And with that, Asher had wiped out five thousand Velkarin Soldiers single-handedly without moving an inch. The Algorith Soldiers were stunned for a moment; they couldn’t understand what the fuck had just happened. They had been fighting their enemies to the death, and then suddenly, their enemies exploded like some sort of suicidal bombing maniacs.
Some Soldiers were thrown backwards by the force of the explosion, as while Asher could control the explosion, he couldn’t control the force and shockwave that came from it. Their bodies slammed into the ground as various groans escaped their lips, their bodies and minds registering the pain they had ignored through sheer willpower and the adrenaline coursing through their veins.
Some of the Soldiers looked around, their eyes fixing on Asher. They nodded in his direction as thanks, then immediately kept moving. Since five thousand Soldiers were now free, that meant five thousand backups.
But was it really backup when the backup was exhausted and no different from being half-dead? Yes, the wannabe Airbender had healed them earlier, but it didn’t matter if they were physically exhausted.
Astra Energy hummed from Asher’s Astra Veins, the Light Affinity coming alive as his body glowed golden yellow. The next instant, a golden-yellow pulse erupted from his body, slamming into the five thousand Soldiers within the three-kilometer radius before they could take more than a couple of steps.
The Soldiers immediately halted in their march as Asher’s Light Affinity healed them, their skin knitting shut, bones realigning perfectly, and shattered eardrums becoming whole once more. But not just that, their stamina began to return, their bodies filling with energy that had already been depleted.
The Soldiers’ eyes widened, their gazes turning to Asher once more in surprise. After all, people who could rejuvenate stamina weren’t exactly common. But they couldn’t stay for too long; they had to move.
Asher watched in silence for a moment as the Light Element around him vanished, as he was done healing the Soldiers.
’It’s a shame I couldn’t restore their Astra Energy, but at least now they have the strength to keep going.’
He thought to himself, then vanished from his position, his body appearing three kilometers away as he now had a new strategy.
Explode Soldiers of the Velkarin Empire within a three-kilometer-wide radius, then heal Soldiers of the Frontier, returning them to full health and stamina. Then repeat. That way, the advantage could stack.
He appeared in another direction, his body appearing within a group of Soldiers. He didn’t hesitate as he immediately exploded every single person, healed his own people, then vanished once more.
As he moved, Asher couldn’t help but wonder if he was turning into some terrorist of sorts. He had just bombed the underground bunker, and now he was bombing Soldiers, their limbs and heads flying off in various directions.
Although Asher was fast in his execution after the first move, there was no way what he was doing would go unnoticed; it was simply impossible. Although various sounds of explosions rang out at all times, people still paid attention to what was happening.
And the Velkarin Empire knew that someone was moving, or something was moving, against them and claiming many lives swiftly. They needed to shut it down, so the already precarious situation wouldn’t become even more dangerous.
Two Voidstar Life Rankers who were holding back a Voidstar Life Ranker from the Algorith nodded at each other. At the signal, one of them vanished as they raced in the direction where the explosions were going off.
The man from the Algorith Frontier they were holding back moved to block the Black woman who was about to leave. After all, he couldn’t just allow her to intervene with what the Tenth Sun was doing.
But before he could close the distance, the black man whom the black woman had been working with immediately interfered, not giving the Soldier any chance to leave. This was their chance to kill a Wargrave.
The woman closed the distance in an instant. She didn’t attack Asher; instead, she moved to reclaim the lives that had been lost to the Tenth Sun by wiping out various Zarethorne Soldiers. Her Astra Energy hummed around her, forming hundreds of thick whips. Without missing a beat, the whips lashed out with breakneck speed and wicked force, each one targeting Soldiers of the Zarethorne Empire.
The Soldiers couldn’t follow the attack. The woman was a Dust Voidstar Life Ranker; they simply had no hope.
But as the attack was about to collide, a man in a dark green uniform, a bald head, and black gloves covering his hands moved, his body releasing sonic booms as he tore through the sound barrier.
Time seemed to halt in his perception as his gloved fist met the first thick whip, which shattered into Astra motes, but he didn’t stay to admire it. He was already gone, his body moving between each whip as, within a matter of split seconds, he had erased each thick whip with ease.
The moment he stopped, a shockwave erupted, gale slamming into everything due to his sheer speed and the power behind each punch.
It was Saitama Silverleaf.
He stood in silence as he gazed at the sky, the Frontier jacket hanging on his shoulders, dancing to the rhythm of the wind.
The Black Woman stared back at him without a word. He simply pointed a finger downward at her, her Astra Energy coming alive again as she moved to erase him before she moved on to the Tenth Sun. She gathered a greater amount of Astra Energy this time, then unleashed a beam of pure destruction and power, aiming it straight at him.
Saitama didn’t move back or dodge. He clenched his fist as he lowered slightly, his right fist shooting upwards as he punched the insane beam, meeting it head-on with nothing but an expressionless face.
As his fist met the beam, the beam split perfectly in half, streaking past him in both directions, then exploded with catastrophic force. The explosion erupted beyond a five-hundred-meter radius, the shockwaves slamming into each other and shooting them backwards, but they survived.
Through the smoke and debris, Saitama could be seen, smoke hissing off his fist, but he remained uninjured, his gloves perfect.
The woman stared at Saitama from above, then lost interest. Although she would love to take him on, at the moment, some unknown bald guy wasn’t the Tenth Sun. She shot into the air, the sound barrier tearing as she moved towards Asher’s direction.
Asher, who was about to cause another explosion, instantly paused. He recalibrated as his palm shot outwards instead. And with a shattering roar, his palm met a fist aimed at his skull, stopping the attack dead in its tracks.
The Black Woman blurred backwards as she put some distance between herself and Asher. At that moment, a body tore down from the sky, slamming into the ground beside Asher with a booming force.
Asher looked down, and through the crater, Acker stepped out with a flat expression on his face.
Beside the Black Woman who had just attacked Asher, a man appeared, another Voidstar Life Ranker, the one who had attacked Acker after he prayed and healed the Soldiers.
In a blur, Saitama appeared beside Asher, as he had followed the Velkarin woman after her last attack because he wanted to make sure she didn’t sneak-attack another defenseless Soldier.
