Chapter 934: Virelass’ New Abilities 1 [Kofi Bonus Chapter ]

Asher couldn’t help but smile at this. Seeing Virelass’ abilities evolve brought him genuine joy. Her evolution was his evolution, as he could use her abilities whenever he wanted, and she too could use them.

1. Position Marker — The rapier allows the Host to teleport instantly to any of ten marked locations. No cooldown. Unlimited range. Requires no Astra. Immune to spatial interference.

New (1): The Host can now also mark a point by himself with a touch without needing the rapier. However, such an ability comes with a restriction, requiring one second of activation before teleporting the Host to the location he himself marked, while also remaining immobile during that duration.

New (2): The Host can teleport people to marked locations with a single touch without having to teleport alongside them.

2. Astra Veil — The rapier passively stores up to 100% of the Host’s total Astra reserves, preserving energy for any moment.

New (1): The Host can now use 100% of the Astra Energy stored within the rapier to unleash a devastating attack without needing to transfer the Astra Energy back to himself first.

New (2): The Host can now also transfer Astra Energy stored within the rapier to another being, be it Human, Emovira, Monster, or Beast, as long as they originally possess Astra Energy.

3. Crimson Pact — The rapier passively absorbs the blood of defeated enemies, using it to regenerate the Host’s injuries without conscious activation.

New (1): The rapier’s regenerative ability can now purify poisons, toxins, hallucinogens, venoms, neurotoxins, rot, injury-based curses, and heal minor soul damage.

New (2): All blood absorbed by the rapier has its potency and Vitality increased by an entire grade and rank.

New (3): The amount of blood and the purity of blood required to heal the Host are exponentially reduced unless the Host suffers a critical blow or a fatal injury]

Asher was stunned as he read through the new abilities and the changes Virelass had undergone. To call them ridiculous would have been an understatement. Anybody who knew about these abilities would simply cough up blood from sheer jealousy.

Asher felt like throwing his head back and laughing like a madman. Who wouldn’t be excited after being blessed with such absurd abilities?

’No wonder those otakus and weebs back on Earth always fantasized about reincarnation and transmigration,’ Asher thought to himself. ’With cheats and abilities like these, who wouldn’t want to reincarnate?’ Asher mused inwardly.

’I might need to leave a five-star review for the Reincarnation and Transmigration Headquarters website or app if they have one,’ Asher smirked at the thought as he completely forgot that he was currently standing before the gazes of thousands of people.

The system flashed before Asher’s eyes, immediately snapping him out of his thoughts and amusement. He stared at the notification for a brief moment before dismissing it entirely, not even bothering to guess who was responsible for the intrusions. There was simply no need to. They were never going to obtain any information from him.

He already knew it wasn’t Emperor Zolthemir Lux Vanthelmor. The man wasn’t foolish enough to attempt the same thing twice. Besides, Asher had already concluded that the Emperor’s Mind Manipulation ability required physical contact as one of its activation conditions.

With that, Asher continued what he had been doing without a care in the world. As long as nobody made a direct physical move against him, everything remained perfectly fine. And as for Malrik and Azaron not sensing those intrusions, if they actually could, then people wouldn’t have been manipulated by the Emperor from the very beginning.

Against individuals like that, only powerful artefacts could truly help, or possessing a stronger mind and soul than theirs.

The first improvement was Position Marker. Previously, Virelass had always needed to make contact with whatever Asher wished to mark before he could actually place a marker upon it. But now, that requirement had been eliminated... though not entirely, as he himself would need to remain still for one second before the ability fully activated.

Although one might think that Asher now possessing the ability to mark locations by himself rendered Virelass’ role in this aspect completely obsolete, only a fool would think so. In high-stakes battles, a single second was enough for hundreds, if not thousands, of things to happen.

How could anyone expect Asher to activate this ability and then simply stand there like an idiot while waiting to teleport? During that single second in which he remained immobile, his enemies would erase him from existence countless times over. Therefore, Virelass’ ability to instantly mark locations remained just as indispensable as ever.

One might then question the usefulness of this new skill if the user had to remain immobile for an entire second before activation. But once again, only a fool would think that way.

Besides, the system had stated that Virelass could maintain ten marked locations. It had never stated that Asher himself was also limited to only ten. For all he knew, he might personally be capable of creating an unlimited number of marks.

Of course, that was merely speculation for now. He would eventually have to test the ability himself. Perhaps his own personal limit was included within Virelass’ restriction of ten marks. Or perhaps it wasn’t. He might only be capable of maintaining one, three, or some entirely different number of personal markers.

At the end of the day, only experimentation would reveal the truth.

The second new skill under Position Marker was an absolute game changer. Unlike before, when he had always needed to teleport alongside the people he was transporting, just as he had done countless times with Lyra, he could now teleport anyone to any marked location with nothing more than a single touch. The best part was that there didn’t appear to be any limit to the number of people he could teleport simultaneously.

Although it required physical contact and he technically only possessed two hands, only an unimaginative fool would restrict themselves to such simplistic thinking. He could simply instruct multiple people to place their hands on him, which would effectively count as him touching them. With that alone, he could instantly teleport all of them to safety while he himself remained behind on the battlefield or wherever else he happened to be.

But Asher couldn’t help thinking of something else. It wasn’t exactly a loophole, but rather another possible hidden application of this second new skill.

Could he teleport multiple people to multiple different marked locations simultaneously?

Suppose ten different people were touching him while all ten Position Markers had already been established. Could he send one individual to one marker, another to a different marker, and continue until all ten people had been teleported to completely separate destinations at the exact same time?

It was certainly an application worth considering.

Previously, such a thing had been completely impossible because he himself always had to accompany the people he teleported. Since he obviously couldn’t split himself into multiple places simultaneously, everyone had always arrived at the same destination alongside him.

Asher couldn’t suppress the excitement welling up inside him as he considered that possibility. If it worked the way he imagined, then the strategic applications would be nothing short of extraordinary. He couldn’t wait to put the ability to the test.

But that would have to wait.
