Chapter 4264: An Astronomical End

This chapter is updated by JustRead.pl

To say the Strehegeld Star System was in an abnormal state was an understatement. The pathwalkers aboard the many spaceships watched with astonishment as Strehegeld II, one of the red dwarf stars of the binary star system, had become a giant quaking flamethrower, spewing massive attacks of plasma that spewed into outer space.

In one direction.

Towards a single target.

The Divine Mother of the homoarachnoids spewed an onslaught of web to protect herself from the attacks that emerged from the red dwarf star. The webs formed an iron-clad shield that she enhanced with the Webverse, increasing the strength of the web of their chemistry, making them almost indestructible.

And yet, the solar flares kept mounting.

They kept spewing.

And they kept getting stronger.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

She withstood the attack even as the calamitous clash between the plasma and her webs created a collision that shook the entire star system. A collision that tore the fabric of space and time like it was wet paper. A destructive attack with so much power that even an Administrator needed to exert herself to protect herself.

’He’s evolving quickly!’ The chilling realization dawned on her as she looked at how efficient the incoming attacks were.

He didn’t need to pour power from his Martialverse to increase the power of the attack, not at all. The power of the star was so great that it required very little probing to get it to generate the kind of power that he needed.

Rather than significantly expending the power of his Martialverse to make the attacks more destructive, he used it to simply make the changes in reality needed for scattered and chaotic solar flares to be turned into concentrated and focused attacks that targeted her and only her.

Plasma was Water. He used his Martialverse to make minute adjustments to the way it flowed, allowing solar flares to flow like a river in a concentrated manner. He used his Martialverse to alter the speed of light, allowing the plasma to flash towards his opponent in seconds rather than entire minutes.

He simply calibrated reality enough to allow the red dwarf star to directly attack her, forcing her to expend significant power just to defend herself.

’At this rate, he will get me.’

The Divine Mother knew that she had to do something, otherwise she would run out of power sooner than he would.

The solution, however, was evident.

’If he’s going to use the power of the star to fuel his attacks instead of his Verse, then so must I.’

With one hand, she defended against the astronomically destructive solar flares that Rui channeled towards her.

On the other hand, she used her Webverse to mount her own attack.

Not a web attack, no.

She pointed her hand towards the star before making a slow, crushing gesture.

’Gravity is a web.’

RUMBLE!!!!!!

The red dwarf star started shaking violently.

’The gravity within a star is a web.’

RUMBLE!!!!!!

The red dwarf started glowing brighter and brighter.

’The gravity at the very epicenter of a red dwarf star is a web.’

RUMBLE!!!!!!

The very fabric of space and time began to collapse as the star grew denser.

It grew smaller.

It grew more compressed.

By the same gravity that pressed on it.

Her six eyes flared with intensity as she deployed half of her Martialverse towards increasing the strength of the web of gravity, increasing the strength of the web of the gravitational pull that pulled matter closer and closer.

This caused the rate of nuclear fusion within the star to suddenly spike as more and more protons fused into helium nuclei, and helium nuclei into lithium. The sheer speed at which the red dwarf star generated power increased by nearly an order of magnitude!

RUMBLE!!!!!!

The star halved in volume while becoming ten times as bright. No longer was the light it emitted red. The light from the star became a pure and bright white. The radiation it gave out was unlike anything else that had ever come from the star; it become more intense and of higher frequency.

The pathwalkers who fled towards the edge of the star system gaped as they watched a red dwarf star morph into an even smaller white dwarf star.

"What..." Arastia spoke with a shaky tone of voice. "What kind of power is this?"

Her blood-red eyes were filled with disbelief. She couldn’t even hide the sheer shock that she experienced on her face.

Not a single person could.

They simply watched with astonishment as the Divine Mother effortlessly compressed an entire star with her power, even as she defended herself from the increasingly intense solar flares.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!

Each with the power to utterly disintegrate an entire solar system.

Yet, not a single one of them could overwhelm the power of her webs, strain them as they might. The sheer intensity of the solar flares that poured against her webs had only grown stronger with her maneuver. But she knew that she had gained more than she was withstanding.

Her six eyes flared with unfathomable intensity as she continued her slow crushing motion with her hands.

RUMBLE!!!!!!!!

The star continued compressing.

It continued growing smaller and smaller.

It continued growing denser and denser.

To a dangerous extent.

RUMBLE!!!!!!

The color of the star shifted from white to an intense blue. The solar flares it emitted were straightforward streams of some of the most intense matter in the entire world.

A planet’s worth of quark-gluonic plasma blasted against her webs with each solar flare.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!!

The sheer power of the attack exceeded a very, very high threshold.

The tensile strength of her Transcendent webs.

SPLAT!

One of the web strands snapped as the quark gluonic plasma managed to seep in through the webs, burning the golden fur and the outer layer of her flesh with extreme intensity. If not for the fact that she applied her Webverse to enhance the fascial connective tissue, even that little leak would have utterly annihilated her.

And yet, she didn’t stop.

She couldn’t.

If she stopped, then she would undoubtedly be the loser in this exchange.

She needed to push it through to the very end.

Her six eyes flared with extraordinary intensity as she completed the crushing motion of her hand.

"Goodbye, Rui Quarrier."

RUMBLE!!!!!!!

The star compressed passed a critical threshold, shining with blinding brightness.

And then, it exploded.

The Strehegeld Star System shone with the brightness of an entire galaxy as one of its stars erupted in a catastrophic supernova.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!
