Lyra walked behind Asher in silent steps, wearing a slight smile on her face. She wouldn’t lie; she liked what Asher had done by commanding her to end Viscount Raymond. When they were at the Raymond Viscounty, she had felt like erasing Viscount Raymond from the surface of the planet, but she could never truly do it; it wasn’t her place. She was only a maid, so she showed no reaction nor took any action.
In fact, when she got to the Raymond Estate, she sensed the Knight Commander from earlier walking towards the Viscount’s room with six young boys who seemed barely above twenty were there.
Although she felt like killing such a man by drug overdose was mercy, she knew it would have to do; she had an order to carry out, regardless of her own thoughts. And after spending time with the Swig family, she also loved the fact that the Young Master had saved them, as well as other potential future victims.
Remembering the time the Young Master had bought various resources for Blackstone and a few other Villages after his mission, her smile couldn’t help but become more apparent. She also remembered him helping that child whose mother was sick after he introduced himself as Batman, although she didn’t know how he had come up with that name. Then there was him putting coins in his pockets and allowing children to rob him just so they could put food on the table.
Although the Young Master hardly showed any signs of being a saint or anything of the sort, these few kind acts warmed Lyra’s heart. She wished the Young Master would do more of these things in the future.
And the cherry on top? Her personal power and competence. When the Young Master had gone to the Capital for the first time for the Royal Twin Party, they had gone with various Knights. Even when they had gone to the Auction House where he bought a pebble, they had gone with the Wargrave Vice Commander.
All this was because she was weak.
But now, now... she was enough. No more squads, no more additional help.
If it was in the past, she knew that the Young Master would have ordered someone else to take out Viscount Raymond, but now, the Young Master relied on her.
’Should I create an information network?’ Lyra thought to herself as she walked in silence.
Although she didn’t know if the Young Master would ever need it, she considered it in earnest. She could just create it and only use it when the Young Master needed it, even if it was once a year. Although creating such a force and not using it was a waste of coins and resources, she was rich now; she didn’t have to worry about money.
She shook her head and decided to focus on her missions for now. She needed to grow stronger for the time being. If she relaxed and focused her energy on another thing, the Young Master might become as powerful as her, then he would start needing the Knight’s help again.
She had to stay ahead.
With that thought in mind, she asked as they walked, "Young Master, do I continue taking missions from the Wargrave Mission Hall?" She asked as she knew that Asher had graduated with Teo Swig and he would be spending more time at the Wargrave Estate like he did in the past.
Hearing Lyra’s question, Asher fell into his thoughts for a moment. He had graduated, meaning he would be needing Lyra at his side at all times. He wasn’t going to spend months at the Star Academy anymore, which gave her enough time to take on various missions.
After thinking about it for a while, he replied, "Not for now, but very soon, I will be entering seclusion for a couple of months, or a month and a few weeks, I don’t know. At that time, you can take up missions. We can’t slow your growth for too long," his words were thoughtful.
Lyra nodded as she spoke, "I understand."
"And also," Asher continued, "whenever I come out from seclusion, we will be heading to a Frontier, so if you have any personal preparations to make according to any information you have or any rumours you might have heard, make them," he instructed without his steps slowing.
Hearing Frontier from the Tenth Sun, all Lyra heard was danger and death. Her eyes couldn’t help but flash with a certain light. She now had another reason to train and become stronger even faster. To her, there was no time. After all, she had heard other maids and butlers gossip about the Frontiers and Outposts. Although she wasn’t sure how true these gossips were, it was best to be prepared for anything.
’Break through to the Crownstar Life Rank by the time the Young Master is back,’ she set a goal for herself.
Although it might sound unrealistic, she could possibly do it with her current talent now that she had gotten from the End-Class Monster.
’Not only that, train all my techniques to match my current power,’ she thought as she walked silently.
"All preparations would be made and ready by the time you are out, Young Master," she replied to Asher.
Asher, who was walking ahead, simply nodded his head and said nothing else. Although he could head straight towards the Frontier, he decided to first train for around a maximum of three months or so; he hadn’t exactly fixed an exact duration.
Since he was going somewhere so dangerous, he might as well train first before heading there. He knew his combat prowess wouldn’t suddenly leap into the Soulstar Life Rank when he was out from training; maybe, at most, he would be able to match a Dust Voidstar Life Ranker without help.
’Although I cultivated for the past one week, I haven’t broken through. I still need to cultivate, maybe get to the Radiant Firmstar before I leave,’ he thought to himself.
He didn’t know how long that would take. After all, the stronger one became, the harder it was to progress. Although his cultivation speed was insanely fast, he still knew the speed was reducing with each breakthrough, although it still remained relatively fast.
He pushed open the door of his room as he stepped in, heading towards the bed to sit for a while before he began training in earnest.
Lyra, who was standing at the door, spoke, "Young Master, should I help the Swig family find a good deal in respect to the house they want to purchase?"
She knew how expensive houses were here, and how brutal merchants were.
"No need," Asher replied flatly, "my Brother will take care of it," he stated.
Lyra nodded, then turned and closed the door.
Asher’s phone appeared from his system inventory as he remembered that Arianna had texted him earlier, but he had been too busy, moving from the graduation to talking with Malrik, then to Teo Swig. He didn’t have the time to reply until now.
{World Girl: Sorry, I couldn’t reply since my Father and I were returning to the Velkarin Empire, although we are back now}
{World Girl: How was your trip? Hope you didn’t die on the way after we fought and killed a Dust Voidstar Life Ranker}
{World Girl: Also, if you text me, I might not be able to reply fast, as the Empress would be parading me around like some Mascot of some sort just because I came second place and displayed more power and talent than she thought I initially had}
{World Girl: Also, since I have this magical dagger of yours, do you want to come to any of the events? People would probably lose their minds when they see you. That way, I can get the attention off me}
{World Girl: Well, as the winner, you must be going through your fair share of being used to generate attention and money}
