And in that same instant, Saitama’s fist met her chest with the force of an exploding war drum. Zuri’s body shot backwards like a kite, tearing through the clouds. She wore a frown on her face, her body twisting as she immediately landed on another cloud.Another hand sprouted from her shoulder, the injury vanishing immediately like it had never existed. As for Saitama’s earlier punch, although she had lost her claymore, she had blocked it by channelling Astra Energy at the point of contact, thereby sustaining no injuries.
Saitama, who didn’t know where Asher was, shot forward to press the advantage, but before he could arrive, Zuri sensed something. She didn’t know what it was, but she reacted nonetheless. Her body twisted to the side, and the moment she moved, a gash tore open across her shoulder, Star Energy pouring into her injury.
But it didn’t matter now; she already knew what was happening. She vanished from her position in the sky, her figure blitzing into place upon a mountain as the injury snapped shut once more.
Asher’s body appeared beside Saitama, who was standing upon a cloud as he stared down at Zuri. Seeing Asher appear, he arched an eyebrow. He was sure Asher wasn’t simply using some invisibility skill or anything of that nature, as such a thing would be useless against his senses.
Asher had been within the Second Layer of Space. Since he couldn’t exactly defeat this woman head-on, he had hidden within the Second Layer of Space and always attacked from behind, as if he attacked from the front, Zuri would see him and react in time. After all, to attack her, he had to momentarily return to the First Layer of Space.
"Ready to take this up a notch?"
Asher asked as he stared at Zuri from above.
Saitama’s expressionless face finally turned into a smile as he replied calmly.
"Let’s go, Tenth Sun."
With smiles on their faces, both of them shot downwards at the same time. In less than a second, they appeared beside Zuri, a fist tearing in from the right and a rapier singing from the left as they attacked without hesitation the moment they arrived.
But Zuri didn’t move physically this time. Instead, her Astra Energy hummed around her as she activated her ability. After being injured twice, she had had enough of these two abnormal men.
From where she was standing, an incomprehensible chill erupted outwards, glacier ice moving to encase everything within a two-thousand-kilometre radius, with ice spikes tearing in every direction.
Saitama and Asher were speechless. They were barely centimetres away from landing their attacks, and now this had happened. Obviously, she had waited for them to close in before using her ability so there would be no time to dodge.
But Asher didn’t need to dodge. He simply vanished into the Second Layer of Space without missing a beat. However, he didn’t escape unscathed, as the glacier ice had split open half his waist and stomach, leaving his internal organs and intestines exposed before he vanished.
The attack had torn through his body and Star Energy like they were made of paper.
As for Saitama, he hadn’t been able to move in time, but he had done what he could do best. He had moved ninety percent of his stats from agility, speed, strength, perception, and stamina, pouring them all into constitution and vitality equally.
His body was encased in ice as the various ice spikes tore through his entire body, leaving him riddled with hundreds of holes. But the next split second, a Spatial Clone of Asher appeared above Saitama. The clone touched his head, and together, they vanished into the Second Layer of Space.
The following split second, Zuri’s ice attack erupted into pure carnage. It was a total blizzard as she transformed the entire landscape and terrain without even moving a single limb or muscle. Two thousand kilometres became frozen as snow fell from the sky and ice shards rained down, sweeping across the devastated terrain.
Within the Second Layer of Space, the Spatial Clone Asher had created before he vanished into the Second Layer of Space disappeared, leaving only Saitama and Asher. Although Asher didn’t know Saitama well enough to call him a friend, there was no way he was going to leave a comrade behind.
They had both been able to keep up for a while, but the moment Zuri had used her ability, she had inflicted critical injuries on both of them.
Virelass hummed as Crimson Pact activated instantly. Asher’s stomach and waist immediately sealed shut, his organs regenerating and stabilising as colour returned to his face. His eyes snapped towards Saitama, who was still breathing only because he had poured ninety percent of all his stats into constitution and vitality.
Asher blurred forward, his Star Energy humming as his Light affinity came alive. He poured the healing properties of Light into Saitama’s body, his injuries closing slowly but surely. Due to Saitama’s Physique, the injuries were somewhat difficult to heal and required more energy, but it didn’t matter, as Asher practically possessed infinite Star Energy.
After a couple of minutes, Saitama was as good as new. Having been lying on the ground, he shifted into a seated position, his stats returning to their normal range. His gaze shifted towards Asher, then he nodded without a word.
Asher held his shoulder, and together, they vanished, returning to the First Layer of Space.
Although he had talked about training to bring people into the Second Layer of Space, he had pulled it off without training due to the intensity of the battle.
"You guys are back."
Zuri spoke without a change in expression, as she had been waiting for them the entire time.
"Should we continue?"
She asked, a smile appearing on her lips as Astra Energy hummed around her body.
She vanished from where she stood, her figure appearing beside Asher before he could even take in his surroundings. Her claymore cut through the air, her speed, strength, power, and destructive capability all scaling as she enhanced herself with Astra Energy.
Before Asher could even react, a third of his face was split open from the side, blood splattering into the air as a portion of his head soared upwards. Then, without missing a beat, Zuri’s claymore blurred once more as she severed all four of Asher’s limbs before cutting him in half at the waist.
Blood splattered into the air, his limbs hitting the icy ground, his blood freezing the moment it touched the ice. She kicked Asher in the chest, his body shooting backwards as he slammed into an ice pillar at the side.
His body came to a stop, and he remained there motionless like a corpse.
Zuri turned her eyes towards Saitama, who stood frozen at the side as he couldn’t believe what he had just witnessed. By simply augmenting herself with Astra Energy, Zuri now stood on a different level of existence, one that Asher himself couldn’t match.
She appeared before Saitama, her fist tearing towards his head at blurring speed.
Saitama didn’t hold back. His Stat Allocation ability activated as he moved ninety percent of his stamina into strength, moved ninety percent of his agility into speed, and moved ninety percent of his perception into constitution.
His speed and strength surged to an unprecedented degree as he kept up with Zuri’s attacks. With an apocalyptic madness, both fists met head-on, and a roaring impact erupted across the battlefield. The icy landscape shattered, ice pillars craked, and ice spikes broke apart and crumbled.
But Saitama was still no match for her. His body shot backwards as his arm dislocated from the shoulder. Although the part of his arm from his elbow to his fist might have been indestructible, his shoulders weren’t.
His body tore through the various ice formations in the distance, the impact brutal as his bones broke and shattered upon impact.
Zuri stood with a wicked smile as she looked in the directions of both Asher and Saitama. Although they might have kept up in the beginning, at the end of the day, the difference between a Dust Voidstar Life Ranker and a Spark Voidstar Life Ranker was simply too great.
They had been able to close that gap through their various broken abilities and such, but it was still not enough.
Although Asher and Saitama might have been able to bully Dust Voidstar Life Rankers to death without even working together, Zuri was a Spark Voidstar.
