Chapter 683 Maxwell Vs. Bella.

This chapter is updated by NovelFree.ml

“Ouch.” Bella rubbed her forehead with a pout. “That hurt. Who are you and why did you shoot me out of nowhere?”

“Begone, demon!” Maxwell pointed towards the ceiling with his right arm. “Grand Priest’s Miraculous Deed… Ceiling fall!”

Crack! The ceiling shattered and the room above them started crumbling apart. The room was a bathroom, and sinks, toilets, and bathtubs fell straight down the shattered floor—landing on top of the demoness.

Bella fell to her knees after the bathtub landed on her head, but she quickly straightened her legs and threw the bathroom facilities away—through the window.

“Grand Priest’s Miraculous Deed… Smoke Cloud!”

From the cracked floor, smoke seeped through and filled the entire first floor with thick smoke, that couldn’t be seen through.

Bella squinted her eyes while looking around for the robed man, but she could barely see herself, let alone someone else.

However, she heard a voice.

“Grand Priest’s Miraculous Deed… House Fall!”

Crack… following the voice, a lone figure jumped through the window and landed on a snowbank. The house started crumbling apart, and all four floors and the attic fell straight on top of Bella.

Maxwell stood to his feet while snow stained the robes and hoped that this was enough to defeat the demon. ‘Please be enough… I hope Isabella is already far enough from being undetected by her, if she survived somehow.’

When the news about spaceships appearing in Snowstar first appeared, Maxwell immediately wore his robes and told Isabella to leave through the snow forest. She had ten minutes of head start, and Maxwell planned to increase it by risking his life in the fight against the demon.

His face was still incredibly solemn as thick scent of blood traveled to his nostrils. Maxwell glanced to one of the mansions, where two piles of blood and blood-stained dog were.

His eyes flashed with anger and sadness.

‘I will kill her even if it is the last thing I do.’ Maxwell turned to the destroyed mansion and saw the items from his children’s rooms. Framed pictures, destroyed bedsheets, blankets, and clothes.

Crack… CRACK!

From beneath the mansion’s ruins, an explosion echoed, and the familiar horned demoness appeared with her tail swaying behind her. She wasn’t even a little bit injured, and it was almost as if she had been bit by a mosquito.

“You destroyed Isaac’s house…” Bella’s face twitched, and an angry expression appeared. “How dare you?!”

‘Isaac? How does this wretched being know his name?’ Maxwell frowned and thought the worst. ‘She came here because she is after him? I now have another reason to kill this bitch!’

Bella turned around, her veins reaching her neck. She seemed extremely angry, and her bloodlust chilled the air.

Her palms showed a pair of glowing spheres. They were exactly those that destroyed the indestructible Moon Rock.

“Spheres of Destruction!” She shouted and threw the spheres towards Maxwell.

“Grand Priest’s Miraculous Deed… Slippery ground!”

The ground turned slippery, as if they were standing on a mixture of ice and soap.

Maxwell turned around and started skating on the ground like he was on an ice skating rink. Theglowing spheres followed him as the robed man skated through the gates and turned right.

The spheres flew past him, striking another mansion and making it explode. An enormous mushroom cloud made of fire appeared in the peaceful neighborhood.

“Arhg!” Maxwell covered his face and was hurled across the neighborhood, with severe fire damage appearing around his body. The robes were slightly burned, with the sleeves having holes.

Bella leaped across the air, and saw Maxwell rolling down the slippery ground with incredible speed. The ground was so slippery that after Maxwell arrived on a downhill, his speed increased and even Bella had slight difficulty keeping up.

Maxwell turned to his stomach, and even though the wind blew against his face and the passing buildings were nothing but a blurry image, he still focused all his attention on increasing his speed.

Bella flew past the buildings with her clothes fluttering around her. She soon saw Maxwell entering one of the main streets soon.

Once again, glowing spheres appeared around her palms, which she tossed over to Maxwell.

Maxwell could barely hear anything because of the wind, but the weather suddenly turned incredibly hot. He barely managed to turn his neck muscles enough to look backward, but he managed to see several spheres flying towards him. He remembered what happened to that mansion.

If even one of them landed near him, he would die a thousand times over.

Maxwell’s brilliant mind quickly ran into high gear as an unprecedented threat was nearing him. His heart was already slightly aching as a result of using his mana so quickly, but he couldn’t bother caring about it now.

‘Think Maxwell, think!’ Maxwell gritted his teeth as he finally entered the main street and his speed slowed down. He awkwardly placed his hands below him and stood in a kneeling position. He slowly straightened his legs and started kicking his legs back and forth to increase his speed.

The glowing spheres were mere fifty meters away from him, and with each second, they caught up with five more meters.

‘The city is quite abandoned, everyone left for somewhere less inhabited so that demons wouldn’t find them. Cities are the worst places to be right now, and everyone in my company has already left… I guess I have to do that.’

Maxwell moved his arms around him and started skating like he was wearing skates. Bella, and the glowing spheres followed him closely as he increased his speed slowly.

In the distance, a beautiful skyscraper appeared with the name “Whitelock” adorning the top of the building. The building was empty and deserted, with no one in the streets.

This part of the city had already been evacuated.

Maxwell looked at the ground and saw that it was getting less slippery. He couldn’t use the spell to make the entire city slippery, but managed to get this far.

‘Little bit more, little bit more!’ He shouted inside his mind and soon arrived near the front entrance of Whitelock Company, but skated right by.

Then, as Bella and the glowing spheres neared the entrance, Maxwell turned around to face them with the glowing spheres being only twenty meters away!

“Grand Priest’s Miraculous Deed… SKYSCRAPER, FALL DOWN!”
