Chapter 604: Revisit (1)

One month later…

Michael Tower, a city by the edge of the central continent.

There were many tall white towers in the city. Several small air transportation sites were built by the edge of the city.

On the green grass plain, the airport transportation sites looked like small brown flowers. There were people entering and leaving the sites. The airships were also landing and leaving the sites.

In one of the air transportation sites, there was a long line of those waiting. Most of them were wizards; there were also Grand Knights. Besides human beings, there were also female centaurs wearing white armor and men with heads of owls or eagles.

The wizards were all wearing long robes, and their faces were covered by their hoods.

A man in front of the line was wearing a long black robe and a mask. People could still see long red hair on his back.

The mask did not cover the man's red eyes, but his forehead was concealed by the hood.

He was the next one to board the airship.

"Please show me your ticket." The one that was checking the ticket was a man with the head of a bear.

The man handed a black iron card to the bear man, who broke the card in half, then kept half of the card and handed the other half to the man.

The man grabbed the card and boarded the airship using the wooden staircase.

The brown airship looked like a boat, and had the head of a white bear painted on the right side. The sails were not set yet.

There were already a lot of people on board, but the place was not crowded at all. It could easily fit 30 more people.

The man went around on board and found a corner with not many people around. He stood by the railings and enjoyed the wind.

It was Angele, who traveled all the way here from the tornado. If he wanted to go to the west coast, using the airship was the most convenient way. The airship could move in a straight line and was relatively safe when compared to travel on land. Most importantly, the airship had similar speed as Angele.

Angele put his hands on the railing and looked down.

The white city on the far side was illuminated by the sunlight. There were many airships in the sky above; the gentle wind blowing over his face was quite warm. He could also hear the noise made by the engines of the airships.

"Alright, we'll now arrange the rooms. Please check the number on your ticket and find your own room." A female voice came from the iron card.

"Card number 1, please head to room number 31. Card number two, please head to room number 12. Card number 3…"

The announcement was to tell the passengers the rooms they were assigned to.

Angele checked his card, the number was 25.

"Card number 25, please head to room number 7…"

Angele waited until the announcement finished and all the passengers had boarded the ship. The airship suddenly vibrated.

"Note, airship number 19 will be leaving the site soon, please stay away from the railings."

"Mom… I'm scared…" A girl that was about seven years old holding a female wizard's legs looked scared.

"Don't worry, mom is here. Don't move."

The female wizard crouched and hugged her daughter. A man in a white robe and silver glasses was standing beside them, holding several books. It seemed like he was the husband of the woman.

Angele glanced at them and noticed that one of the books in the man's hands was called History of the Central Continent.

He thought for a while and approached the man.

"Excuse, could you lend me this book, the History of the Central Continent?"

His question surprised the family. The female wizard and the male wizard observed Angele carefully.

The male wizard looked at Angele. "Sorry, but this book…"

"I'll give you this if you can lend me the book." Angele took out a mid-level magic stone, whose clean surface reflected the sunlight.

"Sorry, this is my daughter's birthday gift. If you really need one, you can purchase a new one after we arrive at the destination." The male wizard looked at the magic stone. He wanted the stone, but still declined the offer.

"No worries. I just want to read the book to kill some time," Angele replied politely. He thought the male wizard would hand the book to him right away. 700 years had passed in the wizard world. After the war against the Nightmare Realm, a mid-level magic stone could easily purchase a lot of materials.

A lot of magic stones were used during the war and the energy cycle in the central continent was damaged. There were fewer energy particles in the central continent than before and most of the magic stone mines were closed.

The fewer the magic stone mines, the higher the price of the magic stones would be. Wizards who still had mid-level magic stones were probably from large families.

Angele talked to some other wizards on his way to the air transportation site and learned a bit about the new central continent.

The wizards were much weaker than before due to the war. The ranking system was still the same, but there were not many rank 4 wizards left. The wizard organizations were different due to the lack of materials. An organization with a rank 4 wizard and a Legacy Magic Circle would be considered strong.

The wizards at different levels were slightly weaker than the wizards from Angele's era.

"If you just want to read it for a bit, I won't take the magic stone. Just make sure you give it back to me after," the male wizard responded carefully and handed the book over to Angele.

Angele grabbed the book and opened it. He found the pages that recorded what happened in the last 700 years.

After the wizard alliance disbanded, Prince Evil Dragon disappeared and the wizard organizations reclaimed their territories. The Elemental Hand was still on the list. Shadow Lord and Sky Lord lost their territories. Mirror Lord still had territory but lost the title, and the new territory was named Wizard Tower Forest.

A lot of things happened in the central continent over the last 300 years.

Angele closed the book after about half an hour and returned to the male wizard.

"So many things happened when I was not around…"

The male wizard grabbed the book and smiled.

"It's understandable; it's true that things are changing quickly. I became a formal wizard about 100 years ago, and everything changed since then. The old buildings were renovated and many famous wizards disappeared."

"You're right. Things have changed, and nothing is the same now." Angele nodded.

"I'm probably an old man in the young ones' eyes…"

He glanced around and noticed that the airship was already in the air. He could still see the green grass and the air transportation site on the ground. There were also airships preparing to land.

"May I ask if you know how those routes are arranged? Why are so many people heading to the west coast?" Angele wondered.

The man chuckled.

"There is a lot of airships, but only a few of them are heading to the west coast, including this one. Didn't you notice that most of us are weak? Apprentices, low-level wizards, and knights. Not everyone wants to stay in the central continent. We'll be treated better on the west coast.

"True," Angele agreed and nodded.

They remained silent after the conversation ended. They just looked at the forest below as the airship flew. The airship was already surrounded by white clouds.

The man's wife whispered to him with their daughter in her arms.

"Sorry, I need to go. The temperature is decreasing, I need to put more clothes on my daughter."

Angele nodded. "Sure. I'm going back to my room too."

They went to the cabin together and found the rooms. Angele said goodbye to the family and went to the other side of the hallway. He found his own room quickly.

The iron card was the key to the room. He twisted the handle slightly after inserting the card and opened the door. There were two bunk beds in the room.

The beds were made of black metal; the sheets were white.

Three of the beds were already occupied by two women and a man. They were all around 20 years old.

The two women were wearing gray and black metal armor: they were knights. They were lying in the beds with their clothes on. The man, who was wearing a gray robe, was reading a book quietly.

Angele's appearance caught their attention. The two female knights looked at Angele, but there was no expression on their faces. The male apprentice's brow furrowed but he did not say a word.

Angele decided not to greet them since no one said anything. Only a few airships would travel to the west coast, so the rooms were usually crowded.

It was a small room: two beds and four small nightstands were everything in the room. He could barely walk between the bunk beds.

Angele noticed that only the top level of a bunk bed was left; a female knight with red hair was below him. He climbed up the ladder and the female knight below him fell asleep again.

Angele looked at the knight when climbing up.

Clean skin, beautiful hair, large eyes, large breasts, slim waist, and long legs. The woman almost looked perfect.

Sadly, Angele noticed the remaining radiation energy in her body. It seemed like a wizard modified the woman's face, legs, and skin using certain spells.

'Cosmetic surgery performed by a wizard?' Angele shook his head and lay down. He glanced at the other female girl as well.

The female knight looked very different than the one under him. The woman had blonde hair and was wearing a white shirt. Her armor was left on a nightstand.

The woman had a pair of sharp eyes and there was a red scar on the left side of her face. Her body was balanced, but nothing looked strange. She noticed Angele's sight upon her, but she was not concerned. She closed her eyes and started resting again.

Angele also noticed that there was a metal dagger under her pillow.

'At least this one has a natural body.'

He then checked the male apprentice. The man's face and the bottom of his body were also modified by spells. The world really changed, wizards would only modify their own bodies hundreds of years ago.
