NOVA had completed the transitioned the data banks and processing power of the Continent of Acherialis to dropping their other duties and focusing on predicting Rui Quarrier. It had taken some time, due to the fact that these databanks had important duties relating to the maintenance of important infrastructure in Greater Tekvoria. The moment she realized the full scope of the threat, she understood that there was nothing more important than killing Rui Quarrier.
’I must kill him before he grows any stronger!’
NOVA’s mind surged with a tremendous amount of processing power as Sentinel Prime charged towards Rui with a frightening velocity as he charged his fists with plasma.
"This again?" Rui’s ethereal voice rang in his ear as he altered his DNA to siphon away the plasma from his enemy. "You’re too intelligent to know that this won’t work—"
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
Rui’s eyes widened as the plasma disappeared at the final moment, forcing him to deal with the raw blunt-force of the attack. Because he had altered his evosapien DNA to absorb the plasma, he wasn’t able to absorb the blunt force as well.
Sentinel Prime’s cybernetic eyes flared with triumph as he launched a simple blunt-force blow at Rui, threatening to ravage his much smaller body.
CRACKLE CRACKLE CRACKLE!
Rui’s ethereal eyes sharpened as a surge of plasma emerged at the very final moment, burning his exterior flesh. "I see. So you want to play rock-paper-scissors."
NOVA could switch between either attack at any moment. If Rui wanted to defend correctly, he would need to predict which attack NOVA would ultimately end up choosing, while NOVA would need to predict his prediction.
It was a battle of foresight.
"A battle that I have already defeated you once in."
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!
CRACK CRACK CRACK!
A thundering blow ravaged Rui as he failed to absorb the impact, causing his bones to crack under the sheer weight of the attack.
Just like the Dragon Emperor, Sentinel Prime existed in a whole other realm of physical power compared to Rui. In fact, in this battle of four, Rui was easily the physically weakest, much weaker than the likes of Suneater, Sentinel Prime, and the Abyssal Mirror MECHA.
RUMBLE!!!!!
Sentinel Prime’s cybernetic eyes flared with power unleashed an onslaught of attacks against Rui, hoping to destroy his body.
BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!
CRACKLE CRACKLE CRACKLE CRACKLE CRACKLE CRACKLE!!!
A storm of blunt force and plasma erupted from Sentinel Prime as NOVA deployed the sum totality of all processing power she could get her hands on to out-predict Rui. She had beaten him with her own innate processing power, but had still chosen to go all out with mobilizing everything at her disposal to gain as dominant a predictive edge as she possibly could.
Rui deployed the VOID algorithm, the SOUL System, and the Eye of Prophecy to the best of his ability, but he simply couldn’t out-think a sentient quantum supercomputer supported by additional processing power.
Not to mention, he had more than one opponent.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!
Tokugawa Ieyasu unleashed a powerful heavenly attack of unfathomable force as powerful pressure engines amplified each and every single breathing technique he had activated.
Even the simplest of low-grade techniques was amplified to the very limit. Tokugawa Ieyasu also deployed his VOID algorithm, along with his Mind’s Eyes and the Eye of Prophecy. He had even used Assimilative Evolution to merge all three techniques into the Mind’s Eye of Voidic Prophecy, similar to what Rui had done with the Prophecy of the Void.
It allowed him to gain an extraordinary amount of foresight into both Rui and Sentinel Prime, coordinating with the latter to inflict as much damage on Rui’s body even if Rui healed it in the blink of an eye.
The only discordant variable was the Suneater, but the tremendous shockwaves and turbulence he unleashed harmed Rui more than it did Sentinel Prime or the Abyssal Mirror MECHA.
"Water." The celestial giant boomed as his powerful arms swatted at Rui with greater and greater speed. "I seek water!"
RUMBLE!!!!!
Rui’s ethereal eyes sharpened as he moved away from the giant’s hand, failing to teleport under the sheer amount of turbulence the powerful giant unleashed. Teleporting in the face of so many shockwaves and winds was much, much harder than teleporting at the bottom of the Great Void Ocean, which he had only managed to do after gaining Enlightenment of Water.
The moment he evaded the Suneater, he found himself face to face with the Abyssal Mirror MECHA that ravaged his body with a widescale heaven attack, giving Sentinel Prime an opportunity to blast Rui with a storm of blunt-force and plasma, out-predicting Rui at every opportunity.
BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!
CRACKLE CRACKLE CRACKLE CRACKLE CRACKLE CRACKLE!!!
Rui’s ethereal eyes remained fixed on the ferocious Sentinel Prime as he mounted the best defense he possibly could, all while trying to avoid being killed by Tokugawa Ieyasu or the Suneater.
His three enemies had gotten their act together and had begun coordinating more and more smoothly, much to Rui’s chagrin. Even if Suneater simply did his own thing mindlessly, the other two had extremely high foresight, allowing them to integrate the Suneater into their coordination smoothly.
It was a miracle that any one entity had managed not only to survive but hold his own against two top-ten powerhouses, and one who was extremely close to that level, but Rui was increasingly being pushed on the back foot.
In the long run, it was only a matter of time before he would be defeated at this rate.
’I... am still only scratching the surface of what my evolutionary side is capable of. I have yet to fully reconcile my Evolutionary mastery with my Martial mastery.’
He had lived Anthea’s life in his shoes from start to finish.
He had inherited his memories and muscle memories, which meant that he had achieved proficiency with evosapien flesh. The issue was that evosapien combat and Martial combat were extremely different, with different philosophies and approaches.
The biggest differences being the purpose of the body and movements.
In Martial Art, the body served action. Bodies were sculpted and trained to perfection to suit a movement. In Evolutionary combat, the actions served the body. Every motion that evosapiens made revolved around their genetic adaptive evolution.
Until he resolved these incompatibilities, he would not be able to overcome his opponents.
RUMBLE!!!!!
The pressure continued mounting on Rui as all three of his enemies began pushing him to his very limits.
