Rui's eyes widened as he beheld a unifying perspective and a unifying wave of emotions across human civilization, creating a powerful force that could alter the information dimension if truly harnessed.Yet, they didn't realize the power they had, and thus, it never manifested in anything meaningful.
'Is this power the path forward into the Transcendent Realm?'
He didn't know. He wasn't even sure how to harness it. But all he knew was that it was capable of great things if harnessed properly. He wondered that if harnessing phenomenological uniformity across life across the entire universe was the key to reaching deeper and deeper into the information dimension.
If that was the case, then he was only just getting started.
RUMBLE
His attention shifted back to the stream as Pioneer I slowly moved to another object that simply hung in space. An object arguably even more important than Pioneer I itself.
The Intestellar Gate was the key to the gateway to the universe. It was an object designed and created by the best engineers of Panamic Civilization. The Esoterist had worked alongside a new generation of immortal sages to design and create an ultra-massive world bridge system that could transport ships many light-years away. It contained three-percent of all negatron matter mined by human civilization, signifying just how much humanity was willing to invest in their desire to reach the stars.
"Here it comes." Rui's words were solemn, reflecting the weight of the moment. Everything that the Panamic Space Organization had worked for in the past six years was precisely for this moment. The staff monitoring the systems had been trained for this for many years.
"Activating Interstellar Gate."
"Activating world bridge system."
RUMBLE
Space and time warped like never before. Even from Gaia, Rui could sense the sheer magnitude of the warping of space and time itself. It was so astronomically beyond what even he could have possibly achieved without the Martialverse that not even he wanted to miss the moment of the creation of the wormhole.
He watched with his Transcendent Gaze as the very fabric of space and time was warped beyond all fathoming, even as Pioneer I moved closer and closer towards the Interstellar Gate. The very fabric of reality was stretched for light years as negatron matter ripped a hole in the very fabric of reality, opening it at the other end, brought right adjacent to it with the warping of space and time itself.
And then, the wormhole was formed.
It had been timed to form just a moment before Pioneer I approached it, allowing the ship to pass through it into the other side. From the other side, the bright light of the native star system of Serun I, the name given to it by the Panamic Space Organization.
Rui knew it to be the Alpha Centauri System from his life on Earth. In hindsight, if he had paid more attention to astronomy, perhaps he could have realized that Gaia was Earth, although he also didn't have the requisite knowledge to actually recognize any constellations or familiar signs.
In seconds, Pioneer I passed through the wormhole.
WHOOSH
The wormhole shut down after it passed through. And just like that, the mission had been a success.
"WOOHOO!"
"Congratulations!"
"We made it!"
A thundering round of applause emerged from the crowd before him as they stood up in a standing ovation. Celebrations lit up in the air across the entire continent at what was a rather simple yet momentous occasion.
Pioneer I had been in geostationary orbit outside Gaia just moments ago.
Now, it was four-point-two light-years away in an entirely different world altogether. It would explore uncharted territories and gather information with surveys and scans, unlike anything it had seen before. It would expand their reach into the universe, potentially creating a colony of human beings on a separate world that would form its own civilization.
The video being streamed upon the giant screen behind him shifted to display another stream. A video being streamed from the front sensor of the Pioneer I in the Serun I star system. Suddenly, they had live access to footage from an entirely different star system, an unfathomable distance away, intensifying the celebrations in the crowd and press before him. The information was being transmitted to micro-wormholes that were much easier to sustain, even across light years. At just a millimeter in diameter, it was trillions of times less energy-consuming than the Interstellar Gate, and could transmit a decent amount of information considering how dense information technology had gotten.
Rui turned towards them with a proud smile. "Citizens of Kandria, Panama, and Gaia, we have just become an interstellar civilization."
His words caused an even greater surge in energy and vitality in the people before him, causing even greater phenomenological uniformity. Rui's eyes lit up as he beheld an intensification in the phenomenological uniformity. He watched it grow stronger, creating an even more powerful force in the information dimension.
It was truly an incredible amount of power. And yet, it was beyond his reach. His eyes lit up with even more certainty about the nature of progress within the information dimension.
He understood more of what he needed to do, although it was something that he would have to save for later.
His attention shifted back to the stream of Pioneer I in an entirely different star system as he watched the ship conduct its protocols of evaluating its immediate surroundings. It had been instructed to secure itself as the highest priority upon entry. Its energy shield was active at its strongest, mean to ward off asteroids or meteorites that might immediately collide into it. It was not possible to know exactly what existed at the point of passing in the Serun I star system. Pioneer I immediately increased its shields and other defenses while conducting a short-range scan of its environment in the vacuum of space. After securing its immediate safety and assessing its immediate environment, it began conducting scans at increasing distances. It would soon conduct a deep-dive scan of the entire star system, assessing its anatomical structure, before deploying spacecrafts to do close-up scans and collect samples, all while returning the data back to Panamic Space Organization and analysis.
Soon, its destiny in Serun I would be determined.
