This was a thought that had occurred to him the moment he had learned of it. Dwight had confirmed that String Theory was at least partly true. Apparently, the three dimensions each had many more dimensions curled up inside them to such an extent that they resembled one dimension to beings such as himself. The analogy that was often used to help understand how this was possible was to consider looking at a thin wire from a distance. At a distance, even that three-dimensional object resembled one dimension. An ant or a squirrel walking on a wire would only be able to move back and forth on the wire along one dimension, even though the object itself was three-dimensional.
It was postulated that such a phenomenon was occurring with the three dimensions of reality as well, except to a much more exaggerated extent. The dimensions were curled up on such a tiny scale that one would have to break the Planck length in order to access these dimensions.
Clearly it was possible, considering the arakai had mass-produced an artificial substance that relied on the properties of hyperdimensional reality.
Rui was not knowledgeable in String Theory. In his previous life, the theory was far too disconnected from his specialty, and he didn’t even touch on it in his physics degree. In his current life, he had never felt the need to study up on the theory because it was so theoretical that it was hard to imagine it would be useful in a battle, unlike quantum mechanics, which was a very empirical field.
He had already come up with a basic principle that could serve as a model for leveraging hyperdimensional reality.
Prothanite was stronger because it used the hyperdimensional components of the strong nuclear force. Essentially, the strong nuclear force was divided across twenty-one dimensions. The arakai compressed all of that into three dimensions, causing it to be vastly more powerful in those three dimensions.
Given that the strong nuclear force was universal, he could deduce that all matter and energy had hyperdimensional components.
Just like every object had an x-axis, y-axis, and z-axis component, it was very likely that the same was true for higher dimensions. Another additional eighteen letters could be assigned for eighteen additional higher dimensional components. He could already think of several theoretical ways to use this fact.
What if he could do to his attacks what the arakai had done for prothanite? What if he could draw out the components of his attacks that existed in these higher dimensions and use them in the existing three dimensions? What if he could leverage the higher dimensions as a vector for attack? Or as a dimension for maneuvering?
After all, even if they had defenses in the material realm, those defenses likely did not extend to their hyperdimensional selves; they likely didn’t fight with higher dimensions in mind, and based on what he could see with the SOUL model, they likely weren’t able to sense higher dimensions like Dwight could.
Hyperdimensional Martial Art.
The very thought of it set his heart on fire with a passion that he hadn’t experienced since discovering the Corporeal Realm and creating Autocorpus.
This was the path forward.
A new Realm of power that he couldn’t even fathom.
RUMBLE!!!!!
In the depths of his mind, the Forge of Creation blazed with life and power.
It had but one goal.
To tap into this new power to help him survive and escape.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
His attention was drawn back to the battle as he vomited blood. —ooo— grinned as she ravaged his abdomen with a critical blow, breaking his ribs. Her muscles were super-strengthened with her amplified Webverse.
She was shocked that his body had managed to withstand such a horrific beating for as long as it had. But an amplified Verse eventually broke down all of the countless trump cards that Rui had created over the years.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
Each attack brought him closer and closer to death. His body had become a bloody, gory mess that didn’t resemble what it was before. The Armor of Flowing Wisdom, although not entirely a physical construct, was also flickering. The moment the armor broke, their Webverses would dominate his mind, potentially controlling him to stop.
The Divine Mothers knew this too, causing them to intensify their attacks. They were in the final stretch of the battle. If they could just break that armor, their probability of victory would be almost 100%!
Greed overtook them as they viciously attacked, pressuring the Emperor more and more. They could almost imagine freely using their Administrative power without any constraints, living like true goddesses in this universe. They could imagine wiping out human civilization in the blink of an eye and utterly dominating both the dessandrites and the aquadites.
An era of conquest and unparalleled glory could occur if they succeeded in capturing him.
Wound after wound, his body grew more broken. Weaving blood had evolved to transcendent heights in the century that had passed since its creation long ago when he was a mere Squire, but even this miraculous technique had been pushed to its absolute limit, healing slower than the damage that was being inflicted.
His movements grew sluggish. His offense had completely collapsed. The Divine Mothers discovered that his body had even grown weaker after his eyes started glowing red, much to their incomprehension.
And yet, it didn’t change the trajectory.
It didn’t change the destination of this battle.
A thorough and overwhelming victory.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
A final blow ravaged his bloody body, causing it to hover weightlessly in outer space. The end was all but nigh; they could sense with their Webverse that he was almost unconscious.
"You. Fought. Well," —ooo— couldn’t help but sincerely praise her opponent. Unlike most of her sisters, the Divine Mother was a true warrior who had created her own martial arts style. She admired the Martial Artists of human civilization and admired the Emperor of Water for his Martial prowess, for it astronomically exceeded hers.
But they had won nonetheless.
Her web-stinger pulled back before lunging towards him, all but ready to inject him with an incapacitating web fluid.
That was when it happened.
BZZZT
His body glitched.
It glitched out of reality.
WHOOSH
The moment her web stinger touched his body, it disappeared.
No warning. No pain. No sensation.
It simply ceased to exist.
Even in the information dimension.
—ooo—’s six eyes widened with horror.
"WHERE. DID. MY. STINGER. GO?!"
