Chapter 1218: Outwitted [Super Gift Bonus Chapter]

This chapter is updated by JustRead.pl

But Zuri wasn’t one to fall for the same attack twice. She had seen the dagger and guessed what it was used for. So, upon seeing it again, she reacted in time, her body shooting to the side as she raised her own claymore, black lightning coming alive across its surface as she swung it to meet Asher’s attack.

But the moment their blades met, the Asher before her vanished, and the next moment, an attack tore through her chest from behind, erupting from the front.

She paused midair as she gazed at the attack in a daze. She had been injured, not just injured, but fatally wounded, her heart pierced through. Her sharp mind immediately pieced together how Asher had fooled her.

The Asher she had moved to block was nothing more than a light illusion Asher had created the moment Zuri had unleashed the flame explosion. It wasn’t that everything that had happened since then was an illusion; they were all real. But at this stage, where high-rankers could easily differentiate between reality and illusion almost immediately, it was best to employ an illusion at a surefire moment.

And that moment had been the perfect opportunity, as he had also used his Light affinity to render himself invisible.

It was checkmate.

Asher moved to end her once and for all. But just as he was about to, Zuri vanished from where she stood, her body appearing thousands of kilometers away. Her Transmutation ability came alive as she immediately froze her own body inside a block of ice, slowing down her impending death instantly.

Asher’s eyes snapped towards Zuri’s location as Star Sense locked onto her presence. He didn’t hesitate to react; a portal tore open before him as he shot through it, appearing above the block of ice in which Zuri had sealed herself.

As for the poison from earlier, he had already been healed the moment he was poisoned.

But by the time he appeared, it was already too late, as Zuri’s Transmutation ability took almost no time to activate and heal her pierced heart, perfectly restoring it to its original state.

As Asher’s rapier tore through the block of ice, she simply vanished from within it, as she no longer had any need for it. It had already served its purpose.

But she didn’t merely teleport away; she appeared above Asher, who had originally been above her. Her foot rose towards the sky with renewed vigor as she slammed her heel towards his head. Just as Asher was about to transform into bolts of lightning, he felt his body freeze as Zuri took a page out of his book and froze the space around him.

As her heel was about to connect with Asher’s skull with wicked impact, Saitama, who had been out of commission, appeared between Asher and Zuri in that instant, his fist shooting outwards without a shred of hesitation. With a cataclysmic bam, fist met heel as gale-force winds erupted across the erased battlefield.

Asher didn’t remain in place. Just because he was frozen in place didn’t mean he couldn’t move. He transferred himself to a ray of light above Zuri, employing Malrik’s skill. As he appeared, Asher waved his hand, unleashing a storm of lightning bolt directly upon Zuri’s head.

Zuri’s head snapped towards the incoming attack. She opened a portal above her head, then another before Saitama, causing the lightning bolts to reach him instead.

But Saitama didn’t stop. He stepped forward, his Stat Allocation ability coming alive as he channelled ninety-nine percent of his Agility, Perception, Stamina stats into Constitution. He punched outwards without a shred of hesitation or fear.

Upon impact, the bolt shattered into sparks of lightning, the ensuing destruction having nothing to do with him as his eyes snapped towards Zuri.

Although Zuri’s last attack against him had broken some bones, he didn’t need Asher to heal him. He possessed his own innate regeneration, which was just a step below the regeneration rate of Crownstar Life Rankers.

His own regeneration had simply taken more time to finish, as he hadn’t acquired a busted regenerative ability like Asher or this black woman. He shot towards the sky, towards where Asher and the woman were going at it, exchanging various abilities with effortless fluidity.

His fist shot towards Zuri’s head, but Zuri had already reacted. She simply created an earth wall to block the attack, but before Saitama’s fist could connect with the wall, Asher intervened, switching Saitama’s position with that of a swirling dust particle.

And with a booming force, Saitama’s fist connected with Zuri’s head. Her head snapped sideways, the impact pulling her body along as she plummeted from the sky like a fallen angel cast away from heaven.

Saitama immediately gave chase, his body moving like a fighter jet. But Asher didn’t pursue her. Instead, he snapped his fingers, his Star Energy coming alive as he immediately created a million Photon Clones, each of them filling the sky.

Their hands took the shape of guns as they surrounded the point where Zuri had landed. From their fingers, an immeasurable amount of light gathered, and without a shred of hesitation, they fired at full force.

Zuri, who had just landed, wore a frown as over a million beams of light screamed towards her.

Her Astra Energy erupted once more as she pushed her output to its limits. The sunrays and light photons around her rushed towards her, and the next moment, Zuri created what looked like a miniature sun.

Saitama didn’t need to be told; he knew he had to get the fuck out. But there was no way Zuri was going to allow that. With a thought, she froze him in place as she proceeded to let the miniature sun explode, her frown turning into a grin.

The miniature sun exploded, releasing a blinding radiance that illuminated the sky. A tremendous shockwave swept across the surroundings, tearing through the ground as golden flames and light erupted in every direction. The air distorted beneath the overwhelming heat, while the earth beneath the explosion melted into a vast pool of molten rock.

It was nothing but pure, overwhelming carnage that could scarcely be measured. The raw havoc consumed the one million beams of light, fueling the madness continuously as the scale of Asher and Zuri’s attacks reached a staggering radius of ten thousand kilometers and continued to increase.

Saitama, who was within the Second Layer of Space, felt a tingle as he watched. Asher’s Spatial Clone had come to the rescue yet again, as if he had been caught in the explosion of a miniature Sun, he would undoubtedly have been erased.

As for Asher, he didn’t care. He was immune to flame damage, and no matter how ridiculous the impact or heat became, it didn’t matter. He simply floated in place.

With a thought, a thousand daggers of the same material and weight appeared around him. He pointed forward, sending them towards Zuri.

Zuri’s eyes snapped towards the incoming thousand daggers. She would never allow them to get close, as whenever the Tenth Sun used this move, he always managed to land an attack on her.

As she moved to deal with the daggers, she felt death approaching. But before she could react, it was already too late, as Asher’s rapier tore through her neck from behind with sickening ease.

Zuri stood frozen, her hand immediately snapped into motion as she held her head, attempting to reattach it to her neck and allow her ability to do its work unwilling to die right there. But Asher wasn’t just going to stand around and watch. He knew it was impossible for her to regenerate her head but he wasn’t taking any risks.

He simply kicked her head away from her hands and neck before she could do anything, refusing to wait for it to fall to the ground naturally.

Zuri’s eyes remained wide open as she realized she had made a terrible mistake. Because Asher always teleported to the daggers whenever he threw them, she had assumed he was teleporting himself directly to them.

But it had all been a diversion. He had simply used his Photon Movement skill to transfer himself into a photon before killing her without giving her the opportunity to react.

If he had teleported behind her directly, she would have sensed the spatial fluctuations and disturbances.

Asher stood in silence as he stared at Zuri’s corpse, knowing he had won by outwitting her. Otherwise, he would undoubtedly have been the one lying on the ground without a head.

Bonus Chapter sponsored by _LordOfNothing’s Super Gift.

Because of the immense number of Super Gifts I received two days ago and yesterday, after the release of these two bonus Chapters, I will owe a total of 20 bonus Chapters or paid for by _LordOfNothing.

Normally, I would have typed and uploaded all of them within two days max by pumping out 10 to 12 Chapters daily, but I can’t this time around. Doing so would make me put my other book on the back burner, just as I did last month and the month before that. I can’t do that again.

Just as I can’t neglect you guys, I can’t neglect them.

So, I will upload 4 Chapters every day until October 20th, which means that by that date, all the current 20 bonus Chapters will have been used up.

Also, I would love for everybody to thank LordOfNothing. Within a span of two days, he has spent almost $1,500. He has taken us from rank 11 to rank 5 through the sheer power of his wallet.

Also, we are 25 Golden Tickets away from reaching rank 4 on the Golden Tickets ranking. LordOfNothing has pushed us this far, so let’s continue climbing higher without relying on him too much, as he has already done more than enough.
