In another direction, the Eighth Moon, Olivia, could be seen standing with her own soul-bound weapon, but it was something everyone would never have anticipated or even thought that a Wargrave would awaken.A broom.
When Olivia had first awakened this, she had nearly sunk into depression. It was as though the universe was mocking her in some way. After all, she had awakened an overpowered affinity, then gotten a broom as a soul-bound weapon.
Of course, it goes without saying that her siblings had teased her endlessly till this day, often suggesting to their father, Azaron, that he fire the maids and butlers who cleaned the Manor and allow Olivia to clean the house. That way, her broom could be put to good use.
Of course, it was all jokes to them, but to Olivia, this was a serious issue. After all, anyone would pay top coin to watch a Wargrave swing a broom.
And as for her awakened affinity, it was Time.
She could manipulate time however she saw fit if she trained hard enough.
It was as though the universe was trying to balance such an overpowered affinity with a broom. After all, one couldn’t get two good things back to back... well, aside from people like Malrik.
But she wasn’t the only one in this. Even Ezekiel was disappointed when he awakened the Water element and a staff as a soul-bound weapon. He felt that both didn’t suit each other, but he didn’t complain much and simply went straight to training with what he had gotten.
Till this day, Olivia’s nickname amongst the Wargraves was ’Broomy’, which Mary, being her direct elder sister, had given her.
All Olivia wanted to do was strangle the living daylight out of Mary’s face when she was nicknamed Broomy, but alas, she was weaker. What could she have possibly done at the time? She could only endure until she was strong enough to win against everyone with her Time affinity and end the Broomy nickname.
Standing before the Eighth Moon were her own enemies. There were two of them. As she was at the Radiant Wavestar Life Rank and yet to step into the Voidstar Life Rank, she couldn’t take on more than two Voidstar Life Rankers, and that was because they were even at the Dust Voidstar Life Rank while she possessed Time affinity, allowing her to close the gap easily.
Unlike the other Suns and Moons, who were already at the Voidstar Life Rank.
Olivia stared at her opponents for a moment before her broom appeared on her shoulder. It was like any modern-day broom, with just a handle and a bristle of brushes at the end.
Seeing the broom on Olivia’s shoulder, her two opponents arched an eyebrow as familiarity dawned upon them.
"A broom? It seems our opponent is Broomy," ’Q’ stated as he couldn’t help but laugh.
’P’, who was standing beside ’Q’, joined in the laughter. "So the rumors were true. A Wargrave really awakened a broom as a soul-bound weapon. Hahahahahaha!" he laughed.
’Q’ followed up as he spoke, "I wonder if her broom can eject the dust it accumulated after sweeping." His tone was a bit mocking.
The smile on Olivia’s face vanished. She had been happy to fight, after all, this was like a family fighting trip. But now, these idiots had touched her deepest sore spot.
She removed her broom from her shoulder, her eyes turning cold as Astra energy stirred in her Astra veins. With a booming force, she shot forward as the earth beneath her feet was blasted backwards under the force of her motion.
She arrived before ’P’ first. The moment she appeared, her broom spun in her hand as she swung the broom’s head at ’P’s temple with wicked force, as though she wanted to end him instantly.
But ’P’ was a Voidstar Life Ranker. He wouldn’t be so easily taken out. He simply leaned backwards ever so slightly as he dodged. The moment he dodged, he turned on his heel and unleashed a high backheel kick towards Olivia’s head with catastrophic force.
Olivia’s broom spun in her hand with dexterous movement as she blocked with the handle of her broom. The impact was devastating upon collision, but she didn’t take a step back.
’Q’ moved, his sabre singing towards Olivia’s neck from behind, his own speed greater than hers as he hadn’t even boosted himself with Astra energy. Olivia’s eyes snapped towards the attack. She knew she couldn’t dodge, as she naturally didn’t possess such speed.
Her Astra energy boomed from her Astra veins as her own time hastened. She increased the flow of time for herself, and with that, she moved, her body bending with impossible flexibility as she dodged, then backflipped ten times as she put distance between herself and her enemies.
The moment she dodged and moved, ’P’ moved again as he was a master hand-to-hand specialist. His Astra energy surged through his body and into his fists as he unleashed a barrage of air cannon blasts towards Olivia.
Olivia, who had created a distance earlier as she dodged, moved, her broom rising to the occasion as she spun it in a circular motion, meeting every air cannon head-on without taking a step back.
’Q’ arrived in a blur, his speed too fast, faster than before, as though he was picking up the tempo. As he arrived before Olivia, he unleashed over a thousand slashes in a matter of a single second.
Olivia’s eyes narrowed. She started to suspect that ’Q’s ability was superspeed or something similar. She accelerated time for herself yet again, not bothering to meet the attacks head-on, as her body blurred in between the spaces between each attack.
The moment she dodged the last attack, she swung wildly at ’Q’s neck with bone-shattering force. But ’Q’ simply raised his sabre and blocked as though it was the easiest thing in the world to do.
’P’ immediately appeared behind her with a grin on his face. His hand rose towards the sky, then he brought it down with immense force as he performed a martial chop with his hand, his attack streaking towards Olivia’s shoulder as though he moved to sever her hand from her shoulder.
Seeing the incoming attack, Olivia deflected ’Q’s sabre to the side, then stepped to the side as she allowed the attack to tear through the place she had been. And with ’Q’ standing before her and ’P’ behind, due to her dodging the attack to the side, a straight line of wind pressure tore directly into ’Q’s body.
But as Olivia had suspected, ’Q’s ability was indeed superspeed, as the wind pressure closed the distance, his perception stretched as he simply stepped to the side with an indifferent expression and watched the attack pass ever so slowly.
Olivia was also on the move. She didn’t just dodge; the head of her broom met the ground as she hoisted herself with it, the sole of her foot slamming into ’P’s side.
But ’P’s senses were just too sharp and precise. His instincts kicked in as he raised a forearm, and Astra energy concentrated upon the point of contact as he took on the attack.
With a booming sound, his body launched sideways. Although he had tanked the attack, he still hadn’t completely canceled the momentum and force.
’Q’ closed the distance again, but Olivia was ready this time, Astra energy flowing into her eyes as she saw a second into the future while simultaneously increasing her own speed through Time. The moment ’Q’ attacked, she completed her own motion before the man completed his. Her broom slammed into his neck with wicked force.
The impact shattered the sound and wind barriers alike as ’Q’ shot sideways, his neck bending as it cracked. As his body shot through the air, he, who had suffered a broken neck, immediately healed as his superspeed also gave him enhanced regeneration.
He twisted and landed on his feet with a look of shock on his face. He couldn’t help but wonder how Olivia had reacted to his speed.
’Is she adjusting to my speed?’ he thought to himself.
The next moment, he decided to increase his speed even more just in case. But the moment he had that thought, Olivia was already before him as though she was the one with superspeed. But no, she had simply transferred herself to this point in time through Time Travel, using it to achieve speed that was even faster than teleportation.
She swung her broom in a wild arc, the handle slamming into ’Q’s stomach with wicked force. The man shot backwards like a cannonball, his eyes filled with pure shock.
’P’ was on the move to help his teammate who had received two attacks in a row. But Olivia simply turned around and waved her broom, the bristles of her broom becoming pointed and shooting forward from the head of the broom as though they were darts and senbons.
’P’ didn’t dare take it on as he didn’t know if these bristles were poisoned or not. So he simply halted and dove to the side.
