Chapter 1116: Weightless Abyss

He rose to his feet, took out another fresh set of clothes from the system inventory, and changed into them. Flames burst from his feet as he flew towards the peak of the volcano he had left about an hour ago.

Entering the deepest part of the volcano, he continued his training. Time continued to pass ever so slowly as three weeks passed yet again.

Asher stood silently as some sort of bright orange energy enveloped him and danced around him as though he was using Malrik’s Solar Energy, but he wasn’t. His Astra Energy had simply taken on the properties of the flames within the Flame Sea.

Asher had to admit, this place had been incredible, literally in every sense. He exhaled as the Astra Energy enveloping him vanished. His head rose towards the sky, another three weeks gone. His departure date was getting closer and closer.

Flames erupted from his feet as he shot upwards like a bullet, his form reaching the black smoke that made up the cloud. He entered it, but there was nothing special about it like the Lightning room. The clouds were just smoke, nothing else, with pure Flame Elements churning through them that painted the sky bright orange.

He floated down as he took in the space before him. A couple of days ago, he had tried to eat within the volcano he had been sitting in, but the moment he took out his plate of food and wine, everything burned into cinders.

Asher couldn’t understand how his food could burn, but the clothes he wore couldn’t. He sighed and shook his head, reminding himself that he didn’t need to understand this place as it was an artefact.

With that thought in mind, he shot through the air as he flew towards the door. As he flew, he couldn’t help but wonder if he had ever flown through the air with fire surging from his feet before. Probably not.

Arriving at the door, he opened it and stepped out with a sigh. Asher stood there for a couple of seconds as though adjusting to the normal world. He didn’t immediately dive into the next training room; he had to settle his mind and ready himself.

After about half an hour, he rose to his feet and walked towards the next training room, which he chose to be the Gravity room. Stepping in, Asher felt the weight of Gravity brush past his senses. But unlike the other training rooms, where things were serious from the start, the Gravity room wasn’t like that.

While he stood at the door, Gravity seemed normal and perfect. But the moment he stepped forward, Gravity began to increase ever so subtly, but Asher wasn’t focused on that right now. His eyes were on the new place and environment.

In a random direction, trees that lined up in that direction were bent backwards under the pressure of Gravity, their branches, leaves, and crowns touching the ground as though trying to rise again would make them snap instead of them snapping from bending.

As he walked forward, he had no choice but to use his own Gravity affinity to offset the Gravity of his current location. Around Asher, he could see various immense boulders floating in the air as though they could never touch the ground again, and at some distance, some were drilled into the ground as though they could never rise again.

In some areas, in some places, Gravity was simply erratic. It was normal one moment, then crushing the next. As Asher walked, Gravity pulsed as it shot various boulders towards him, proving the unpredictability of this place. He simply halted the boulders midair through Gravity, without dodging.

After gazing around the Weightless Abyss for a moment, he shifted to training. He first of all started training his control over Gravity, but he didn’t spend too much time on that as he started training his base Gravity multiplication. But he didn’t stop there. In places where Gravity was reversed, he undid the reversal as he and the Weightless Abyss started fighting for control over Gravity.

This was one of the ways to improve that he had come up with. Yes, he would obviously lose against the Weightless Abyss, but that wasn’t the point or goal. The goal was to see how the Weightless Abyss manipulated Gravity, then copy it and use it against the Weightless Abyss.

In the places that had Gravity multiplied to various degrees, he would return Gravity to normal at such locations. There, he would go into another battle with the Weightless Abyss.

A week passed as he spent it all doing just this, never resting for a single moment. As for how his Astra Energy could keep up, it was simple. Once he was out, Virelass would supply him, then he would continue. Virelass would restore her own Astra reserves, then pump it into him yet again.

He basically did this across all the training rooms whenever he ran out, Virelass constantly siphoning Astra Energy and feeding it back to him.

In the second week, he shifted his training to increase the power behind his current abilities. After witnessing the collapse of a portal that unleashed the power of a gravitational force, Asher had noticed he had been underestimating the power of the Repulsion that came under Gravity. After all, that gravitational force blast that the collapsed portal unleashed was basically the same as Repulsion.

But he had never used it with full power. He had never unleashed it without restraint. In fact, he had never used it at all. But he would try to change that from now on, especially with him entering the battlefield. He could use it to wipe out a large number of enemies.

With that, he got into work mode. He upgraded past skills, then started creating new ones. The first skill was Gravitational Compression. Instead of simply making something heavier, he concentrated gravitational force into a specific thing, then unleashed it again as another wave of catastrophic madness and blast.

Two weeks passed yet again as Asher remained within the Weightless Abyss, but he was getting to the end of his cultivation journey as he didn’t have to spend three weeks here.

He sighed after a day had passed and rose to his feet, another element trained. Only one more was remaining at the moment, the Light affinity, and after that, he would head to creating his Sword Techniques and other techniques.

His body vanished, his form blurring into reality yet again upon a gigantic boulder that was suspended midair. There, he sat down and ate his food as he hadn’t eaten for the past two weeks. He allowed Virelass to restore her Astra Energy reserves, then, after eating, he started cultivating to restore his own reserves as he had been relying on Virelass for months now.

A couple of hours passed before the two of them were done. His body floated into the air as he flew using Gravity, his destination the door. Stepping outside, Asher did the usual: sit down for a moment, adjust his mindset, and go through everything that he had learned to see if he had missed anything.

"I wonder how the outside world is," he murmured aloud.

"I hope a war hasn’t erupted between the Empires," he mused as he rose to his feet. He shook his head as he continued, "I shouldn’t jinx it."

With that, he stepped into the last training room, which was the Light.
