All along, Su Yu had believed that the person with the bloodline symbol was the traitor. When he first reached that conclusion, he was still a weakling. He had only discovered the bloodline symbol through pure coincidence.

It was an insignificant scene he had seen from the Divine Skywing Sect master's blood essence. He only learned about the origin of that symbol much later after going through various hoops.

He had asked the old turtle, He Tu, and Xia Chen about the symbol. These were essentially old fossils or the dead. In truth, very few people of the current era still knew what bloodline symbols were. Thus, Su Yu was finding it hard to believe that he had been fooled by the traitor long ago.

This wasn't a knowledge he had gained abruptly through sheer luck. Instead, it was something he had learned bit by bit, starting from when he was still a weak Mental Tempering cultivator, until the point where he grew enough to get in contact with ancient experts like the female furball.

Xia Chen himself had said that the traitor he killed was someone with Control King's bloodline.

Su Yu frowned deeply. He even started suspecting Great Zhou King. He wasn't being a sore loser here, but...this wasn't a possibility he could discount. Great Zhou King claimed that Heavenly Seal King was the traitor. But where was the proof?

Knowing that Su Yu was finding this hard to believe, Great Zhou King thought about it and said, "Su Yu, how are you so sure that the traitor is someone with Control King's bloodline?"

Su Yu said, "Silk Destroying King, please display your bloodline symbol."

Silk Destroying King seemed rather ashamed of his bloodline symbol, but he did as told. It was right on his arm. Su Yu's eyes flickered as he noted that the symbol was exactly the same as what he saw.

Su Yu solemnly said, "Senior, have you shown anyone this symbol?"

Silk Destroying King thought about it and shook his head, "No. I...care a lot about this. I know this is the symbol of a mixbreed..."

He wouldn't have minded it that much if it were a pure human king bloodline. Alas, that wasn't the case.

Great Zhou King asked, "Silk Destroying, how did you learn that this is the mixed bloodline of Control King and Blazing Flame Devil Pseudo Emperor? After so many years, it won't be easy for someone to pinpoint the exact origin of their bloodline. Not even someone like Great Xia King can know the origin of his bloodline."

Great Zhou King frowned and said, "We have never placed any records related to Control King and Blazing Flame Devil Pseudo Emperor there. Just what did you read back then? What was the book you read?"

Silk Destroying King thought about it and answered, "Ancient Bloodline Theories. That was the title of the book I read."

"We never placed that book there."

Silk Destroying King's jaw dropped. After a long while, he said, "It was really there. Are you sure you're not misremembering?"

"What do you think?"

Silk Destroying King said helplessly, "Fine. But I do remember reading that book there."

Great Zhou King said, "War Shrine is no more. We can't even look for proof anymore. Either you're the traitor or the book was something the traitor placed there to fool you. The traitor must know you very well, including your habits..."

Great Zhou King looked at Su Yu and said, "The real traitor knew that Silk Destroying would not show anyone the symbol after learning about its origin. And if someone were to attack him because of the symbol, he wouldn't even bother to defend himself since he would see no point in defending his identity as a mixbreed."

"Thus, the traitor had prepared Silk Destroying King as his scapegoat all along. All while Silk Destroying King remained completely clueless."

The real traitor had been acting as though he was Silk Destroying King, ensuring that any investigation would ultimately lead toward Silk Destroying King.

Su Yu said indifferently, "Is that so? Give me a good proof. Intuition...is not believable. Since you suspect Heavenly Seal King, explain your reasoning. His bloodline? Or something else?"

"Silk Destroying King, can we walk your River of Time? Let's try to return to about fifty years ago. I am curious. What were you doing back when Ye Batian died?"

He smiled and said, "Don't worry. I can help solidify the River of Time if you can't do it alone."

And if both of them couldn't do it, he could even get the female furball to help. That was a Daofuse. As long as he didn't resist, they wouldn't fail to investigate his past.

Silk Destroying King's expression changed slightly as he said helplessly, "Investigating my past? I...uhm..."

Silk Destroying King asked gloomily, "Can I even say no to this?"

"No." Great Zhou King smiled, "Everything is suggesting that youre the traitor. If you refuse to show us your past, I won't be able to prove your innocence. After all, your bloodline is indeed the biggest issue here."

Silk Destroying King agreed with a sigh, "Fine. Let's do it. Please make sure to keep what you see a secret...or I won't let this slide!"

What? Was this guy really hiding a big secret?

Su Yu narrowed his eyes, while Great Zhou King merely smiled. With a wave of his hand, he erected numerous formations around them. As for Su Yu, he wondered if Silk Destroying King was strong enough to carry him through the river since he had the female furball on him.

Perhaps Great Zhou King could help. Or the female furball herself could help as well.

Seeing that Great Zhou King was actually erecting all thoe formations around them, Silk Destroying King had nothing else to say. Before long, he tore an opening in the air. It was a considerably large opening. Su Yu could see that it was comparable to the opening he saw Wan Tiansheng create back then.

Then again, this was a sixth-degree Eternal who was also proficient in time. This shouldn't come as a surprise.

Sounds of flowing water could be heard from the opening.

With another sigh, Silk Destroying King said, "Let's go. Let me be clear. I might not be strong enough to go all the way to fifty years ago. You'll need to handle that yourself."

Great Zhou King said, "Don't worry. Let's go."

Su Yu and Great Zhou King entered without any hesitation. With their strength, they didn't have much to fear. In fact, together, they could probably survive even a Daofuse.

As for Silk Destroying King, he shook right after entering and cursed, "Damn it! Why is this feeling so heavy? It feels like I'm taking ten Eternals with me! At this rate, I doubt I can go further than ten years back!"

Su Yu grinned. Was Great Zhou King talking about him?

He laughed and said, "Great Zhou King is boundlessly strong. It's normal for him to be heavy."

At that, the two smiled at each other without saying anything else. Beneath them, a river unfurled into the distance.

The two floated above the river, looking at the waves on the river. Each wave represented an event in Silk Destroying King's life.

And for some reason...Silk Destroying King's river was filled with waves.

It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that the waves were unending.

Su Yu frowned. Great Zhou King sighed. He said, "I understand. Most of these waves...were your battles with the Silkwyrm King, right?"

Silk Destroying King laughed awkwardly.

Since they were so interested in his past, they were free to enjoy his valiant battles with the silkwyrm.

They did not bother to check the first wave. It was most likely a recent event.

They started moving toward the past. Before long, they reached the second wave. They dove inside and saw the scene of the attack on the Silkwyrm Realm. After a simple check, they left.

The third wave involved the moment after Silk Destroying King killed the Silkwyrm King. The only scene they saw was Silk Destroying King spending a very long time laughing in joy. That was all. After a while, they left.

Next, they started entering the waves representing Silk Destroying King's battles with the Silkwyrm King.

Again and again.

One could say that in the past, Silk Destroying King would look for the Silkwyrm King at least once per year. For Invincibles, a battle per year was basically the same as a battle per day for a regular person.
