Getting access to Gaia's life equation was undoubtedly one of the most challenging parts of creating a Gaian Seed that could automatically terraform planets into Gaia's offspring. Gathering all that information accurately and precisely and distilling it into an equation of life was going to be impossible under normal circumstances.
However, they had Rui.
Each and every single person in the room knew that he had abilities that were beyond fathoming for anybody else. Everybody believed that he could get his hands on all the information describing Gaia, even if that information was undoubtedly going to be extremely taxing.
And yet, he had already committed to it. For Rui, it wasn't a matter of whether or not he could do it, but rather whether he was willing to put in the time and energy that it would take to map all the essential information describing Gaia, and then distill it into an algorithm that described the entirety of the life of Gaia. "It will take even me months, however," Rui remarked with a knowing tone of voice. "But…"
He turned back towards the projection of the gargantian seed, sharpening his ethereal eyes.
"I will endeavor to get you the information at the very soonest. In the meantime, make sure everything is ready to get going the moment that I'm done."
WHOOSH
He teleported away in the blink of an eye.
One moment, he was in the manifold; the very next moment, he found himself in outer space. As a Martial Transcendent, his ability to extricate himself from the space-time manifold that bound everybody else was unrestricted. He could freely enter and exit it as if the manifold didn't even exist, thanks to his mastery of the negatron matter.
He hovered weightlessly in outer space as he beheld the entirety of Gaia in all her vastness. The sheer beauty of his home planet never ceased to amaze him, no matter how many times he got a good look at it. "We're going to need your information to create a life equation for you," Rui remarked with a serious tone of voice. "It's sort of like… existential DNA for you. It will take me time to scan your entire existence, of course."
RUMBLE
The planet seemed to be willing and even eager. After all, she had an opportunity to create an ecosystem of conscious planets that she could communicate with. The reality was that the conscious planet was very lonely, for she generally had very few conscious entities that she could communicate.
"The more you cooperate, the smoother this will go." Rui closed his ethereal eyes as his mind dove deep into the information dimension, poring over her entire existence as he rapidly began recording her very existence. His mind and soul surged with power as he boosted his cognition to the astronomical heights that he could. He activated the Gene Realm, adaptively evolving his cognition to be as speedy with information processing as he could. And yet, even with his colossal mind, processing all of this information wasn't something that he could do on the spot. He had committed to seeing it through to the end before he looked away from the task. Even as he stored and processed the information of Gaia, he learned more about the planet and everything that she had gone through. He found her actively cooperating with him, sharing with him information that he himself hadn't seen before.
He saw how Earth had been infected with the virus.
A powerful flaming meteorite that implanted itself into the planet, eventually terraforming it to be what it was that day: Gaia. At the same time, he found himself learning more about what the planet's journey through life had been.
It hadn't always been conscious and sentient.
That had happened after it had been infected. Its sentience was a consequence of the alien virus. And it was only after she gained sentience that she had understood what was happening to her.
And she had taken measures to try to stop it.
"And among them was me."
The most successful measure of them all, perhaps. She had begun to slowly manipulate circumstances to have individuals within the Panama Continent eventually contribute to the break-out of the continent and into the true world, thereby exposing esoterics and allowing everybody a full view of all the pieces of the puzzle to understand exactly what was happening with the real world.
Ultimately, she had managed to manipulate events to lead to her emancipation from the alien virus. Although they had learned that the threat was so much more vast than they could have ever imagined.
"This universe needs to be emancipated."
He still had no idea how he was going to do that, or whether it was even possible. Or whether it was even necessarily something that he needed to do. But regardless, if he assumed that the alien virus was a threat to everything that he loved and cared about, then he would have to get rid of it.
"For that, we will have to get stronger, Gaia. As a civilization, our people will need to get stronger and learn to protect themselves, and I…" He clenched his fist. "I will need to get stronger in order to face powers beyond our wildest comprehension."
He pushed forth, gathering the information comprising her very being and existence, distilling it into an equation of life that would serve as her DNA for the cosmic expansion into the stars. His consciousness washed over her very existence, dragging back with it information. Like the waves of the ocean splashing upon the shore, dragging sand with it back to the ocean, he scaled her existential information.
The constraint, of course, was none other than his mind. Even with conventional cognitive boosts, he was still limited compared to the universe of information that comprised the existence of Gaia.
It was a constraint that, if he didn't overcome, he would end up spending more time than he cared to.
"I need to increase my cognition to an even greater degree."
Once he decided, it was to be.
