Puresolar Marquis was surprised to see that Su Yu was unaware of the mirror. He explained, "The Heavenly Mirror was a gift bestowed upon the East Heavenly King by the ancient imperial court. It's meant to monitor the awakening of new death spirits. According to the ancient pact, powerful death spirits are not allowed to remain in the Spirit Suppression Domain upon awakening."

Su Yu raised his brow, "A gift to East Heavenly King? What about the other three kings?"

"They received no such thing. The East Heavenly King only received it because his domain was the nearest to the Spirit Suppression Domain. Grand Dream never loved moving, so Martial King assigned the task of controlling the number of death spirits in the Spirit Suppression Domain to East Heavenly King. As for the other areas, Devote King was around to take care of them."

"Understood."

Openmountain arranged for it to happen. Before long, a confused death sovereign was blasted apart by the punch of a guardian at the seventh-degree Eternal Realm. Suppressed, the death sovereign stood no chance. He was instantly defeated. Even his death imprint broke apart.

No power of laws appeared. Clearly, the guardian was too strong to be rewarded for killing only one death sovereign. Up in the sky, Martial Emperor frowned slightly.

Su Yu was ignoring him!

But that was true. Su Yu had zero interest in any interaction with Martial Emperor. It was pointless. He would rather spend his time on something productive.

Martial Emperor was offended. Damn this little worm! How dare this worm be so arrogant? He asked, "Su Yu, what are you doing?"

"Keep killing." Su Yu said, "Hurry up. We don't have much time."

"Understood."

Once again, the same guardian killed a death sovereign. Not long after, a clump of power descended from the sky. But it was far weaker compared to what Heavendoom and the others had received from killing marquises.

Su Yu focused and noted the source of the power in the sky. He noticed that the power was actually slowly seeping up from the ground beneath them. He was unsure if this power came from the outside world or the upper levels of the mansion.

He took his human lord's token out.

Moments later, a voice rang out from the thin air, "Greetings, Human Lord. It has only been a short while, but you look better than before! Are you here to demolish the eighth level and free me, Human Lord?"

Under everyone's wary gazes, a gate appeared in the sky.

Heavenbridge Marquis seemed capable of seeing Martial Emperor as well. He hurriedly moved away from the face and approached Su Yu. While moving, he spoke with joy, "Human Lord! Are you here to see me?"

Openmountain and the others watched curiously. Wasn't this the Heavenbridge Marquis? They had never asked about this, so they were surprised to find that even Heavenbridge Marquis had submitted to Su Yu.

Su Yu did not feel like talking too much to the talkative gate. Thus, he went straight to the point and asked, "Did the power of laws in the eighth level stir earlier?"

Su Yu frowned. Realizing what Su Yu was doing, Martial Emperor sneered and said, "Are you worried that you will cause a change in the Myriad Realms after draining too much of the power of laws? Are you afraid of that so-called Upper Realm?"

Su Yu smiled and asked, "So you have the answer."

"Naturally."

"So is the power of laws in here shared with the power outside?"

"No. Feel free to drain as much as you need."

Su Yu frowned. Just as he was about to leave with Heavenbridge Marquis to take a look himself, Martial Emperor spoke again, "I can see that you're here to increase the strength of your subordinates again. You will need to either drain the power here or the power outside. That's the fastest way for your subordinates to grow. But doing it outside will open the Upper Realm earlier."

Su Yu's heart skipped a beat as he realized something. He muttered, "Is the power here..ant to...suppress the Martial Emperor as well?" He looked at Martial Emperor again. It seemed like Martial Emperor had guessed what he was thinking.

Martial Emperor said, "Some of the power here forms an internal cycle within the mansion. But don't worry. There is plenty of power here. Just drain it freely. Nothing will change. I can't escape so easily."

Su Yu cursed inwardly. He had been curious about Martial Emperor's intentions. Martial Emperor seemed a tad bit too supportive here.

But the truth was that the power of laws inside the mansion was being used to suppress the Martial Emperor. Su Yu had already drained quite a lot previously to help Heavendoom and the others reach the Daofuse Realm.

As he thought more about it, he realized something. "So you're able to stay clear-minded for so long because I drained quite a lot of the power when I was here previously?"

Martial Emperor sneered.

"So what if that's the case?"

Su Yu cursed inwardly. This was terrible. If he drained the power outside, the Upper Realm would open. If he drained the power here, he would reduce the suppression on Martial Emperor. Over a hundred myriad race Daofuses on one side and one Martial Emperor on the other side. What a choice.

Nearby, the guardian was finally done absorbing the heavenly reward, growing to the eighth degree. Power of laws was what these guardians lacked most. They did not lack comprehension as they had been around for too long.

As long as sufficient power was provided, they wouldn't be far from Daofuse. But this was risky. If this continued, Martial Emperor might escape in advance.

Su Yu sank into thought.

What to do?

Up in the sky, Martial Emperor laughed with satisfaction. Finally, the new human lord couldn't continue acting so arrogantly anymore.

He coldly said, "Don't worry. It's better for you to drain the power here. The experts from the Upper Realm will most certainly kill you when they arrive.

Martial Emperor's face had been following Su Yu all along. With a smile, he asked, "So what did you notice?"

"I checked your 360 acupoints. About a third of them are already unsealed." Su Yu said, "This must not be your first time awake over the years. You must have unsealed some of them each time you were awake."

Martial Emperor smiled and said, "So what if that's true? Do you have a choice, Su Yu? You won't be a match to the myriad races if these people remain at their current strength.

"You need them stronger, but you don't have the courage to drain the power outside. This is your only choice. Just do this and let me feel more comfortable during my imprisonment. In any case, it's only a matter of time before I'm free."

He was confident Su Yu had no choice. Thus, he was in a great mood. The Death Realm would not give Su Yu any rewards for killing death spirits. He could choose to do it outside, but that would open the Upper Realm in advance.

The guardians did as told. Martial Emperor watched with a smile. As more and more heavenly rewards appeared, his face in the sky became clearer and clearer. As for the gigantic pillars all around them, their surface shattered, revealing the hair beneath.
