Chapter 4604: Hyperdimensional Motion

This chapter is updated by JustRead.pl

Rui’s little voyage in finding solutions for each problem he ran into had led him through a convoluted set of hoops and rings, but he had finally managed to get what he wanted. His initial goal had been to harness hyperdimensional physics, which he had achieved with the help of Legislation.

Then he was confronted by the fact that his body disappeared as a price of the Martialverse, squandering the effort he had put into altering its laws. He needed to find an inexpensive way of mass-producing Martial Bodies with altered laws. Legislation was expensive, however. Legislating even one body took all of his phenomenological stamina. The more information a target contained, the more expensive legislating it would be, limiting how many bodies he could legislate.

That was why the solution of chilling matter to absolute zero was a brilliant one that completely solved his problems. The colder an object was, the less entropy it had. This was the third law of thermodynamics. And at absolute zero, it had almost zero information whatsoever, making it much easier to legislate a large swath of matter at this temperature.

Rui grinned as he altered the laws in the absolute-zero organic matter that he had gathered. He altered the boundary conditions with the equations that he had developed with Professor Seonard Lusskind, allowing this matter to become hyperdimensional.

RUMBLE

The moment it did, however, the temperature of the condensate rose greatly, losing its field-like properties of matter-energy and returning to its original chemical composition.

"I see," Rui remarked with intrigue. "Heat is flowing from the hyperdimensional components of the condensate, causing it to warm up."

It didn’t matter since this happened after he had transformed it into hyperdimensional matter. He had already achieved what he wanted from reducing its temperature. He watched with curiosity as he observed the transformation of the matter as it settled to room temperature. Observing how these chemicals and elements acted once they gained access to their hyperdimensional components was certainly interesting. However, from what he could tell, aside from the altered laws of the boundary condition, the matter acted in accordance with expectations.

One thing that had changed was that the quantum fluctuations from the base dimensions could enter the higher dimensions and vice versa. Part of him was concerned about opening a new vector of attack through hyperdimensional matter, but he put aside the concerns since the ’gate’ between the base dimensions and higher dimensions was his body. Anything that wanted to get through would have to overcome him and his body.

He was confident in his power, especially after becoming hyperdimensional. His combat potential had risen so much beyond what it was prior that he would be able to crush his prior self in battle with just the difference that this variable made.

Of course, just because he was confident didn’t mean that he discarded all the risks that came with the higher dimensions.

"The higher dimensions are a whole other unknown universe."

That was a good way of thinking about them that stated the sheer significance of their existence. They were an unknown universe unto themselves, not merely mirrors of the three-dimensional world.

"Besides..." his attention turned back to the higher dimensions with a deep gaze.

Gazing into the higher dimensions was no different to him than looking around in the base universe. Except he was looking around at strange dimensions that resembled an X-ray vision of reality. Some dimensions seemed like a thermal view of the base three dimensions of reality, while others seemed like ultraviolet views. Others were made out of shaped darkness.

However, while they were extensions of everything that existed in the base dimensions, it didn’t mean that everything in the higher dimensions was a mirrored extension of three-dimensional reality.

He spotted wisps, flickers, blobs... and other strange existences that didn’t have any three-dimensional correspondence. In other words, they were existences that existed only in the higher dimensions and not in the lower dimensions.

That made him profoundly wary.

"It’s possible that there are lifeforms that exist only in the higher dimensions."

Not only that, it was entirely possible that there were entire civilizations that existed only in the higher dimensions. After all, everything had a higher-dimensional equivalent, including stars and planets.

It was a danger vector that they were entirely unaware of. Thankfully, it didn’t seem like this was a likely problem or a threat, given that he had never heard of any exclusively higher-dimensional threat attacking the lower dimensions. Not even the memories of O-o-o-o that he had skimmed contained the knowledge of any such threat.

He shook his head, putting the abstract matters away, before returning his attention to the immediate situation around him.

He had enough law-altered matter to create a hundred hyperdimensional Martial Bodies. He would never have to worry about the scarcity of law-altered Martial Bodies ever again. He quickly created new Martial Bodies from the organic matter in the reservoir with the help of the stem cell he had detached earlier, before transferring his consciousness to one of his new law-altered Martial Bodies.

"Now, it’s time to get busy with mastering hyperdimensional Martial Art." The ethereal eyes of his new Martial Body blazed with anticipation as he donned his Martial attire, tightening the black belt around his plain white Martial overcoat.

He had already spent a lot of time just overcoming the basic obstacles to spamming law-altered Martial Bodies. Now that he had stabilized the logistics of that situation, he could finally get around to mastering it. He immediately teleported to an isolated chamber, heaving a deep breath.

He took a stance that resembled Kane’s maneuvering-oriented Martial Art. This was not without reason. The first thing that he wanted to master was hyperdimensional motion. This was the most interesting aspect of hyperdimensional reality.

The relationship between three-dimensional reality and higher dimensional reality was similar to that of the relationship between the surface of the sphere and its volume, except the ’disparity,’ so to speak, was even more extreme.

The shortest distance between any two points on the surface of a sphere was a straight line digging through the sphere. However, to two-dimensional beings living on the surface of the sphere, the shortest distance would be a straight curved line, known as a geodesic, between the two points. This perspective was limited by the limitations of two-dimensional beings who couldn’t perceive the tunnel that could be dug through the sphere to reach their destinations quicker.

Rui’s situation was similar to that of a primitive two-dimensional being, until very recently.
