Chapter 942: Time Particles

This chapter is updated by JustRead.pl

"I see," FatelessPen stated, as he already understood why Asher was asking for a Time Dilation Chamber.

He couldn’t help but smile. He had been present during Asher’s speech. He was pleased to know that Asher hadn’t become arrogant simply because he had won a once-in-two-decades tournament. Instead, the young man was already thinking about training and preparing for whatever was to come, assuming anything actually did happen.

’Too bad I never thought of something like this during my early days,’ FatelessPen mused to himself. The idea of a Time Dilation Chamber had never once crossed his mind until Asher mentioned it.

Although, even if he had thought about it back then, he probably wouldn’t have possessed enough Astra energy to draw such a thing into existence and repeatedly abuse it, so in the end, it didn’t really matter.

FatelessPen already knew that, for him to draw such a chamber, one had to already exist somewhere in reality. However, he wasn’t about to reveal such a weakness of his ability to Asher, as nobody willingly disclosed the weaknesses of their own abilities. Although even if he did reveal that weakness, it couldn’t truly be exploited the same way the weaknesses of most other abilities could, he still saw no reason to mention it.

FatelessPen also knew that even if such a Time Dilation Chamber truly existed, creating it would probably drain every last drop of Astra energy from his body.

But this was where another feature of his ability came into play.

If a Time Dilation Chamber capable of creating a one-year-inside-to-one-day-outside ratio existed somewhere in the world, FatelessPen didn’t necessarily have to recreate it with those exact specifications. He could instead modify the concept and create a Time Dilation Chamber where one week passed inside while only a single day passed outside.

So, as long as such an object existed somewhere, FatelessPen could alter it to suit his own needs.

"I won’t guarantee anything, but let me try first," FatelessPen stated as he looked towards Asher.

Asher nodded and said nothing more, fully understanding that every ability possessed its own limitations.

FatelessPen couldn’t help but wonder whether he should place the Time Dilation Chamber within a separate space, just as Cindralis had hidden Star Academy inside its own isolated dimension. A smile appeared on his lips as his soul-bound pen materialized within his hand and immediately got to work. He instantly tapped into his ability as Astra energy rumbled calmly through his Astra veins.

Asher watched as space twisted before him before suddenly shattering like fragile glass. The shattered fragments inverted upon themselves before swallowing both of them whole. The next moment, he found himself standing inside the separate space FatelessPen had created.

FatelessPen’s soul-bound pen moved once more as he began to draw with an excited smile. Light immediately flooded the separate space as what resembled a brilliant sun appeared high above. Trees rapidly spread across the landscape. Vast fields of grass burst from the earth. Lakes, rivers, mountains, and streams all manifested one after another as FatelessPen’s hands danced effortlessly across reality itself, he even drew oxygen into existence.

Within only a few minutes, FatelessPen had completely recreated Cindralis’ separate space.

Asher stood there, utterly stunned. He floated in midair as his eyes slowly wandered across the newly formed world around him. He had always known FatelessPen possessed the ability to draw things into existence, but witnessing such a massive creation unfold before his own eyes caused him to marvel at the ability even more.

He slowly descended until his feet touched the ground below. Lowering himself, he reached out and touched the earth beneath him before closing his eyes and taking a deep breath. The oxygen felt no different from the oxygen outside.

’Truly a busted ability,’ Asher thought as his gaze swept across the forests, mountains, lakes, and flowing rivers.

The entire space spanned nearly three thousand kilometers in radius, providing more than enough room for Asher to freely unleash the Star Stanza without having to restrain himself in the slightest.

FatelessPen could have made it even larger, however, he was deliberately conserving his Astra energy, he would need every bit of it for what came next. Creating a Time Dilation Chamber wouldn’t be something simple.

Just as FatelessPen was about to begin drawing the Time Dilation Chamber, he suddenly paused, a new idea surfaced in his mind.

Why draw an entirely separate chamber inside the space? Why not simply transform the entire separate space into the Time Dilation Chamber itself?

As stated earlier, FatelessPen wasn’t restricted to creating a literal chamber. He could simply modify the entire separate dimension and impose the desired temporal properties upon it.

With that thought, an enormous, almost terrifying quantity of Astra energy erupted from his body. The overwhelming pressure crashed into Asher like a tidal wave. Caught completely off guard, his body was blasted backward before violently slamming into the invisible boundary of the separate space. A sharp pain shot through his back as several of his bones shattered upon impact..Fortunately, Virelass immediately began regenerating the broken bones.

Asher’s purple eyes widened in complete disbelief as he sensed the amount of Astra energy currently pouring out of FatelessPen, he simply couldn’t believe it. The only thing Asher had ever witnessed that surpassed this overwhelming amount of Astra energy was the immense Astra energy contained within the Fruit Of Dawn.

’So this is the amount of Astra energy a Crownstar Life Ranker possesses...’ Asher thought to himself.

He knew that even if his own Astra reserves were multiplied a hundredfold, they still wouldn’t come close to matching the sheer quantity FatelessPen was releasing.

FatelessPen paid Asher no attention whatsoever. He already knew the boy was alive, and an injury of that level would regenerate without issue.

His soul-bound pen danced gracefully between his fingers with astonishing dexterity as he began drawing time particles into existence, a wide grin spreading across his face.

For an artist... Inspiration was cocaine.

One time particle appeared. Then another. Then another. His pen continued moving as more and more time particles manifested. His Astra energy steadily disappeared in real time as thousands... then millions... of time particles gradually came into existence.

Once he had finished creating them all, he immediately began fusing them into the separate space while simultaneously establishing the governing law.

One year inside the separate space... One day outside.

The entire separate dimension violently trembled, FatelessPen’s Astra energy reserves began disappearing at an astonishing rate.

His eyes narrowed, he immediately realized that bending time to such an absurd extent simply wasn’t possible with his current Astra reserves.

Without hesitation, he halted the process, hiis pen moved once more as he altered the governing rule.

This time... One week inside the separate space would equal one day outside.

’Fuck! Time particles are such a pain in the ass,’ FatelessPen cursed inwardly as he felt his Astra reserves rapidly approaching depletion, and he still hadn’t succeeded.

’But to think a Time Dilation Chamber actually exists somewhere out there...’ FatelessPen thought to himself.

’It must be one of the artifacts left behind by the Old. If anyone in the present era possessed something like this, they would already have accumulated enough power to rival someone like Azaron... or even one of the Sinvaira.’ His thoughts continued.

’Although I might be exaggerating a little. Even if you locked a pig or a dog inside a Time Dilation Chamber for centuries, they wouldn’t suddenly grow wings and start flying.’

Another idea suddenly flashed across his mind.

FatelessPen’s ability allowed him to impose conditions and limitations upon everything he created.

For example, he could draw an object into existence while establishing the condition that only a specific individual could ever use it. Likewise, he could impose a rule that once one of his creations had fulfilled its intended purpose, it would immediately disappear from existence, after all, anything FatelessPen drew into reality could remain there permanently without continuously consuming his Astra energy to sustain it.

By adding appropriate restrictions and conditions, he could dramatically reduce the Astra energy required to manifest certain creations.

And in doing so... he could sometimes bring into reality things that would otherwise have remained completely beyond his reach.
