Chapter 1948: Approaching Battle (1)

Even a lion needed to use all its strength to hunt a rabbit. And their targets here were most certainly no rabbits.

There were eight heavenly kings present in the immediate area, with the area itself being a danger zone where anything could happen. Su Yu needed to take all that into consideration.

They waited around for a day.

Grandstar and Great Ming King were the earliest to arrive. Shortly after, Stable Army Marquis and Chong Ming approached cautiously. From the intense fluctuations of their auras, it was clear their past few days had been rather challenging.

Apart from September, everyone was here. Su Yu had seven Daofuses on his side. Cloud Water Marquis, Brave Martial General, Shadow Marquis, and Cloud Water Marquis made up four Daofuses. Altogether, there were eleven of them.

Only Lan Tian and Su Yu were heavenly kings. Great Zhou King and Cloud Fire Marquis were peak Daofuses, or tier-two Daofuses, while Cloud Water Marquis and Shadow Marquis were near that level. Brave Martial General and Stable Army Marquis were tier-three Daofuses. Great Ming King, Grandstar, and Chong Ming were relatively fresh Daofuses. They weren't the weakest of Daofuses, but they were only at around tier five.

Killing eight heavenly kings with such a force was akin to a dream. It would be more apt to call this a suicide mission. Back when they fought against East Heavenly King, they had nearly lost even with a large number of Daofuses on their side.

When hearing that Su Yu wanted to kill eight heavenly kings, Stable Army Marquis gasped. However, he said nothing. After joining Su Yu's operation against the dragons, he knew just how cautious Su Yu was. This was definitely not a suicidal and brash fellow.

Since Su Yu had proposed something like this, there must be a reason. Both Great Ming King and Grandstar remained silent as he awaited Su Yu's battle plan.

As for Brave Martial General and the others, they noticed how the newcomers were completely silent even after hearing that they would need to face eight heavenly kings. They were alarmed. Su Yu's grasp over these people was incredibly firm.

Everyone watched in silence. Then, Su Yu waved his hand and dyed a mountain red.

He solemnly said, "Our targets are here."

After taking a look at the mountain, Shadow Marquis said, "This is the Primordial Mountain. According to the rumors, it has been around since the primordial past."

"It is now known as the Sealed Mountain." Su Yu corrected him, "According to the newest rumors, Hundred Battle King is sealed here."

Their expressions changed.

Brave Martial General frowned and said, "Where Hundred Battle King is sealed? Human Lord, are we trying to release Hundred Battle King?

"I'm not necessarily opposed to this. After all, he is a fellow human as well. But I disagree that we need to throw our lives away for Hundred Battle!"

She did not mind freeing Hundred Battle King. But she was unwilling to face eight heavenly kings and sacrifice all of them just for Hundred Battle King.

The rest remained in silence.

Hundred Battle King had been their faith for many years.

They all looked at each other with odd expressions. Excluding Su Yu and Lan Tian, there were nine of them. But was Su Yu certain that they could defeat six heavenly kings?

Great Zhou King wasn't weak. With him and Cloud Fire Marquis serving as the main combat force, they could handle two heavenly kings. But six...wasn't that the same as throwing their lives away for free?

The others were shocked to hear that.

Great Zhou King couldn't resist asking, "Are you saying that we will allow the six heavenly kings to group up? Or perhaps we even need to lure and bunch them up? Emperor Yu, they will be even stronger when joining hands. We might stand a better chance of dealing with them separately. But bunching them up will make this impossible for us."
