Chapter 3722: A Third Enemy

Far away on the continent of Samarkha, the battle between Amare and Tokugawa Ieyasu halted as the world around them was flooded with Water.

Amare was injured, covered in wounds even as she panted with an exhausted expression, having fought not just the Suneater for an extended period of time, but later even Ieyasu.

And yet, her amber eyes lit up with ecstasy as the embodiment of Water washed over the entire world, sweeping over all of them. "Rui! You’re finally awake!"

Not just awake, however.

She knew him the most, so she could tell.

He was much, much stronger than he had ever been in the past.

So much so that even Amare was unable to fathom the depths of the power that she sensed. This was despite the fact that the intensity of his Martial Embodiment had actually lowered and had become more gentle and tolerable.

VMMM...

The Abyssal Mirror MECHA turned towards the east as Tokugawa Ieyasu’s cybernetic eyes sharpened.

Despite the darkness of the night, he could see Rui tangling with both Sentinel Prime and the Suneater without succumbing to their combined assault.

"You..." Ieyasu’s voice hardened.

He turned towards Amare, whose Realms of power had already started to flicker with the accumulated exhaustion of two battles. With her exhaustion, she was not going anywhere, and he would find her if he left her on this continent to assimilate her power once and for all.

But with Rui... he probably wouldn’t have a chance like this ever again.

When he tried using the Eye of Prophecy to predict the outcome of the battle, he simply wasn’t able to see it.

He wasn’t even able to get an impression.

This only happened with beings astronomically greater than him.

Tokugawa Ieyasu’s expression tightened as he charged towards Rui, having made his decision.

"No!" Amare’s expression tightened as she tried to intervene, but failed as she Martial Heart finally gave out, running out of energy.

"No..." Her vision began to blur. "Rui..."

THUD

She collapsed to the ground unconscious as Tokugawa Ieyasu shot in the direction of the raging battle between Rui, Sentinel Prime, and the Suneater.

RUMBLE!!!!!

Sentinel Prime charged towards Rui through the air, unleashing a destructively powerful blow at Rui laced with plasma.

WHOOSH!

His eyes widened as his attack crashed into an empty image.

A feint.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

A thundering blow ravaged his torso as Rui inflicted a serious wound on his body, crumpling his exterior electromagnetic flesh armor, only to find himself in the way of the giant swinging his arm at him with immense power.

WHOOSH

Rui teleported away gazing straight into the giant’s eyes, flaring his presence to the very maximum as he altered his DNA to amplify the technique.

"Breathing Crucifix."

Suddenly, the giant froze as his breathing tightened, growing more and more suffocated by the moment. Ordinarily, Breathing Crucifix wouldn’t work on someone as large as the giant. Rui simply couldn’t project the kind of information needed to affect such a large brain with his hypnosis.

But with his evosapien half, he could alter his DNA to become more opaque for a moment and more light-reflective, as well as generally more energy projective, causing Rui to enlargen in the giant’s mind and reach the size of influence needed.

By manipulating his DNA, he could alter his body on a genetic level to amplify his Breathing Crucifix, creating an enhanced version of the technique. The only shortcoming was that he would need to maintain the genetic transformation, which consumed a part of his total genetic adaptive evolution capital.

The giant gasped for air as Rui’s hypnosis kept him in place momentarily, only for Sentinel Prime to roar as he launched a myriad of blows against Rui, threatening to crush him where he stood.

WHOOSH

Rui evaded his giant fist, only to find himself face to face with the sentinel’s knee exactly at the right time and place.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

Despite a destructive heavy attack, Sentinel Prime gritted his teeth as Rui emerged from it unscathed. "Feel my wrath!"

He unleashed an extraordinarily destructive onslaught of attacks, each threatening to crush Rui where he stood.

BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOOM!!!

The sentinel’s energy core vigorously converted antimatter and matter to energy, powering an unfathomable amount of energy and power all for the sake of ravaging Rui’s body.

Much to NOVA’s shock, Rui didn’t even bother trying to put up a guard. His body went limp as the blows ravaged him across entirety of his body.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

A thundering impact ravaged Rui’s body.

Or not.

Sentinel Prime’s eyes widened as NOVA realized that Rui’s body hadn’t taken even the slightest ounce of damage!

His strangely translucent body had not a single scratch to it.

It was unharmed.

"What..." Sentinel Prime gritted his teeth. "What the hell is up with your body?!"

"Ah..." Rui stretched as if he had just woken up from a good nap before smiling at Sentinel Prime with gentle mirth. "Thanks for the juice."

He had transformed his DNA to amplify Body of Water and Anti-Spiral.

The former was a Martial Art technique that made his body hyper-elastic by relying on the fact that the body was seventy-percent water, enhanced with vibrations that loosened the body up, while the latter was a technique that could absorb the energy of impacts, store them or use them against his opponents.

Rui had edited his DNA and transformed his evosapien half into a hyper-elastic gel that made him a living ball of gel and rubber.

He was indestructible to blunt force.

"Let me show you..." Rui balled his hand into a fist. "...the power that I have obtained."

He swung his fist, teleporting at the final moment.

Even if NOVA had predicted it, she couldn’t move the giant body of Sentinel Prime out of the way.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

Rui hardened his fist while simultaneously adding a layer of invintium over his knuckles. The resulting collision ravaged Sentinel Prime’s flesh armor, sending shivers of pain across the sentinel’s skin.

Yet, before Rui could finish the job off, an immensely powerful beam of wind blasted into him, forcing him to disengage with Sentinel Prime to defend himself.

BOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

Rui sharpened his ethereal eyes as he spotted the Abyssal Mirror charging towards him.
