Chapter 1053: Disappointed [GT Ranking Bonus Chapter]

Hearing Azaron’s words, their eyes widened in shock. A one-on-one lesson from Azaron was a lesson so many people would give up a limb and organ for, and now they were getting it for free. Their souls trembled in pure joy as they immediately bowed and spoke.

"We thank the Primarch for such an opportunity," their tones filled with sincerity.

Azaron walked forward and patted their heads as he spoke, "No need to thank me, just learn well and don’t join the dark side no matter how tempting their offer sounds," he stated with a smile, then added, "See you all at the training ground in two years," he stated in finality before turning and walking away.

Zarek smiled for a moment before he followed behind Azaron with calm strides. Lyra, who was also standing there, simply closed the door, and the moment the door snapped shut, William spoke.

"That’s it, I’m never washing my head again." He touched his head as though some sort of god had touched it.

Ryaen stood in silence as she wondered how much she could improve from a one-on-one lesson with a man like Azaron. Although her own Father was also a Crownstar Life Ranker, everyone knew that Azaron stood on a separate plane of existence that made other Crownstar Life Rankers look like Faintstar Life Rankers.

Asher, who was standing opposite them, simply shook his head as he spoke, "You guys might come out of that spar more traumatized than anything," his eyes shifting to the clock as they had only ten minutes left.

Finch shook his head as he replied, "You wouldn’t understand, after all, he’s your Father. You’ve practically been seeing him every day for the past nineteen years, and you can spar with him anytime you wish."

Asher stayed silent, not correcting Finch. After all, four days ago was literally the first time he had ever sparred with Azaron. Besides, he guessed that Finch must have misunderstood his earlier statement as him sparring with Azaron regularly.

"Let’s move, we have only ten minutes left. If any of you get expelled, you might as well say goodbye to the spar he promised you," Asher mused as he walked towards the Teleportation Scroll he had left on the nightstand.

William and the rest snapped out of their thoughts. Transferring their luggage into their Space Rings, they took their Teleportation Scrolls and tore them in half.

"See you later, Lyra," Asher’s voice echoed as he and the others vanished in a flash of white light.

Lyra, who was standing outside, could only smile at Asher’s words. With Asher gone, she headed towards her room, changed into her battle suit, and headed to the Mission Hall to take a mission, but one of higher caliber to match her new strength. Just because she was strong now didn’t mean she was going to stop.

Asher, William, Finch, Ryaen, and Vaelric appeared within what seemed to be a large room, while around them, other students stood. The moment they appeared, more students continuously appeared in flashes of white light.

Their eyes moved to the front, where various students were being searched, their Space Rings, their bodies, and everything else inspected, which wasn’t surprising as it was simply standard procedure. Soon, it was Asher’s turn, and needless to say, he passed through easily as only clothes were in his Space Ring.

The man who searched him looked at him as he spoke, "At the Event Hall, there will be an announcement in two days. By 10 a.m., be there, don’t be late. There will be no classes until after." The moment he was done speaking, his eyes left Asher as he focused on the next students.

Asher followed the door that was at the side. Stepping out, he walked forward for a while before he came to a stop. He closed his eyes and took in a deep breath as he let the breeze brush past his skin and clothes.

’It’s been a month since I’ve been here,’ Asher thought to himself, and he wouldn’t lie, he kind of missed the Star Academy.

Soon, Ryaen and the rest of the gang were out, and together they started walking towards their building.

"What do you think the announcement at the Event Hall is about?" Finch asked as he walked.

William replied calmly, "Obviously, it’s about Asher winning the tournament. They just want to give us today and tomorrow to rest and adjust back to our Academy lifestyle before we begin anything," his answer logical.

Finch nodded and said nothing else.

As they walked, various people stared at them and pointed... well, not at them exactly, but at Asher, as he became the centre of attention. But none of them showed any reaction as they had all been used to attention since they were little.

Upon getting to the building, they bid farewell to Finch as he was the only one amongst them who wasn’t on the topmost floor. Then, upon getting to the topmost floor, Asher bade farewell to the others as he stepped into his room.

But unlike what one might think, Asher didn’t sit on his bed or look around his room. Instead, he went straight to the living room and sat down as something had been pricking at his mind for a while now.

He wanted to know what rank the End-class Monster blood had evolved into, as it would give him a clue about what the next rank was. He just hadn’t had time to check since he had been with Azaron and his friends since Virelass drank the blood.

He unsheathed Virelass and immediately began to ask her. But Virelass simply hummed, she was clueless as she didn’t know what Asher wanted from her. Asher could only sigh as he understood that Virelass hadn’t suddenly received any System Panel of information or knowledge, so there was no way she could know.

’Hey, System, a little help here, can you tell me what rank the blood within Virelass’ storage evolved into?’ he asked the System, as the System always seemed to have answers.

[Ding]

[The System has no access to the blood Virelass stores. Even if the System did, the System wouldn’t know, as the System only works with information the world has, which is the Whisper-Class to End-Class Monster ranks. The System isn’t omnipotent or all-knowing]

Asher sighed disappointedly. He simply collapsed back into his seat as he stared into space like a defeated man, his excitement from earlier vanishing as he could only accept his fate and do nothing about it.
