Hundred Battle King laughed, "Perhaps. Su Yu, I only have one question. Just how are you so confident that...you can match me in battle?"

His aura started rising. It was as though a storm was raging around him. He was incredibly powerful. His aura alone shook the Myriad Realms.

Step by step, he walked forward. Slowly, his face turned cold. "I never wished to become your enemy. Even if you wish to become the human lord or even the Human Emperor, I can allow it. So long as you stay out of my way, I won't make things hard for you. Why must you force me, Su Yu?"

In the blink of an eye, his aura surpassed Consort Emeritus' level and started approaching Martial Emperor's level. With fury and indignation in his eyes, he said, "I have never wronged humanity. I am working against the myriad races and sinned lineage as well. Why must you force me?"

Behind him, two Venerables and nearly twenty Daofuses appeared. They scattered and surrounded Su Yu. Hundred Battle King continued walking forward.

"Su Yu, you can still walk away. Stay out of my way and I promise to not allow the sinned lineage to grow out of control. I will not allow the myriad races to continue influencing the affairs of the Myriad Realms. I can even help you against the myriad races. But I have use for the sinned lineage. We can still cooperate. You can go and help Human Emperor. I won't stop you. I do what I want and you do what you want. We will stay out of each others' way. What do you think about this?"

Su Yu smiled, "I'm very curious about one thing. Why do you insist on opening the Hell Gate? You're promising to not let the sinned lineage grow out of control. In that case, answer me. Are you strong enough to face Control?"

Hundred Battle King answered with conviction, "Human Ancestor can face all enemies."

"Are you so certain about that?" Su Yu asked, "Where is Human Ancestor? How strong is he? What are his thoughts? Do you know all that?"

Hundred Battle answered, "Yes! Su Yu, I don't need you to remind me of all that. You will never imagine just how terrifying the future enemies are. Chaos behind the Hell Gate. Creation behind the Heaven Gate. And...the pre-chaos era that might exist."

He roared sharply, "Can you handle all of them? Can Human Emperor? Human Emperor knows nothing!"

Su Yu answered with the same calm, "In that case, we can always wait for Human Emperor to return and discuss the Hell Gate with him."

Hundred Battle King's anger surged as he snapped, "As I said, you don't understand! Human Emperor is conservative! He won't agree to the opening of the Hell Gate! He won't allow the Chaos Era to return! You know nothing about Human Emperor!

"His ideology is different from yours. It's also different from mine. If you truly understand him, you won't even consider having him agree to the opening of the Hell Gate. He would rather drag the myriad race powerhouses off and handle them alone than allow Human Ancestor to return!"

Su Yu's expression changed slightly. "Are you saying that Human Emperor knows all this as well?"

After a short silence, Hundred Battle King sneered, "Yes. He knows all this."

Su Yu's heart thumped.

Human Emperor knew it. But he disagreed with Hundred Battle King's approach.

Control King.

Once again, Su Yu's heart thumped. "Control King...this is related to Control King. The betrayal...Did Control King propose to open the Hell Gate but everyone else objected? Culture King once punished Control King. It was a small punishment. Control King was even allowed to guard the Hell Gate. This signified that nobody believed that Control King would betray humanity at the time. You...was this...done by those on your side? So your side has always been allied with Control King!"

Understanding dawned on Su Yu.

"Both your side and Control King are trying to open the Hell Gate fully. Control King was even willing to enter the gate for the sake of completing this task. You don't fear the opening of the Hell Gate because even Control King is one of you! Is that so?"

Su Yu looked at Hundred Battle King with shock and said, "Therefore, Yue Luo, Yue Xiao, and everyone else have always been on your side!"

Su Yu frowned, "But why didn't you join hands to eliminate the myriad races six thousand years ago? Nobody could have stopped you from opening the Hell Gate back then. Why did you insist on putting up an act?"

Hundred Battle King shut his eyes, as though he was thinking deeply about something. After a moment, he opened his eyes and sighed, "You're too smart. As for the myriad races, we couldn't eliminate them as the Masters of Laws Human Emperor dragged off would sense it.

"You are truly clueless. The moment the myriad races are eliminated, those people will risk everything to rush back. Hundred Battle King gave Su Yu a long stare before lamenting, "You're too smart."

The ninth human lord was supposed to win here before moving upstream to reinforce him. Thus, even his secret guards emerged during the ninth epoch. But a traitor like you gained control over humanity. Not even Human Emperor and the Torchbearers saw that coming.

"You held back from defeating the myriad races and hid away to prevent the myriad race powerhouses from returning and getting in your way.

Hundred Battle King listened silently. He did not argue. He did not deny anything.

Slowly, Su Yu's aura rose. As it reached Consort Emeritus' level, he said sharply, "Therefore, my previous attack against the sinned lineage must have caused your heart to ache badly. Is that the case?"

"Not really." Hundred Battle King said indifferently, "If they die, they die. Yu Qing and the matron dragon wouldn't have been able to emerge without all those deaths. Someone must die for that to happen. I'm merely surprised that you're starting the war to pacify the Myriad Realms so soon."

Su Yu gazed at Hundred Battle King frostily.

"Therefore...you are the biggest traitor of all."

"No, I am no traitor." Hundred Battle King shook his head, "I'm not. Control King isn't. Conflict King isn't. None of us is a traitor. We only wish to follow a different path to save humanity. We don't want to sit around and wait for our destruction like Human Emperor. Choosing differently does not make us traitors.

"If you consider us traitors because of our choice, you can consider Culture King, Martial King, and Time Sage traitors as well. Their departure was the main reason for the collapse of the imperial court. Even Control King only opted to start opening the Hell Gate after their departure, not before. They caused all this. Why aren't you calling them traitors?"

Su Yu thought about it, smiled, and nodded. "Yes, you seem to make some sense, but in truth, your logic is utter nonsense.

"Culture King's irresponsible departure might have caused the collapse, but Human Emperor had left behind sufficient contingencies to ensure the continuation of humanity. But you were the ones who had wasted all these contingencies away instead of letting them strengthen humanity.
