Chapter 1179: At The Tunnel

He felt like pulling down the curtain and seeing what lay behind the curtain and punching whoever was behind it.

’Is this how girls on Earth used to feel when they wanted to gossip about something but didn’t have enough information on the situation?’

He thought to himself as he sighed. He shook his head as he decided to stop having such useless thoughts. But then, another question echoed in his head;

Why now?

Why didn’t the Sinvairas make their move since? Why didn’t they make it last year, or even two years ago? Why just two months ago?

’Maybe because they’ve only just confirmed the location of what they were searching for?’

He guessed, his head rising as he gazed at the ceiling with a wondering mind and expression. But no matter how much he wondered, he could never know anything for sure. Those Sinvairas weren’t so easily seen through.

He shook his head as he decided to stop thinking about it. He couldn’t do anything about it; it wasn’t like he knew the location of whatever the Sinvairas actually wanted.

But maybe if he told Azaron that the Sinvairas wanted something, hence the reason for the War, the man might know something. After all, people as powerful as him always seemed to know secrets that other Crownstar Life Rankers definitely didn’t know.

’Everything will reveal itself later.’

He concluded to himself.

With that, he turned around and stepped out of the chamber where the Grand Regent resided, as he had nothing more to do here.

’I wonder if Arianna’s Father would be joining the War.’

Asher thought to himself as he walked, his eyes landing on various Velkarin Soldiers as they walked past him without sensing him. Although Azazel couldn’t be forced to participate in the War, he couldn’t help but believe the man might participate for the fun of it, and Emperor Zolthemir would be forced to either reveal a card of his or ask Azaron for help, which Azaron might accept since his opponent was Azazel.

’I should ask Arianna what her Father’s ability is the next time I meet her.’

Asher thought to himself as he made a mental note. After all, he was curious about how the man got the title; Black Disaster.

Asher walked down the hallway with a calm expression. He walked past a door where the three Regents gathered and discussed random things.

’Since the Commander and Vice Commanders would be here anytime soon, I should reduce their numbers or drag them here personally.’

He thought to himself as he concluded.

When the Commander and Vice Commanders wiped out the Grand Regent and the three Regents, the news of the underground bunker wouldn’t be found out, as the Grand Regent would be too dead to send out any messages. After all, she was the only one who seemed to be able to communicate with the others.

So, wiping them out first before spreading the word to other Frontiers was the best thing to do.

But he didn’t know any way to achieve what he wanted to do. Three million Soldiers were a lot, so a single attack that could at least wipe out half of them was what he needed. As he walked, an idea came to mind, not exactly an idea, but Lyra would determine if this would work. With that, he walked in the direction of the large tunnel.

Arriving at the large door, he stepped through it as though it wasn’t there. This was the tunnel that the Velkarin Empire used to smuggle their Soldiers. Asher didn’t stop; the moment he entered, he took a step and vanished, his body disappearing into the darkness as he closed a thirty-kilometer distance.

The moment he closed the distance, he stopped, the next moment, his body appearing within the First Layer Of Space. Seeing this, Lyra didn’t speak; she simply deactivated her own ability.

The tunnel where the Velkarin Empire smuggled their Soldiers from wasn’t made of the same silver metal as the underground bunker. It was just pure rocks and stones, and ambient Astra Energy, although it was minuscule. But it didn’t matter; it was enough.

The tunnel where the Velkarin Empire smuggled their Soldiers became the only safe haven within this underground.

The moment Asher and Lyra appeared, Asher immediately tapped into the Astra Camouflage skill he had copied from the tiny golem he had fought in the first round of the Inter-Empire Tournament.

As he tapped into the skill, the minuscule Astra Energy in the air around them hummed ever so gently, then wrapped around them. Their bodies vanished as they seemed to merge with Astra Energy itself.

Although the Grand Regent’s and the three Regents’ senses might not reach here, he still decided to be careful, hence why he had gone thirty kilometers deep into the tunnel. Although such a distance was still too small compared to the scale of their strength, Asher didn’t want to go any further, just in case the Velkarin Empire had left something here as a failsafe.

Yes, the tunnel stretched for millions of kilometers, but one could never be too careful.

"Lyra, I plan to wipe out all the Velkarin Soldiers at once."

Asher immediately spoke, not wasting time. Although he spoke, his lips didn’t move as he communicated telepathically with Lyra, still cautious.

Lyra stayed silent for a moment before she spoke.

"What do you need from me, Young Master?"

She stated telepathically, unbothered by the death of millions, as their deaths were just another Monday morning to her.

"As you already know, Astra Energy can’t work within the silver metallic underground bunker, which is why I came here."

Asher began to speak, his purple eyes staring into Lyra’s black ones as he explained what he needed.

"So, in order to wipe out most of the Velkarin Empire Soldiers, I need something akin to bombs, like an Astra Energy bomb, or any Artefact that can cause immense destruction to wipe out many of them."

He paused for a moment without breaking eye contact, then continued.

"Of course, I understand that these Astra Energy bombs or the Artefact might not be powerful enough to wipe out the powerful ones like the Voidstar Life Rankers, but it doesn’t matter. Just wiping out the fodders would be enough, and if it’s powerful enough to affect stronger people, then that’s even more perfect."

He explained as he talked about killing millions like they were nothing. But at the end of the day, he had already killed over a hundred people before today. Just because their numbers increased this time didn’t mean he would hesitate.

Besides, they came here with the thought of killing a Wargrave. Although he had never interacted with the Third Great Elder before yesterday, it didn’t matter. Family was family at the end of the day.

They could only blame themselves for choosing the wrong opponent.

Lyra nodded as she didn’t waste time thinking, as she had just the perfect item her Young Master wanted.

She waved her hand, and from her space ring, over fourteen big black orbs the size of basketballs appeared. There were fifteen, each the size of a basketball. She didn’t drop them to the ground as she remembered the First Regent overreacting to a muffled sound and how they had a whole meeting about it.

So, they floated in the air with an ominous feeling.
