”Well then.” Shiva turned to the white-haired man, barely conscious, ”I see, you have been corrupted.”
Isaac rubbed his eyes, and had difficulty seeing in front. His White Death had ended, and the health bar showed a pathetic 1 HP.
However, then Shiva tapped his forehead, and all the corruption left him through his ears via black smoke. His vision cleared.
”Wraith, right.” Shiva looked around the alleyway, and found a seat to sit on. It wasn’t a proper seat, but instead a small garbage bin.
”Yes, and you are…?” Isaac hadn’t seen anyone with blue skin before. He also heard Hades calling him by a very respectful term, ”Shiva-sama”. Thus, he had to be at least God.
”Shiva.” He replied with a name Isaac already knew. However, he continued with another sentence, ”I am a God of Destruction”
‘I see, I can tell he is incredibly power. But, what does he want with me?’
Shiva whipped his head towards the ceiling, ”We don’t have much time. But, I came to tell you that the Gods, and Goddesses wouldn’t want you to continue in this tournament?”
”Why?”
”Because you are currently too strong. Hah, I don’t really know how you became so strong, but you have to promise one thing if you want to still participate in the tournament. You want to fight that… Underlord, right?”
Isaac’s face turned serious as he nodded, ”Yes.”
”Good, then, you need to fight with handicap.”
”Handicap?” Isaac frowned, ”Even against Underlord?”
”Haha, no.” Shiva shook his head with an amused smile, ”Even though you are strong… very strong for a human–Underlord is the same, and defeating him is even harder than Hades.”
”Alright, what kind of handicap are you talking about?”
”You may not use your weapons.”
”What?!” Isaac clicked his tongue while shaking his head, ”You should know how hard it is to kill a player without class specific weapons.”
”I know.” Shiva smiled with a chuckle, ”I am not confident that you will even reach the final, but you have to do that. Otherwise, I can’t convince others.”
Isaac looked at the pistols, dangling from his hip, and sighed, ”Fine, but if I encounter an Underlord, no matter in which round, I can use them, right?”
”Yes.”
”Alright.” Isaac threw the pistol, the dagger, and the Mosin-Nagant into his inventory.
”Well then.” Shiva stood up, and patted the dust off his pants, ”The arena suffered more damage than anticipated. Even the screens cracked, so the second round won’t happen today, instead tomorrow.”
Isaac nodded, and watched as Shiva jumped over the building, and disappeared.
”Fighting without any weapons… No, he didn’t say that I wasn’t allowed to use my weapons… Hmm, maybe I can find a loophole, and use something else. Not any firearms, but maybe something that will assist me…”
Isaac walked through the broken wall, and went straight to the kitchen. He picked up a cup while turning on the faucet. As he filled the cup with the water, he looked around at the damage that the building had suffered.
After drinking the water, he left the building, and started running toward the arena. As he got closer, he could see the Inhumans already fixing the broken statue, and crater. He couldn’t see anyone else when he entered the arena.
When he reached his temporary room, he saw the TV screen showing a show, with music blasting, and beautiful women, and handsome men dancing. They were having an ending show.
After it was over, the Inhumans dispersed from the arena with good feelings, even though the day of the tournament ended quicker than expected.
Isaac sat on his bed, leaning against the wall while holding an ancient pocket watch in his right hand. It was something he managed to acquire when he was on the hunt for serial killer. The pocket watch was nothing but decoration, but he liked staring at it when he was in deep thought.
Ding, click, ding, click, as Isaac opened, and closed the pocket watch, he frowned, and opened the interface. It was packed with stuff, he deemed useless. However, there was an item from real-life, which he kept in his inventory.
He pulled out a wooden bo-staff. Its color had peeled off from Isaac’s daily usage. However, it was durable. Not as durable as some legendary, and mythical weapons the players use these days. However, as long as he wouldn’t foolishly defend, it could be very useful.
”This will do.” Isaac closed the pocket watch, and tugged it into his front pocket. Then, he noticed the jacket was slowly repairing itself. Surprisingly, it took half an hour for the jacket to repair itself after Hades’ attack.
After it was repaired, Isaac stood up, and swung the bo-staff around him. As the wind whistled as a result of powerful swings, he tested stabbing, and then slashing. All his attacks were miles stronger than before.
Knock, knock… someone banged a fist against his door. Isaac frowned, and opened the door while hiding the bo-staff behind the door. After opening, he saw a panting Alice, whose face immediately beamed after seeing him. Then, she lunged forward, and hugged him.
”You are safe!”
”Ah, yes.” Isaac, while being hugged by Alice, pushed the door shut with the bo-staff.
Alice stopped hugging, and said, ”Father, and mother contacted me, asking if you are alright.”
”You can tell that I am alright.” Isaac sat on the bed, then asked, ”What about Luna… how is she?”
”About that…” Alice sat next to him, and said, with a slightly fearful tone, ”She… was in a lot of pain. Apparently, the damage she suffered here, was transferred to real-life.”
”What?!” Isaac’s eyes had a tint of red as he shouted, ”How is that possible? Is she alright?”
”She is fine now… but, if Underlord has that kind of power… he could kill any of us, for real.”
Isaac grabbed her hand, and clenched it tightly, ”Everything will be alright. But, if you happen to encounter him, please, log off.”
Alice showed a strained smile, and nodded. However, she didn’t want to give up like this. It was her time to show what she was capable of doing. Who knows, if she does fine, some of the Gods or Goddesses might have interest in her, and offer a legacy.
