Paimon the giant energy being stared at his severed hand in disbelief. For a moment, Paimon’s expression was unreadable, as a wave of emotions flooded his mind. He could freely regenerate any body part of the giant energy being, so the wound could not be considered fatal.

It was the shock of watching his hand get severed that left him stupefied.

Sharkie lunged forward and quickly swallowed the severed hand.

Paimon turned his head slowly, but he had recovered from his shock. The stump on his wrist glowed brightly, and a new hand grew out from it. “A wasted effort. Our sacrifice outweighs your futile struggle.”

Archangel Baal frowned and quickly transformed into another giant energy being. The giant energy beings stood on both sides of their floating island, looking down at the island as they prepared their killing strike.

Suddenly, a loud bang rang out, and the giant plushie glowed brightly and began to shrink. The smaller the hammerhead shark plushie began, the brighter it glowed. Soon, it returned to its original size, and the light it had let out converged into a golden humanoid form.

Expressions of panic appeared on the faces of Baal and Paimon. They glanced at each other for a second as though coming to a tacit agreement, and both giant energy beings swung their swords at the same time at the gold humanoid light, intent on stopping its transformation.

The golden silhouette of light only smiled and said, “I’ll end your entire career here.”

A loud explosion shook the sky as black flames erupted out of the silhouette, burning away the golden light, leaving behind a black, circular meatball. The figure within the black circle of flames raised his hands at the incoming gigantic swords and quietly said, “Freeze.”

The giant energy beings suddenly froze. It was as though time had stopped.

“Hear, hear! Our Tyrannical Bastard has returned!” The Engineer Walker exclaimed in excitement.

“Greetings, everyone! Sorry for arriving late to the party,” Baiyi smiled, waving at the Voidwalkers. “Thank you for all of your hard work. Now, let’s wrap this up.”

The Archmage sighed in relief. “And I was thinking, thinking you had ventured int the deep end of cultivation.” The return of his student signaled an end to this incredibly long war.

“Has time been frozen for our enemies again? If it has, is a casual discussion the best use of the free time we have, when we could be devising ways to fight our enemies?” The Knight Walker asked, visibly irritated.

“Nah; no need for that,” Baiyi said, dismissing the suggestion. “This isn’t ‘ZA WARUDO’, you know. I locked those two in their own time. Or, you could accurately say that I banished them from the time-flow of everyone else. Hmm… Just watch this.”

Baiyi opened his palm, and the black flames flickering above it coalesced into a black javelin. He hurled at one of the giant beings, and the black javelin used only moments to pass through the forehead of its target, without causing a scratch. The black javelin continued on its trajectory and eventually disappeared, leaving the forehead uninjured.

“They’re both in a strange state, locked outside our flow of time. This is why they aren’t moving. I’ll be honest with you, though: I’m still not very familiar with all of this.”

“Oh, so you used something similar to the abilities of Outworld Devourer and Shadow Demon’s*, huh?” The Archmage said, using a game that was probably dead as an example.

“You could say that. In the meantime, we can have some fun with them: strike poses in front of their still bodies, or prepare whatever we need to one-shot them. This time-stop effect can hold for a long time, so we really can assume our most embarrassing poses and give lengthy explanations of our abilities,” Baiyi said, chuckling. “To be honest, these two are really weak even though they look scary.”

More black flames shot of the black ball and formed a huge, black specter. This black specter was way, way bigger than the giant energy beings; with almost no effort, it reached out and grabbed the two energy beings.

Baiyi removed the time-stop effect, and the two Archangels, Baal and Paimon — who had just regained their ability to move — realized that they had been trapped by something that resembled a black fog, which was quickly sucking their energies. The Archangels soon shrank back to their original sizes, and at that point, their eyes were glassy. Their Divine Energy and personalities had been sucked away, leaving behind two blank souls.

“Weak and unworthy,” Baiyi said, shaking his head in disappointment. The giant specter casually tossed the souls and watched them fly into the distance. In only moments, the souls passed through the wall of a heavily guarded encampment and entered into Noirciel.

Noirciel — the angel who had been unconscious for a really long time — suddenly jerked, and her eyelids trembled. Her lips parted, and she began to gasp for air. Although her eyes were still shut, she seemed close to waking up.

“With those two, she should be waking up soon,” Baiyi confidently said.

“D-did you just casually wipe out the personalities and energy of two incredibly powerful beings?” The wide-eyed Archmage asked, an expression of disbelief on his face. “Just… Who are you really?”

Baiyi’s display of power had left even his master fearful and respectful.

“It’s quite complicated. It’s probably best to leave explanations until the end of the war. Relax; although I gained new powers on my journey, I’m still the same old me. Nothing about me has changed; for example…” Baiyi said, pointing a finger at the Engineer Walker. The Engineer Walker’s storage pouch instantly flew into Baiyi’s hand.

“Aaah! My precious!”

A tongue of black flames surged out that hand, incinerating the pouch, and its premium quality ero-content, into ashes.

“See? This is something I’d do, right?” Baiyi said with a shrug.

“Aaaaaaarrghhhhhh!” The Engineer Walker charged over like an enraged bull. “You! You are the scum of the earth! You bastard! Bastaaaard! I’ll kill you!”

“It’ll be a little troublesome to banish you to the Void now, but I can easily mute you,” Baiyi sneered and pointed at the charging Engineer Walker. Suddenly, the Voidwalker froze in mid-step, kicked out of the regular time-flow.

The other Voidwalkers watched the demonstration in horror. ‘Help. I think he’s become even crueler!’ They all thought.

“There. Let us return to the academy,” Baiyi said, the black flames around him dissipating, revealing his suit of armor. Baiyi had donned a regular sorcerers’ armor that was nickel-brown in color. It looked so ordinary, one would think he bought it for cheap at a market.

Baiyi had plundered Divine Energy from two very powerful Archangels and could easily craft with it an armor that was more befitting of him. However, he had opted for something simple, shocking everyone that noticed this.

“Oh, this?” Baiyi said when he saw everyone looking at his armor. “I did not think you guys would be so bothered about my outfit. This look is only temporary,” Baiyi said. With a thought, the simple armor transformed into his Sanctus armor, which had two horns and a helmet that could make emotive expressions. At that moment, Baiyi had on a “(-__-)” expression.

“I can freely change my looks. This is not very different from the ability of that Divine Bodysuit being used by the Fairy, Assassin, and Warrior Walkers. I can even transform into my human form,” Baiyi said.

Suddenly, Baiyi felt a fierce gaze land on him. He turned around and saw the Warrior Walker staring at him too intensely.

‘… She’s cooking up some steamy ideas, isn’t she?’
