The Grand Regent’s senses screamed; she immediately turned as she reacted purely on instinct and reflexes. Her sabre rose swiftly upwards as she moved to block with the flat side of her sword. With a bang, Damian’s heels slammed into the blade with enough force to wipe out an entire Empire.

The Grand Regent felt the force travel through her body, her right shoulder immediately dislocating, but she immediately supported the blade with her left hand.

Using the blade as a platform, Damian leaped backwards as he performed a backflip midair. Before he could even complete the motion, his two fists shot out one after the other in rapid, blurry succession as he unleashed two air cannons through sheer physical strength and power.

She didn’t have to heal herself, as Crownstar Life Rankers possessed an insane innate regenerative ability. Her dislocated shoulder popped back into place as her left hand, now holding the sabre, split the two air cannons with extreme speed.

Her body shot downwards as her feet met the ground. The moment she landed, her Astra Energy came alive as she augmented her entire body and settled into a martial stance. Astra Energy flowed into the sabre as she activated her ability.

She had already been injured once, although it was just a shoulder dislocation; it could be her neck snapping next time. Her sabre hummed with immense power under the effects of her ability, its cutting power and everything else increasing as even space seemed to scream around the blade.

Seeing that the Grand Regent had used her ability, Damian didn’t hesitate, his Astra Energy humming as he walked forward, an excited grin appearing on his face. A mathematical symbol appeared on his forehead, the division (÷) symbol.

The moment the symbol appeared, the distance between him and the Grand Regent vanished as he divided it by zero, hence erasing it. Arriving before her, the symbol on his forehead changed into the multiplication (x) symbol, the force behind his fist increasing dangerously as he punched outwards towards the Grand Regent’s head.

The Grand Regent’s own ability, Augmentation, flared as she augmented her speed, strength, and durability in tandem. And with a wicked swing, she swung her sword, her Augmentation ability augmenting the slicing properties of her blade.

With devouring, ruinous devastation, both attacks slammed into each other with frightening madness. Time seemed to halt for a moment as reality itself seemed to hesitate to let the impact from both of these attacks be unleashed.

But it couldn’t hold on for too long, as the next moment, the madness erupted into the world, consuming everything within a one-million-kilometer span, the degree of damage rising every passing moment.

Wind screamed, space split apart, and an earthquake beyond scientific magnitude and evidence erupted. The earth below them tore open as a sinkhole that seemed to reveal the plane’s tectonic plates.

The symbol on Damian’s forehead changed into a multiplication (x) symbol and a division symbol (÷) at the same time, as he wasn’t exactly limited to using one mathematical symbol or equation at a time.

Through the multiplication symbol, he multiplied his defenses instantly so as not to be affected by the attack, then, through the division symbol, he divided the power of destruction that moved to act against him and injure him.

Hence, coming out from the mass destruction unscathed. But he wasn’t the only one without injuries, as the Grand Regent had also come out without injuries.

When Damian had said that their abilities were similar, this was what he meant, as the Grand Regent possessed the ability to augment almost everything, just like how Astra Energy did, but with greater destructive capabilities.

Using her Augmentation ability, her speed spiked as she surpassed re-entry speed, her body moving as though it was about to blur out of reality itself. As she appeared before Damian, she unleashed a sword technique.

Damian watched as millions of black sword lines filled the sky, then collapsed upon his body as they moved to reduce him to mincemeat. His body and mind screamed to dodge. But he didn’t, his grin simply increasing as goosebumps of battle spread through his body.

"COME!!!"

He shouted in ecstasy as his own Astra Energy surged beyond proportion. It flowed into his fists, his Calculator ability coming alive as he activated the addition (+) and multiplication (x) symbols at the same time. He multiplied his speed and his attack, then added them together like a madman.

His two fists shot upwards with speed faster than anything the human eyes could follow or comprehend as fist-shaped attacks streaked upwards in pure destruction.

From above, millions of black sword lines. From below, millions of fist-shaped attacks. Each enhanced by various enhancement abilities.

And with a heavy shaking power, both attacks compressed into each other as a staggering explosion that surpassed anything nuclear weapons could match erupted with mind-bending madness and erasing power.

Everything within three-million-kilometer radius was torn asunder, annihilated beyond proportion as waves of pure destructive energy continued to surge outwards. Sound itself seemed unable to keep up with this scale of destruction.

Various sword marks tore into Damian’s body, his white Commander uniform ripping apart, his already enhanced skin tearing apart as blood flowed. From head to toe, his body was filled with slashes of various degrees that left injuries of various depths.

But the man didn’t seem to care; he simply held his shoulder with his arm and rotated his shoulder.

Before him, the Grand Regent had also endured her own fair share of attacks as her body was battered at the moment when Damian’s fist attack reached her. But she didn’t react, her face remaining stoic, her eyes brimming with killing intent.

Her Astra Energy hummed as she augmented her innate regeneration, the speed multiplying as the next moment, she was as good as new.

Damian had already done the same thing, his skin snapping shut as injuries vanished. His Astra Energy hummed once more as he instantly increased the gravity acting upon the Grand Regent as the multiplication (x) symbol appeared on his forehead.

The Grand Regent froze in her position, her Augmentation ability flaring as she augmented her entire physique to keep up with the pressure bearing on her body. But Damian simply increased it the moment she resisted.

This was the weakness of her ability that Damian knew about. If he was in her situation, Damian could just use division or subtraction to escape, but the Grand Regent couldn’t. She could only augment, and erasing or reducing things was not augmentation.

Damian appeared before her in a blip, the gravity not even acting on him as his own ability wouldn’t affect him.
