue, a pair of pointed ears protruded from the sides of his head, and monster orb rested on his forehead, while his fingers were connected by webbed flesh adapted for swift movement through water.
The monsters behind him shared similar traits, though their appearances varied in size and detail.
The humanoid monster stiffened.
Then, under the gazes of countless experts, he took a step forward and knelt.
"Greetings, Emperor."
His voice was solemn and respectful.
"I am Goktobas, Ruler of the Weeds Trench."
The surrounding experts immediately became restless.
An Intermediate Fifth Stage monster had knelt before Souta without hesitation.
Goktobas himself felt conflicted.
Part of him wanted to resist. Part of him wanted to maintain his dignity. But his instincts screamed otherwise. Every fiber of his being urged him to submit.
The pressure of an Emperor was simply too overwhelming.
Souta looked down at him and then he spoke calmly.
"Leave this place."
Goktobas lowered his head further.
"This is a command you should obey."
Souta’s scarlet eyes glowed faintly.
"Nothing good will come to your tribe if you remain here."
Goktobas fell silent.
He understood what Souta meant. The monsters standing behind him all belonged to the Sea Goblin Tribe. As fellow monsters, they were directly affected by the authority of an Emperor. Compared to other monsters, resisting that influence was vastly more difficult for the species of goblins.
After a brief moment, Goktobas nodded. He slowly rose before turning toward his subordinates.
"We are leaving."
His voice rang firmly across the battlefield.
"We will follow the Emperor’s will."
The Sea Goblins immediately lowered their heads.
Not a single one objected.
In fact, many appeared relieved.
Goktobas glanced at them and understood why. The pressure weighing upon them was even greater than what he himself felt.
He could see it in their eyes.
The instinctive urge to obey. The reverence. And the submission.
It was only natural.
Monster society possessed a hierarchy stricter than kingdoms and civilizations. It was engraved into their blood, etched into their bones, and before a true Emperor, resistance was nothing more than an illusion.
Goktobas was no ordinary Sea Goblin. He was an Aqua Revenant Hob, one of the most powerful and feared species among the Sea Goblin tribes. Most Aqua Revenant Hobs dwelled in the deepest regions of the ocean, where even powerful experts rarely ventured.
Their affinity for water far surpassed that of ordinary aquatic races. Within the ocean, they could manipulate water with terrifying precision, and their combat prowess increased dramatically.
An Aqua Revenant Hob fighting underwater was at least fifty percent stronger than when fighting on land or in the air.
That was precisely why Goktobas had been recruited by the Creasant Republic.
He was not merely a powerful monster. He was a strategic asset.
Urhan’s gaze landed on Goktobas, his expression darkening.
"Are you really leaving just like that, Goktobas?"
His voice carried a trace of displeasure.
"Don’t forget that your tribe resides within the territory of the Creasant Republic."
The implication was clear.
His tribe was part of the republic for years.
Now was not the time to abandon them.
Before Goktobas could respond, Sea Devourer shook his head.
"Don’t stop him."
His voice was unusually serious.
Urhan frowned.
Sea Devourer stared directly at him and said, "You don’t understand, Urhan. You have no idea what an Emperor truly represents. We can feel it in our very existence. You cannot feel it since you’re a demi."
Silence followed.
Only monsters could truly understand the pressure an Emperor exerted upon lesser species.
It was not merely strength.
It was an authority.
A superiority ingrained into the hierarchy of life itself.
Meanwhile, on the opposite side of the battlefield, Aldemaran stood motionless.
A strand of blood-red lightning drifted through the water before him.
He reached out and allowed it to settle in his palm.
Crackle!
The lightning hissed softly.
Then Aldemaran’s eyes widened.
"T-This...!"
His breathing became uneven. He slowly raised his head and stared at Souta. Disbelief filled his face.
"Blood in the form of lightning...?"
The realization struck him like a thunderbolt.
At that moment, Souta took a step forward.
Boom!!
Blood-red lightning erupted beneath his feet. Violent arcs spread throughout the battlefield, illuminating the surrounding ocean with a crimson glow.
The pressure instantly intensified as Souta lifted his head. Despite standing below, it felt as though he were looking down upon everyone present.
Aldemaran’s expression turned increasingly grim.
"He possesses many titles."
His voice echoed across the battlefield.
"The infamous monster known throughout the God’s Continent."
The surrounding experts listened intently.
Many had never left the Depths of Banquet.
Information regarding the outside world was limited.
"I believed he had perished during the great battle several months ago. Who would have thought he would appear here... in our land?"
A tense silence followed. Then Aldemaran continued.
"He’s the one who defied the impossible. The Only One. The Irrefutable Strongest Fourth Stage Monster and now..."
Aldemaran paused, his expression became complicated.
"He has achieved the Fifth Evolution Stage."
Aldemaran slowly spoke the name that had become legend across entire continents.
"The Blood Lightning Monster."
Souta smiled faintly at Aldemaran.
"Too late."
Boom!!!
An unimaginable surge of power exploded from his body. Blood-red lightning flooded the battlefield. The ocean shook violently and the seabed cracked.
He didn’t hesitate to activate [Yin Yang Unification] and the other equipment skills that could enhance his power.
Darkness and light flowed from the halo behind his back like a cape. They spread through the surrounding waters, covering the space behind him and encompassing several kilometers.
Sea Devourer, Urhan, and Armante narrowed their eyes. They had no idea who the Blood Lightning Monster truly was, but judging from Aldemaran’s description, they knew that the monster before them was an extraordinary figure on the continent.
Ohm!!
The eight spider-like limbs on his back moved. Four on the left and four on the right emitted a crimson glow. As the dust settled, everything in the area became shrouded in blood lightning, darkness, and light.
Boom!!
The four leaders were startled as Souta charged toward them.
Urhan and Armante tightened their grips on their weapons and unleashed their Elemental Drives. As for Aldemaran and Sea Devourer, both subconsciously took a step back.
Sea Devourer knew that the enemy before him was an Emperor, and that knowledge placed immense psychological pressure on him.
Aldemaran was no different.
Anyone who had heard of the Blood Lightning Monster’s deeds in the past would be terrified.
As a Fourth Stage Monster, the Blood Lightning Monster had slain an initial Fifth Stage Monster that sought to subdue him. Millions had rallied together in an attempt to kill him, yet none had succeeded. He had even destroyed a Demon Headquarters before disappearing, leading everyone to assume that he had perished in the battle.
Whoosh!!
Souta shot forward like a bolt of blood-red lightning.
"He’s coming!" someone shouted.
Urhan, Armante, Sea Devourer, and Aldemaran immediately focused their attention on him.
Their energies surged, weapons were raised, and spells were prepared.
The four leaders believed the same thing.
Souta was charging straight at them.
The distance between both sides rapidly closed.
The surrounding experts held their breath as they anticipated a catastrophic collision between the strongest forces on the battlefield.
Then, Souta suddenly changed direction.
Whoosh!!
His figure twisted sharply and plunged downward.
"What?!"
Urhan’s eyes widened.
Armante’s expression shifted.
Even Sea Devourer and Aldemaran were caught off guard.
They had fully prepared themselves for a frontal clash.
Yet at the final moment, Souta abandoned the direct approach and shot toward the depths below.
The four leaders quickly turned their heads.
