Chapter 1983: Reaching An Agreement (3)

Su Yu explained, "Not much. But I don't represent all of humanity. There are also experts from various other races in Emperor Yu's Court. Thus, we are calling our faction Emperor Yu's Court instead of humanity since that will make things awkward for our allies."

March chewed on those words. After a while, he said, "Previously, Great Bamboo promised our support so long as you could complete his task."

"During your battle at Dao Origin Land, you killed multiple pseudo kings and released Hundred Battle King. Your strength has been proven. You are far stronger than what Great Bamboo believed. And you accomplished such a feat without any losses. The iron devourer race has always been an ally of humanity. It is only natural that we continue this relationship."

He paused slightly before continuing, "If I may, can I ask if there is a chance that your faction will come together with Control King's lineage?"

Su Yu laughed, "Not possible."

March asked, "What if Control King's lineage is willing to submit to you?"

"That won't happen."

March asked again, "What if it happened?"

"I kill."

"..."

March asked, "Kill? What do you mean?"

Su Yu grinned, "I'll kill them all and be done with it. This lineage is ambitious and ruthless. They were the ones who had ruined humanity's accumulation during the ninth epoch. Why should I keep them around? I'll kill them all."

After a short silence, March said, "Since you're the one who has released the dao September is pursuing right now, you should know about our history with them."

"I am aware. Control King was probably the one who had killed Senior February. Your grudge with them can't be reconciled."

"The iron devourer race is probably weaker than Control King's lineage." March said, "Furthermore, they are still humans. I am only worried that Control King's lineage might choose to return to humanity one day. If you end up..."

Some of them might not even be humans from the actual Control King's bloodline. I don't care about them, but the main bloodline of this lineage won't be spared. As for the rest, we will decide in the future.

"It's pointless to kill some regular people who have spent their entire life in the Chaos Mountain, right? That is their entire world. If this is acceptable for you, we won't have any issues. To be honest, I don't mind killing everyone in the lineage, including the regular people unrelated to the main bloodline. But I'm scared that this will generate a pushback from the other humans."

March exhaled in relief and said, "That is enough. We only care about the main offenders. As for the ignorant who might not even know they're humans, we don't care about them."

This was his biggest worry. He had accepted the possibility of February's death long ago. But after learning that Control King was the culprit, he had to consider the possibility of Control King's return to humanity.

Su Yu laughed and said, "I have gained quite a lot of allies so far. This might sound boastful, but not a single one of my allies has complained about unfairness. We care about impartiality, rules, and loyalty."

After a short pause, Su Yu added, "This is applicable to all my allies. Want to leave? Go ahead. Want to be my enemy after leaving? Go ahead. Just make sure not to stab me in the back when we're still allies."

Seeing that the atmosphere was getting heavy, Great Zhou King laughed and said, "Fellow Daoist March, Emperor Yu is a man of his word. Since he has given you his word, he won't go against it. With all of us bearing witness to this promise, the ruler of humanity won't be shameless enough to break his promise."

"It's not that I'm a suspicious person."

March explained, "I just need to be safe since this involves the death of my father. Please forgive me for showing this embarrassing side of me."

He laughed and continued, "I am happy with your promise, Human Lord. That is more than good enough for me. From now onward, you have my full support."

Su Yu grinned and said, "That's very straightforward of you, Senior. No, this is the case for the entire iron devourer race."

March smiled and said nothing else. There were multiple reasons for how easily he had agreed. Firstly, Su Yu's side wasn't weak. Secondly, Great Bamboo Marquis had promised it. Thirdly, the Lower Realm iron devourers were already in Su Yu's camp.

Fourthly, due to their status as an old ally of humanity, the iron devourers weren't doing that well even if they had opted out of the final battle during the ninth epoch. The myriad races were unwilling to let them be due to their history.

In short, March had decided that this was the right choice after taking numerous things into consideration. Of course, he still needed to consider whether he would give his everything to this alliance. He still needed to observe more.

Then again, this Emperor Yu was most certainly no pushover. This was their first meeting, but he was there when so many pseudo kings died in the Dao Origin Land. This human lord was much smarter than Hundred Battle King.

Su Yu continued his conversation with March. Through the conversation, he learned of the invitation by the myriad races. He wasn't even surprised.

He smiled and said, "Attend it. I have been thinking of a way to spy on that meeting so this is the best opportunity for that. Join and agree to participate in the war. It's no big deal if they send you as the vanguard against Control King's lineage."

Seeing that March was looking quite worried, Su Yu laughed and said, "Don't worry. I won't make things difficult for you. Lan Tian and I will be there as iron devourers as well. Everything will be fine. The rest of my people will hide here for now."

Due to the unique paths they pursued, both Su Yu and Lan Tian were extremely good at disguise. In comparison, even Great Zhou King might get exposed since Venerables would be present during the assembly.

"Human Lord...are you really going to the Human Mountain?"

"As for pseudo kings, the three major races have lost a lot recently. But you know this as well, Human Lord. Most of these dead pseudo kings were relatively new pseudo kings."

Su Yu nodded, "Yes. Six of them had switched their daos before. That alone is enough to showcase their age."

March nodded, "It's good that you're aware of this. And the three major races have more pseudo kings. They have a lot of pseudo kings who are still cultivating the Lower Realm daos.

"After humanity's defeat during the ninth epoch, the three major races had inherited almost everything humanity had in the Upper Realm. The ancient races who were allied to humanity had also been wiped out before having their resources split among the three major races."

March sighed and continued, "As far as I know, the three major races still have at least fifteen pseudo kings. They have benefited significantly from the collapse of humanity."

"All thanks to the useless Hundred Battle King." Su Yu remarked.

Everyone found themselves agreeing with that remark. Hundred Battle King was truly useless. He was the one who had collapsed humanity and fattened the myriad races.

Prior to the ninth epoch, the myriad races weren't this powerful. However, humanity and its allies were defeated while the myriad races took over the resources of humanity and its allied races, on top of a large number of Daofuse corpses. That was more than enough to fatten them all up.

Now, they had grown to a point where the three major races alone were already capable of fielding more than fifteen pseudo kings. It was likely that the races that could afford to leave Daofuses in the Lower Realm, such as the nether, dragon, phoenix, and ape races had some pseudo kings up here as well.

Su Yu sighed and said, "The myriad races have probably produced more pseudo kings during the past six thousand years than all the prior years after the ancient past combined."

With a bitter smile, March said, "That's actually true. Prior to that, things were different. Everyone was contending against each other, and some experts would die every now and then. But in the past six thousand years, the myriad races had cut down on their internal conflicts to amass strength and exterminate humanity. They intend to first wipe out humanity before fighting among themselves again.

"Even when they are competing over the masterlass daos in the Dao Origin Land, people would rarely die. Only one Daofuse would die in a few hundred years. Suddenly, all their heads snapped to the west.

March's expression changed, while Su Yu frowned.

Great Zhou King exclaimed in alarm, "Hundred Battle King's aura?"

A powerful aura was surging fiercely to the west.

A faint, furious voice could be heard even from the Bamboo Mountain, "Yue Luo, I'll kill you!"

"..."

Everyone looked at each other. March looked at Su Yu speechlessly.

In return, Su Yu looked at Cloud Fire Marquis and the others, speechless. After a long while, he said, "No matter what, he used to be a human lord. A leader. Is his temper really that bad? Why is he exposing himself so confidently so soon after escaping the myriad races?"

"..."

The expressions of the ancient humans changed repeatedly. With a resigned smile, Great Zhou King said, "He must have been angry about this for thousands of years. I guess he failed to hold his anger back anymore after finally encountering Yue Luo."

Why would he fight an opponent he couldn't defeat unless he was out of choices?

Su Yu decided to stop talking about Hundred Battle King there. This wasn't a bad thing. With Hundred Battle King there, it was only a matter of time before Control King's lineage was fully exposed before the myriad races.

He said, "I'll disguise myself as April and Lan Tian will disguise himself as May."

Lan Tian objected, "No thanks. I won't be your son. I'll disguise myself as Full Moon instead."

Not far away, September paled. No!

Not Full Moon! That would leave a mental scar in his mind!
