Chapter 1111: Layers Of Space 2

This chapter is updated by JustRead.pl

The reason why the lower half of his body had vanished was simply because he had teleported. He had just understood how to walk without being thrown into a spatial rift or being thrown to his death, how could he suddenly manipulate unstable spatial fluctuations to the point of teleportation?

He had gotten careless and nearly killed himself just because he learned how to walk. He couldn’t help but imagine if it was the upper half of his body that had been lost within the folds of unknown space.

’But how can I teleport without risking my own body?’ he thought to himself in silence as he stood in the broken valley.

This was his current dilemma. Although he had the Photon Clone, the Photon Clone was limited to just using Light-based attacks since it was literally made out of photons. Maybe it would possess the ability to use other abilities after he visited the Light training room.

Besides, he couldn’t even use the Photon Clone if he wanted to, as a different element couldn’t work in a different training room.

As he fell into his thoughts, he suddenly had an idea. Why bother when he could just do this for portals?

He could create a portal, or rather, two portals, one from point A, the other bringing one to their destination at point B. Of course, the portal might not work, but then he would gain more information from there and refine his teleportation to match this place.

And when he finally succeeded, he wouldn’t enter immediately, he would throw a rock inside, and when it came out of the point B portal safely, then he would try boulders, then one of the trees here before he would risk his life again.

Just because he wasn’t exactly afraid of death didn’t mean he would die with open arms.

And after achieving these, he would create new skills, starting from him entering a different layer of space.

With that, he got to work. Astra energy flowed through his Astra veins as he created a normal portal, but the moment he opened it, it instantly collapsed, exploding outwards as a gravitational burst blasted outwards.

His instincts kicked in as he erected a Spatial Wall that shielded him. The gravitational blast wave slammed into the wall, while the rest erased the valley he stood on. But Asher didn’t fall, he simply remained afloat through Spatial Manipulation as he didn’t need to fly through his Perfect Astra Energy Control.

He floated to another broken valley and landed as the Spatial Wall vanished. He created another portal, but this time he took it slowly as he worked according to the unstable spatial fluctuations readings he obtained earlier when he was learning how to walk here.

Walking and opening a portal were two different concepts, so it was a bit hard to adapt the unstable spatial fluctuations readings to the portal. It was hard, not impossible, as he achieved it within two hours.

’Phew! Done with the first portal,’ he heaved a sigh of relief.

He didn’t relax, he immediately got to work and started working on the second portal, trying to connect the first to the second, which was easier said than done. He couldn’t help but smile at his trial and errors, after all, this was something he could do in his sleep, yet here he was spending an hour on it.

But at least, this guaranteed that even in an unstable spatial fluctuations area, he would be able to move without restrictions.

But one had to know that there were different scales of spatial fluctuations. For example, the battle between Azaron and Threshold I that created unstable spatial fluctuations that prevented teleportation and any spatial manipulation was more powerful than the unstable spatial fluctuations Asher was experiencing. After all, this room was tailored to his current level, not to the level of Azaron and Threshold I, as those were beings who stood at the peak of the world.

Asher would simply die if he existed in their unstable spatial fluctuations.

Besides, unstable spatial fluctuations stronger than the ones Azaron and Threshold I created actually existed, they were enough to tear a planet like Crymora apart.

After a couple of trials and errors, Asher succeeded, only taking him a couple of minutes to link two portals since he already got the hang of the first portal. His talent was simply too remarkable as people would spend weeks and months here just to barely make any progress.

As he had planned, he threw stones, threw trees inside, and they all came out perfectly fine, showing that the connected portals were perfectly normal. With everything fine, he took a step forward, but as he was about to step forward, he paused again as he fell into his thoughts.

If he could create Photon Clones, what was stopping him from creating Spatial Clones? There was no restriction that said he had to do only Photon Clones, so why stop there?

He took a step back and decided to create a Spatial Clone, and with his knowledge of the Photon Clone and his current spatial understanding, it wasn’t hard as he perfected it in mere ten minutes.

The Spatial Clone stared at the real Asher for a moment then spoke.

"So you just created me because you are afraid to die, huh, Mr. Real Body?" The Spatial Clone asked.

Asher gave a shrug as he replied, "Don’t overthink it, you are sort of an immortal anyway, so what’s there to fear?"

The Spatial Clone stared at Mr. Real Body then shook his head as he stepped into the portal without a shred of hesitation as though he understood just how Mr. Real Body behaved. As the Spatial Clone stepped through the portal, he stepped out from the other side perfectly fine and with no body part missing.

Seeing this, Asher nodded his head in satisfaction.

"Chicken," the Spatial Clone spoke as it vanished.

Asher didn’t bother with the Spatial Clone and just stepped through the portal, then stepped out the other side. Appearing at the other end, he heaved a mental sigh of relief. With that, he shifted towards teleportation, perfecting it in a couple of minutes.

With that done, Asher shifted to traversing a different spatial layer.

But before he even started, he hit a huge roadblock. If the Void existed between each layer of space, how was he supposed to peel off the first layer of space, cross the Void, then step into the second layer of space?

He stood silent for a moment staring at the permanent spatial rift as he seemed lost in thought as though searching for inspiration in things that weren’t there. But as he stood there, his brain seemed to finally come up with something... dangerous yet again.

Since the Void existed between space and teleportation was simply the shrinking of space and moving through it, didn’t that sort of mean that through each teleportation everyone came in contact with the Void?

And since nobody had ever had an insane complication like the Void eating them alive or something like that... didn’t that mean that the Void between the first layer and second layer of space was... harmless?
